We got married here April 2024 and unfortunately , the evening management team completely ruined our wedding day and this still remains unresolved.

Management justify thier staff members behaviour and ignore you once you raise concerns.

The venue is beautiful BUT the staff here have the complete ability to ruin all the hard work that goes into making your special day special.

The evening managers hounded / followed around our catering team to the point, it almost became physical.

We were not allowed outside past 9pm despite the patio being open until 10:30pm the evening manager persistently followed guests around whilst outside asking them to keep the noise down ( very unhelpful, not friendly, rude and abrupt) my guest complained. It was beyond belief honestly.

The manager Douglas doesn’t seem to understand that people spend their hard earned money for a service and unfortunately it falls very short ( I have screen shots of conversations to prove that - you will not be supported or treated fairly despite their shortcomings. I have given Douglas 6 months to respond so this review is certainly fair.

Very very very poor indeed.

It was so sad as we had always dreamed of a beautiful venue to host our wedding and it was sincerely spoiled.

Points to note :

The venue charge a fee to bring drinks to your own wedding or insist a bar run by their staff ( they are interested only in creaming of guests) despite the huge fee to rent the venue for 1 day and all other associated fees.

We opted for a chargeable bar at 7pm, they were reasonable to allow me to have drinks up until 6pm and we negotiated until 7pm however the rude manager started shouting at guests about drinks on the table ( despite my catering crew complying with their requests ) they continued to shout and cause a scene. Very embarrassing and disrespectful.

Music can’t be too loud ( there are restriction’s which shut the DJ off) imagine this happening during your evening event!!!!! Not great really.

You are responsible for your weddings rubbish entirely ( this isn’t advised to you untill a couple days before wedding) so you’ll need to organise rubbish collectors for additional costs (£350-400)

The bedrooms for guests are not all great at all, basic amenities (bed/ bathroom) and most rooms have damp and mould / leaking water, blocked toilets and flooding in the annexe rooms ( very poor).

There are no breakfast facilities on site for your guests and the stay is basic for all the fees you pay. Check out is 10am and the venue closes at 12am.

You don’t have access to the bridal annexe on the day of the wedding, this isn’t made clear until the day of your wedding or thereafter ( when your told it’s an additional £500).

If you’re brining your own catering team there are huge fees associated (over 1k) and then they are not treated well by the venue staff which ends up causing chaos on the day of your wedding. (Food delays/ additional cleaning )

The kitchen is very dirty and held the catering team up due to needing to clean before starting despite the managers saying this would be done. It wasn’t and they do not acknowledge this caused delays for our catering team to make prepare food.

We spent so much money on a Caribbean jerk grill theme for the patio area and the manager was so awful mannered, guests didn’t want be outside due to him following them around and shushing them
( yes seriously ) we wasted so much food due to this, we asked for a refund and was refused by Douglas but funny enough it’s ok for us to be at a loss, then to make matters worst have our wedding ruined and food wasted. Not happy at all.

I wouldn’t recommend this venue, there are so much better venues that aren’t so restrictive, as for the money you pay - it’s restricted very greatly and what is fun about having a wedding similar to like being in a library.

Avoid this venue and spend money to get quality and value, where the staff work with you to make your day magical, you will not find this here.

The only thing good about this place was Tess and the office ladies who were always so lovely to work with and the grounds are stunning, but everything else is hit and miss and it’s certainly not enough to overlook the issues this venue has.

Other reviews say similar ( rude abrupt staff) it’s very very true.

Hayley at Froyle Park is simply wonderful; she could not have done more to ensure our dreams became reality. You will be in the safest of hands. Froyle Park has some amazing new owners who are investing heavily into the property. The house and grounds are simply stunning and so incredibly versatile giving you the most beautiful blank canvas for your wedding day. Not to mention in the incredible accommodation included in the hire fee AND gorgeous honeymoon suite!!! From the dance floor hoggers to the conversing drink sippers, each room in the beautiful manor house provides a different pace for the different types of guests and different moments in your day. Thank you so much Hayley for all that you did for us, we so greatly appreciate it. Froyle Park is an absolutely stunning venue for your wedding, and the ballroom provides the perfect setting for an unforgettable evening reception party. While you may have come across reviews mentioning the sound limiter affecting the celebrations, I want to assure you that this is not a fault of the venue itself. It's often down to the inexperience of the DJ or entertainment that has been hired.

I am happy to share that not a single person has ever complained about the sound limit or requested it to be turned up.

I have performed at several weddings in Froyle Park and the venue truly feels like I am singing in a movie. But the bonus on top is the Grand Hall, which is perfect for your wedding party. The reason being is - after the wedding breakfast (dinner has ended) all of the tables and chairs are left out for guests to use - and they surround the dance floor and stage. The drinks bar is also in the same large room. Therefore you keep all of your guests in the same room for the evening - which is essential for a great party. At too many venues there is no where for guests to sit down in the evening and easily jump on to the dance floor when their favourite tunes come on.

Stepping out from London to join a family wedding. We had to write a review as we had a brilliant day. Great venue, drinks on the terrace and amazing canapés. The Ballroom for dining and dancing is just the perfect setting. And even a relaxing night's stay. Top venue.

Froyle Park was literally our venue of dreams! The mix of classic/chic decor in the room we got married in and the modern feel of the ballroom for our reception and breakfast was exactly what we wanted! The outside area was perfect for our drinks. The staff were fantastic on the day and so responsive throughout our planning. We had the most perfect day and cannot thank froyle park staff enough for making it so perfect for us. We couldn’t imagine having our wedding anywhere else, just beautiful!

Wonderful venue for an autumn wedding - even the rain didn’t detract from the beauty of the venue. Having exclusive use of all the many varied rooms made it a really personal event.

We have done many events at Froyle Park, and we have not experienced any issues. It has been a great wedding venue, and our clients have always had positive feedback. We understand the venue has a sound limiter, and we highlight the importance of using a DJ that understands how to use the limiter, and also has experience in best working with it.

The volume is more than sufficient for the venue space. It's not the volume, or how loud the music is playing that makes people dance.... It is an experienced DJ.

Froyle park is an extremely well run venue having created the most magical day of our lives. The House & Gardens are beautiful and set within the Hampshire countryside; offering a gorgeous backdrop to photos. We cannot thank the team enough for their help with our day!

We got married at the beginning of September and chose Froyle Park as our wedding venue as it’s a beautiful location and it can comfortably hold larger sized weddings. From the initial enquiries right up to the day itself we found the team to be helpful, patient and responsive to our (many!) emails, with clear explanations about what was required from us at each stage. The venue itself was perfect for an outdoor ceremony (though it could just as easily have been held indoors). We also appreciated its exclusive nature, and the different rooms that allowed for our guests to spread out (there was even a children’s playroom). Also as a dry hire venue it allowed us to create a wedding that was unique to us, but they also provided some great vendor suggestions which helped us with our planning.

The day itself ran smoothly and the on-site overnight accommodation was really comfortable. All our guests loved the venue and enjoyed the grounds. The only hiccups during the day were:
1) the sound limiter tripped out the music once at the start of the evening party, but this was not an issue throughout the rest of the night as our DJ was able to make things work, and so we still had an amazing party without feeling the musical quality was compromised. Tip: once the dance floor was underway we pointed the speakers more directly towards the centre of the ballroom where the dance floor was situated to maximise their effectiveness.
2) as there was a kitchen for the catering, we assumed drinking water was easily accessible if not going with their in-house caterer/drinks supplier during the day. However, as a dry hire venue this was not the case, and it resulted in the coordination team going to buy bottled water for the guests. Tip: make sure you have it arranged separately!

Having read through other reviews, I can see that it hasn’t been smooth sailing for everyone and it is true that there are a number of restrictions in place in terms of what you can and can’t do. But we felt that these were pretty much made clear from the outset when reading the contract through (e.g. we were aware of the sound limiter and were able to discuss this with the DJ from the start, so although it kicked in at the start of the music we had a DJ who was aware and comfortable with using this type of setup and could still deliver an awesome night).

Aside from the small hiccups, overall we had a wonderful day holding our wedding at Froyle Park and from our experience as long as you read the contract properly to understand the way things run you shouldn’t really have any unpleasant surprises on the day. We would fully recommend it as a venue!

We had an absolutely lovely experience at Froyle Park for my daughter's wedding!! The venue is beautiful and the staff are amazinging helpful in every way. We would highly recommend Froyle Park to anyone looking for a wonderful wedding in the country.

We had an amazing day on Friday the 6th of April 2018. so thanks to you and all the staff who made it happen to smoothly! Everyone said what a fantastic venue we had and For us it was excellent that everything was organised nicely so that we could relax and enjoy the day. We would greatly appreciate it if you would pass on our thanks to all members of staff who helped make our wedding so enjoyable. You all contributed to making the event relaxing and yet excellently run - nothing seemed to be too much trouble and staff were so approachable and professional. Even though the weather wasn't perfect, the indoors facilities were much participated in and there were so many fantastic backdrops for photos that we will always treasure.

We would also like to say thank you for everything you guys did this weekend to make our day on Sunday the best it could possibly be! We had the most amazing day and will remember it for ever!
