We got married at Wheal Tor in May. From planning to the big day itself, everything felt relaxed and enjoyable. Sophie and Charlotte are lovely - their laid back nature made everything feel calm. I didn't feel stressed at all. The food was amazing, everyone said how lovely it was. We had gluten-free and vegan options - and it was all delicious. The main reason we chose this place is because it felt very remote, rustic, and magical. Our big day felt so special. We didn't want a huge glam wedding. This was perfect.

I wrote "experience" rather than just "wedding day", because from the moment we booked the Carlyon Bay hotel, we embarked on the most amazing process with the best people! The hotel staff are the kindest, most caring and the MOST helpful people you could ever imagine wanting for your wedding day and wedding planning process. They make sure that the whole process is stress free and manage to take away any worries you may have! Everything from the scenery and the food to the staff was incredible. As the bride, I got a free spa treatment with booking the hotel. I can't explain how amazing that massage was the day before the wedding. Also, having the duchess suite the night before the wedding and being able to get ready there the morning of, was absolutely fabulous. The view you get from that room, the balcony, as well as the incredible room service just was the cherry on top! I still can't believe I got married outside, on a beautiful cliff, with the most beautiful ocean view (not to mention the private beach we got to take photos on!) Our guests are still talking about the day!

Our wedding meal, booked just 5 days prior, was fantastic. The duck leg and starter were phenomenal, and the private room was perfect for our son. The friendly staff made the day stress-free and enjoyable.

It’s almost impossible to write a review that does justice to just how incredibly perfect our wedding was at Talland Bay hotel. Right from our initial visit, we fell in love with this magical hotel. Everything from the stunning views, the most luxurious bedrooms, the amazing views, the incredible food, this really is a very special place. We found planning our wedding with Jack, Kyra and the whole team very easy and straightforward. It was very clear from the outset the entire team at Talland Bay are incredibly passionate, dedicated and professional. Nothing was ever too much, and even with Covid meaning our date had to change several times, the understanding and flexibility shown never faltered. The sun shone for our wedding day, which for late October was truly a blessing. This meant that for our ceremony we were able to have the doors open and say our vows with the incredible view and sea sparkling in the background. Perfection. We feel so lucky we found Talland Bay Hotel and were able to get married there. We had the most amazing wedding and it’s something we will never forget. We went back for our 1st wedding anniversary and it felt so comfortable to be back, almost like the feeling of being at home. As usual, the staff, rooms, food and views were just as we remembered. Outstanding. Thank-you Talland Bay Hotel, you will always a very special place in our hearts. We hope to be back and see you all soon.

We got married in April 2023 , Kate was fab from start to finish, from the moment we booked to the actual day! Our family and friends loved the venue. Would highly recommend this venue for your wedding!

We had an amazing experience with the whole team. Georgia was excellent and couldn’t do more than she did. Every member of staff offered help at every poi t across the weekend and the extra attention for our dog made him fill like he was at home. The service, food and organisation was brilliant, all the guests were so positive and many would love to return again.

A brilliant venue if you're looking for something low key by the sea. They were so accommodating and helpful in the run up. Meg really knows what she is doing and her wonderful team made the venue look beautiful. The food was outstanding, the bar never ran dry.

On behalf of my husbad on I, we want to say a massive thank you to Nina and the team. It exceeded all our expectations, our guests were wowed by the views. We looked at other places in Newquay for a while and no where was close in terms of value for money, staff attentivness and asthetics. I wish we could do it all over again and cant wait to come back for our anniversary

Jodie & Tammy at Lands End made my wedding planning process so much less stressful. Jodie planned our Wedding Reception down to every hour and everything went so smoothly! The food and all the staff were absolutely amazing. The honeymoon suite was beautiful, we even extended our stay by another night to really relax and enjoy ourselves after the excitement of the wedding day. I would recommend The Lands End Hotel to anyone, the views, the people & the planning process was all exceptional.

Our day at Carbis Bay Hotel was perfect. Everything ran smoothly and the team catered for everything we needed. On the run up to the day the staff were on hand to answer my many questions and to provide reassurance when needed, although i would advise that you confirm one point of contact to avoid having to re-explain details each time you call. We had the best day of our lives and our guests loved it (they particularly loved the amazing food!).
