The Malmaison was the perfect venue for us! We wanted city chic vibes, minimalistic yet classy and the venue was everything we dreamed and more. The communication from the events team was 10/10 and we had 100% control in how we wanted our day to go. Everything ran so smoothly due to the team being so involved and the tiny details I hadn't even thought of, the venue had covered! (like a water station). Nothing was too much trouble and the staff on the day were immaculate. Every guest commented on the quality of the food and it was AMAZING! Everything cooked to perfection and the service was so on point with timings, no one had an empty place setting or glass all day. The only negative (and its not a huge thing at all), but the B&B rate for the rooms didn't include a cooked breakfast on room service. Which after the busiest and most perfect day, all we wanted was a bacon sarnie! However on the plus side, the continental brekkie is huge and more than satisfying! We would definitely recommend the Malmaison as a venue!

We honestly had the most amazing day. Walking into the event space was better than I imagined in my head. I was so impressed with the way the team used our items and created something amazing - and had such great judgement to not use it all, just what seemed right. The food was outstanding (even if I couldn't eat most of it due to a tight fitting dress!), the atmosphere, the wonderful and funny bar staff, the welcome, the drinks, the staff bigging me up when I was having photos on the stairs. From the start of it all; booking the Du Vin, to the end result, it felt relaxed and flawless, you always made me feel like everything was under control and I can't thank you enough. Outstanding!

We got married here last weekend and could not have asked for a better day. It ran so smoothly, the food was beautiful, the staff were so helpful and our room was lovely. Would just like to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped make or day so special!

We had 120 guests in the Kilnwick Percy Suite for our wedding breakfast along with 200 guests for the evening, the whole setting was exactly as we imagined and more. The staff we're on hand every step of the way making sure everything ran smoothly. Many of our guests stayed for the full weekend and we took advantage of the facilities including the Glasshouse restaurant which has amazing food and excellent service. Myself and My husband :-) can't thank The KP enough for everything they did for us over our wedding weekend.

Just a note to say thanks to you and all your event staff at Cedar Court.From day one, you provided us with a friendly and exceptionally professional service, we had every confidence the day would be exactly what we wanted, and it was. Fiona and Gary's wedding was a five star day all the way.The staff at Cedar Court provided us with a wedding day never to be forgotten. Decorations and attention to detail in the Board Room were first class.The whole day ran like clockwork, thanks to Eric, a perfect gent. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and the wedding, can’t thank you enough.

my sister got married here in July 14th 2011, it was a perfect day the staff was lovley through out the day and night! the food was really nice to. I'm saving to have my own wedding here in 2013. i can't wait. my whole family loved the place and friends and can't wait to go back.

Everything from the initial planning to the actual day was made so much easier by the staff who were just outstanding. Nothing was ever too much trouble, they always had time for you and were always patient and helpful. The actual Wedding Day couldn''t have gone any better, everything was perfect, exactly what I wanted and had always dreamed of. Excellent location, gorgeous hotel, cannot fault Monk Bar at all *****

I have never been to another venue quite like the Royal York Hotel. The service, attention to detail, venue, everything was beyond outstanding. They couldnt do enough for us, we felt like royalty. I would recommend this to anyone.

The hotel is now owned by The Marriott hotel group but other than internal decoration nothing has changed since it was owned by the Swallow group. Discounts were offered for having a mid week or Sunday reception. They are licenced for civil ceremonies which is what we opted for. The room where the ceremony is is the same as where any meal is held. The food and service was brilliant, very flexible with regard to menu's. In the lead up they were very happy to help with planning numbers, decoration, disco. Discounts given for guests staying in the hotel no minimum numbers, free room for the bride and groom on the night of the wedding. Also only have to pay for 85% of the people at any evening buffet if you've had a sit down meal - this was great as so many people didn't want to eat again so soon. Lovely grounds with plenty of space options for photo's, would have been enough room inside as well if the weather had been bad.

Well the setting is just plainly beautiful and all staff are there to make sure you are treated like Kings and Queens.
