hey, HDV Brighton was a great choice. I work in the industry and I know how difficult those functions are stressful and time planning and consuming. Dewi and his team were challenged with my requests, but nothing was too much trouble. The food was good and tasty, got to be honest, they exceeded my expectations, but it is important to keep it simple. They know what they are doing and got Jenny - my wedding coordinator on my side to liaise so it is easier. The room itself is sterile. no need to explain that you have to decorate it and light it up - it is add cost on your side, but it is worth it. Here the room in video how it looks.... enjoy and you should trust them and go for it. We had such a lovely day from start to finish! The venue is stunning, we were really looked after by everyone who works there and it made such a difference being able to take the little ones to the beach to blow off some steam and come back to the wedding party. We are from the Midlands (landlocked) so seeing the white cliffs along the sea was a real treat. I would and do recommend to my friends and family as a wedding destination!

Brighton College was an incredible venue, full of lovely areas where you can have beautiful photographs and also with the benefit of all being behind a gate so only your loved ones are there with you - plus massively safe for kids to have free reign to run around without having to worry. Lucy, the venue wedding manager was absolutely incredible both in the lead up and also on the day, she’s very calm and approachable and made us feel really relaxed. Adrian and Fran on the day also ensured the service was perfect from start to finish - we couldn’t believe the standard of the food, honestly felt like it was such good quality and restaurant standard - we’re still getting complemented on it today. Overall you absolutely cannot go wrong with booking this venue and the fact they only have weddings outside of term time makes it feel like a much more exclusive venue as the number of weddings each year is more limited. Best day of our lives ❤️

There were maybe a few misunderstandings along the way, and we kept changing our minds, but it was all sorted out very professionally. Natasha was also brilliant at organising the day, and understood exactly what we wanted, and also came up with ideas I would not have thought myself. The service was top-notch! The only thing was that the food was slightly different from the tasting we had, and we weren't expecting that. A different chef that day perhaps. Otherwise everything ran smoothly, and our signature cocktails were delicious! The space itself was perfect for us, with the wooden floor big enough for proper dancing, unlike most other venues which had carpeted floors and no proper dance floor.

We’ve just had our wedding hosted by the Mercure Brighton and could not be happier with how they handled everything. Their event coordinator, Olivia, was absolutely brilliant from start to finish, (she had to take over the planning of the event from a previous colleague and made such a smooth transition that nothing ever felt disjointed as the planning changed hands). Everything was so thoughtfully executed as they tried to help us to have the perfect day. She was always very helpful with answering our millions of questions and nothing was ever too difficult. She was there from early in the morning until late in the evening for our day, despite having done a wedding the day before too. She even walked with me over to the ceremony venue as it was just over the road to ensure everything made a start as smoothly as it could - she also gave a lot of comforting words during this time to ease my nerves. All of the staff were particularly helpful and amazing throughout the day but we particularly wanted to praise Olivia, Salah, and Eoin who were all incredibly amazing throughout our day and went above and beyond for us. The food was amazing, we got a lot of compliments on it. The room was beautiful, and the staff set up the room even better than how we imagined it. Olivia also went the extra mile and designed a place card with our guests meal choices on, and she added a little logo that fit with the theme of our wedding, my husband has to ask me if I had made it because we just couldn’t believe the attention to detail, it was a lovely and thoughtful surprise. Thank you so much to all the staff here; we had an amazing day with you.
