From the moment we first saw The Elvetham online, we completely fell in love with it. When we visited in person, we fell in love with it even more. It is even more beautiful than the photos, full of history, charm and character. We knew straight away that this was where we wanted to get married. We honestly don’t think there are enough words to describe how much The Elvetham means to us. It has become our favourite place. Of course, the venue itself is absolutely stunning, but what makes it truly special are the people. The staff make an already beautiful place even better. Throughout the whole planning process and on our wedding day, we felt so well looked after. Everyone was so kind, welcoming, helpful and personable. We are incredibly grateful to the entire wedding team, especially Georgia, who was always so friendly, helpful and reassuring. We would also like to thank the hotel manager, the reception team, the restaurant staff, the chef and kitchen team, and every single member of staff who helped make our day so special. The food deserves a special mention because it was absolutely incredible. Our wedding breakfast was amazing and received so many compliments from our guests. Every meal we have ever had at The Elvetham restaurant has also been exceptional, so we already knew our wedding food would be fantastic. The quality has always been consistently outstanding. We are also so pleased we chose to have the Toastmaster David as part of our wedding. He was absolutely brilliant and kept everything running so smoothly while bringing such warmth and professionalism to the day. We would highly recommend having him. What really made The Elvetham stand out were the thoughtful little touches. The night before our wedding, we were welcomed with complimentary chocolates and a lovely card. After the wedding, our stunning bridal suite was beautifully prepared with complimentary champagne, cake, decorations and another thoughtful card. On the day itself, as it was so hot, the hotel manager kindly arranged for all the children at our wedding to be given ice lollies. These may seem like small gestures, but they meant so much to us and perfectly reflect the genuine care and attention the team puts into making every guest’s experience special. We genuinely cannot fault a single person. We visited The Elvetham many times before our wedding, and every single visit was met with the same kindness and exceptional service. It was never just because we were getting married, that is simply how they treat all of their guests, and that says everything about the hotel. We had the most perfect day and couldn’t have wished for anything more. In fact, we already hope that one day one of our close family members or friends chooses to get married at The Elvetham, so that we can experience it all again from the perspective of wedding guests. We will continue to visit and stay at The Elvetham for years to come because it will always have such a special place in our hearts. We cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment I met with Alex Dollin Webster, the Events Manager at the beautiful Estate that is Somerley, I knew we were in safe hands. A warm, professional and hospitable welcome awaits one upon arrival. Together with her Team, Alex ensures that your wishes and vision are bought to life. With effortless execution on the day and with a knowledgeable, friendly and helpful Team, it was an absolute pleasure working with Somerley. The history, and the artwork which once rivalled the King’s collection, are truly magnificent with every room revealing a jaw dropping view onto the Estate and its grounds. The Picture Gallery is fit for Royalty and dining in it makes one feel just that. Indeed you are made to feel like it is your home for the day with endless possibilities whatever one’s taste and Party theme. Having worked in so many 5 star venues in London, around the country and beyond, I cannot recommend Somerley highly enough. It is just sensational! It makes one not only feel you are sharing in a very quintessentially English part of history, but that you can rest in the knowledge that your Event will be splendid! Thank you Alex and Somerley for being a total joy to work with! I know that my client has been left with the most wonderful memories to treasure forever.

SUCH a beautiful venue! We worked a lot with Kyle just before and after our wedding and wow - he was an absolute pleasure to deal with! Nothing was too much trouble and his friendly, helpful attitude just immediately put us at ease. The venue itself is extra special to us since it is also a charity - it’s not a “one in, one out” wedding venue. So we felt like everything was personal and done with love and care. Highly highly recommend 😊

We booked this venue all the way from NYC before we even saw it in person. We KNEW it was a once-in-a-lifetime kind of venue and we wanted to book it as soon as possible. We did take a trip to see it almost a year before our wedding date and it exceeded all of our expectations. It was one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. It all felt like a fairytale, like a place untouched by time. Leading up to the wedding, the team at Pylewell was more than helpful. They answered my millions of questions, helped us plan everything, and were so kind and helpful. I told them that I wished they could run the world because they were truly that organized. They even had a list of recommended vendors for us to work with, all of whom were absolutely outstanding. The day of the wedding, I really did feel like it was straight out of a fairytale. It was so dreamy and beautiful. So many people told us that it was the most beautiful wedding they'd ever been to. I owe that all to Pylewell. We had our family and bridal party staying in the house with us there, and we also had a dinner the night before in the backyard. Everything was absolutely perfect and I relive it every single day. If I could choose to get married a thousand times over, I'd always do it at Pylewell.

My daughter and son in law got married here this past weekend. It was the absolute perfect venue and everything was amazing. The venue itself is stunning and full of character, the reception room is unique and so beautiful (and air conditioned!) and the grounds are gorgeous. The food was fabulous and the service impeccable. Every single one of the staff throughout the weekend was so helpful and kind, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were lovely, especially the incredible bridal suite. Couldn’t fault a single thing about the entire weekend and hugely grateful to the team there and the wedding co-ordinator for all their professionalism, calm and care. Highly recommend this venue. Thank you for an incredible experience.
