Overlooking the iconic Brighton seafront stands Pier Court, a newly renovated (and newly renamed!) bar and terrace offering stylish wedding celebrations for modern couples. Whether you want to enjoy our spacious, light-filled main room for dinner and dancing, or bask in the sunshine with a cocktail on our large terrace, we've got everything you need for a memorable wedding day by the sea.
We've recently partnered with an experienced wedding planning team, Foil Events, to give you total peace of mind throughout your planning process. Lead planner, Kate, and her team will be on-hand to look after you from enquiry right on through to the big day itself, with optional extras such as venue setup and styling or even full wedding day management if you're looking for a completely stress-free day.
Facilities and Capacity
The interior combines a mixture of exposed brickwork and stained glass windows with warm cedar paneling and modern dashes of colour and greenery. Our space can cater to an intimate sit-down dinner for up to 85, enjoying delicious menus from our in-house catering team. For a more informal standing reception with a band and DJ, the venue can welcome up to 200 guests. Either way, Pier Court provides a unique and stylish alternative for couples seeking something a little different from the traditional, hotel-style wedding, creating a day that's truly your own.

However you're envisioning your day, our experience in-house wedding team will be able to guide you every step of the way, we'll also advise you on the best way to structure your day for a seamless experience, how to tailor our drinks packages to suit your budget and format, plus recommendations from our curated list of excellent local suppliers.
Our catering team have been delivering incredible menus to our couples for over a decade. These include everything from a three-course, sit-down sharing-style meal to platters and BBQ options, as well as canapés, bowl food and late night snacks. You even have the option of organising some extra special touches through us, such as an unlimited soft-whip ice cream station and freshly-made churros.
Last but definitely not least, our incredible seaview accommodation and penthouse are located directly above the venue, so are perfect for accommodating any out-of-town guests, as well as providing you with the perfect spot for a full weekend of wedding celebrations!
How much does a wedding at Pier Court cost?
Our venue hire fees range from £850 to £1100 depending on the day and season. Our menus start from as little as £30 per head, with plenty of options to elevate your guests' experience. Bar minimum spends start at £4000 and can incorporate our flexible drinks packages. We offer competitive rates on our accommodation for wedding bookings. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Exceptional Service – The Perfect Wedding Day
We recently had our wedding at this venue, and I can honestly say the team on the day were nothing short of exceptional. From start to finish, their dedication, professionalism, and genuine care made our day absolutely unforgettable.
Every detail was thought of and handled with such ease and confidence that we were able to completely relax and enjoy ourselves. The team went above and beyond at every opportunity—not just meeting, but far exceeding our expectations. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and their calm, friendly presence made a huge difference throughout the day.
So many of our guests commented on how smoothly everything ran and how welcoming and attentive the staff were. It was clear that they truly cared about making our day special, and they absolutely succeeded.
We are so incredibly grateful to the whole team for their hard work, warmth, and impeccable service. You helped create memories we will cherish forever. Everything went perfectly to plan!
Patterns was our first choice of venue and it didn't disappoint. The room looked amazing on the day, bright and clean. Ruby was so supportive throughout the planning process and the whole day ran smoothly and seamlessly. During the wedding Ruby and her team were on the ball using their initiative to manage the day so we didn't have to do or worry about a thing. Highly recommend!!
Great value, central venue!
Pros:
The location is amazing and compared to other venues of a similar size, the package we selected was very reasonable.
They were very flexible with us in terms of decorating and venue access.
They have high-spec audio equipment on site for DJ's.
They are very LGBTQ+ friendly.
The buffet we ordered went down really well and our guests especially enjoyed the mini-quiches and salt beef bagels!
We were very impressed by the staff on the night, who were friendly, accommodating and very quick to deal with any issues.
Cons:
The company who you will be dealing with re: your booking is based in London rather than Brighton and we found them often quite difficult to get hold of, or unresponsive.
It took just over a month for us to get our deposit back.
If you are thinking of hiring the venue on a Friday or Saturday night, I would recommend opting for additional door security and operating a guestlist or wristband system as we had a few gate-crashers wander in towards the end of the night.
On balance:
We had an amazing and unforgettable night and as long as you are willing to be patient receiving responses and updates, I'd say go for it!
Amazing Day made hassle free by incredible staff
The Staff on the day at the venue were so welcoming and friendly which you really felt made the event all that more enjoyable. They made sure to put enough crew on the bar and the service was on point. The cocktails were done properly and the drinks were served quickly .
The way the bar is set out with the outdoor terrace and the indoor seating makes for such a great space for people to mingle round and the stage is perfect for speeches and the lives music. We managed to fit a 6 piece band on stage and the bar was pumping plenty of space for everyone to dance without feeling too big.
But what was best of all is the location your in the heart of Brighton over looking the sea and Brighton pier. We had our main ceremony on the Brighton band stand and then held a drinks reception at a bar mid way between patterns and the band stand and then we walked down the beach with drinks in hand on our way to patterns. We honestly couldn't have asked for a better day.
