Facilities and Capacity

The front entrance of Melchet Court is striking, and the first room guests will see is the magnificent entrance hall, with an enormous fireplace decorated with historic photographs of the area and its past owner, Lord Melchet. The venue is available to host celebrant-led ceremonies and has a choice of three gorgeous ceremony rooms. Select from the beautiful chapel, the morning room, which has a wonderfully sculpted ceiling, or the Italian-style arbour, set in the formal grounds area, with a picturesque pond down the centre aisle. The chapel and the dining hall can accommodate up to 90 guests; however, for a larger wedding party, outdoor ceremonies and marquee dining are available by request. The magnificent dining hall, which leads straight out into the formal gardens, is perfect for balmy summer evening drinks and beautiful group photos of the special day. There are several hidden architectural gems and picturesque spots for newlywed photos, which will leave loved ones with long-lasting memories of a wonderful wedding day.

Upon booking at Melchet Court, couples will be introduced to Faye, the dedicated celebrations coordinator, who will help with planning the big day. Faye will be there from the first meeting until the last dance on the wedding night, taking care of everything in between. After spending a decade as a wedding photographer, Faye knows all the best spots for the perfect day at Melchet Court.
