My Husband and I were luckily enough to get married in the stunning grounds of Quantock Lakes at the end of March 2025. Not only are the grounds and facilties incredible with every detail thought out, the staff cannot do enough to ensure you have all you need. Huge shout out to Sarah who supported us in the lead up the the wedding and to Nadine who was with us on the weekend of our wedding. Our wedding went without a Hitch and it is because of the whole team and how well orginised they are.

The Wedding of Our Dreams – 17th April 2025

Quantock Lakes has always held a special place in my heart. Over the years, I’ve been lucky enough to attend several weddings there, and I’ve even worked at the venue myself—so I know exactly how it operates behind the scenes. One thing I always say to people is: Quantock is a well-oiled machine. It just works. Everything flows effortlessly, and that seamless experience is what truly sets it apart.

When it came to planning our own wedding, there was never any doubt in mine and Tom’s minds—Quantock Lakes was our dream venue. And on the 17th of April 2025, it exceeded every single expectation we had. From the very beginning, dealing with Laura and the wonderful booking team was a joy. They made the entire process smooth, professional, and exciting.

A huge thank you also to Sarah, who was always on hand for any questions we had throughout the planning process. She was so quick to respond and never made anything feel like too much trouble—always happy to ask the questions on our behalf and make sure we had all the information we needed. Her support gave us such peace of mind and made the lead-up to the day that much easier.

As the big day approached, our incredible wedding coordinator Nadine stepped in—and what an absolute star she is. On the day itself, Nadine was everywhere we needed her to be and somehow always one step ahead. Her calm, kind, and capable presence meant we didn’t have to worry about a thing. She genuinely couldn’t have done any more for us—she was outstanding.

The entire staff were amazing—from the waitressing team to the bar staff and housekeeping. Everyone was helpful, positive, and always smiling. You can really feel that the team take pride in what they do and genuinely care about your day being perfect.

We’ve had so many of our guests tell us it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding. And honestly, we couldn’t agree more—it was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented.

The accommodation at Quantock Lakes truly takes the venue to another level. Being a perfectionist myself, I couldn’t fault a single thing. The cleanliness is next-level—the entire place is absolutely spotless, and it always feels like you’re the very first people who’ve ever stayed there. That attention to detail is just another thing that makes Quantock so special.

Our wedding day was perfect in every way, and that’s because we were surrounded by such a dedicated, caring, and talented team. If you’re thinking about booking Quantock Lakes—do it. You’ll be in the best hands, and you’ll have the most magical experience imaginable.

I married my husband here last weekend and I was blown away by the entire team throughout the weekend. Not only did the team ensure the build up to the wedding went smoothly, on the day everything ran perfectly all thanks to Kelly! My husband and I could not be any more thankful to Quantock Lakes for the most breath taking day. If we could be married again, we would choose Quantock Lakes over and over again for their support, love and care. They did not miss a single detail and I am so thankful. After having a very stressful and long journey down Quantock Lakes on the Friday as the m5 was closed, from the moment we arrived the staff made us feel at ease and got stuck into helping with decorating to ensure everything was done and we could go and enjoy the accommodation with friends.

The accommodation was spotlessly clean, all of our guests were so impressed.

The wedding day was perfect, we didn’t have to do anything as Kelly sorted out all of the suppliers coming for the day so it was stress free and we could enjoy every second.

My guests are still raving about the food now with many saying it’s the best beef they’ve ever had.

The breakfast on Sunday was also outstanding. We will definitely be coming down to "Kitchen" for food again soon.

We are so happy that we found you on instagram, our day was amazing and we loved every second of it.

Front of house experience:

We visited Quantock lakes for the first time in Feb 2023 and were completely blown away initially by the beautiful grounds. Laura was incredible and explained everything the venue had to offer, we felt so welcomed and felt so at home in the venue. We knew straight away it was the place for us.

Everyone we’ve dealt with at the venue has been so understanding, thoughtful and considerate. We mostly dealt with Sarah on the lead up to the wedding, and had Kelly as our coordinator on the day. Both were amazing and really helped bring our day to life.

Accommodation/housekeeping team:

The accommodation was immaculate it was spotless and all of our guests were so complimentary of the accommodation, they couldn’t believe how lovely it was. We loved that so many of our guests could stay on site. We appreciate the house keeping team letting us in slightly earlier on Friday to put food and drink into the fridges. They all went above and beyond and everyone was so polite and friendly.

Catering team:

Wow the food was incredible, everyone loved it and were completely stuffed from the amount available! Our guests definitely didn’t go hungry! The canapés, wedding breakfast and evening pizzas were great. Service from all staff was fantastic.

Overall we honestly had the most incredible experience at QL - we would recommend this venue to everyone, the experience created by the staff here is out of this world they can’t do enough for you.

We simply could not recommend Quantock Lakes enough, from the moment we first contacted you we knew we would get married there!

The whole team were so helpful, right from the start. And the venue obviously speaks for itself, it’s hard to find somewhere as stunning as Quantock lakes! The day we came and you showed us around, we knew when we left there was no point in going anywhere else!

We also knew we made the right venue choice when contacting suppliers - and they where all thrilled when we told them our wedding was at Quantock Lakes!

When our day finally came round, as soon as we arrived we where greeted with such kindness and excitement from everyone we saw, the venue was perfectly set up for us to add our own touches to, and the accommodation was absolutely spotless and so perfect for what we all needed!

Everyone who stayed commented on how lovely the accommodation was, and one small maintenance issue in one room was solved so quickly with no fuss or worry at all!

Catering wise- the food we had on our wedding day and following morning for breakfast was AMAZING! It was delicious and so much of it! The profiteroles where out of this world, so many of our guests have mentioned them.

We didn’t have to worry about a single thing on our day, everything was managed so well by the team with our suppliers, which really was one of the best things to us! We could enjoy our day completely and know everything was running as it should!

We had the most wonderful day, and full wedding experience with Quantock Lakes. From our viewing with Laura to first planning meeting with Sarah through to our wedding day, everything was perfect. We cannot thank you all enough for making our wedding experience so, so special.

We would’ve been completely lost without our meetings. It was a huge help in making everything fall into place & being able to picture everything, just how we wanted it to be.

The attention to detail and engagement with us throughout the whole two years of planning was amazing, especially helping us visualise the different options for the ceremony setup.

Our wedding day was the most special day and that would not have been possible without the seamless help of all of the wedding team.

On the day – not a thing went wrong – or if it did, we knew nothing about it! Every single thing was seamless and perfect.

I'm just writing to let you know what an amazing and magical day we had for our daughter Sheri, and her now husband Rossi. 

 The wedding day itself went like clockwork thanks to your teams dedication and hard work. Not one single blip! Nothing was too much to ask for. Every single member of staff deserves to know how much we appreciated how hard they work, and how special they made the bride and groom feel. 

What a magical day. We will never forget it and will talk about it with huge smiles on our faces for a long time.

We got married here in June 24, from the very beginning of going to view Quantock Lakes and the stunning views to every encounter we had since we could not fault.

The accommodation is so luxurious and so many guests can't stop complimenting how amazing Quantock Lakes is.

We were unfortunate to not have the best weather to get married outside, but this did not hinder the day at all!

I never on the day felt like I had to worry about anything.

It is so hard to put into words how stunning and well looked after the venue and accommodations are!

The venue is the most perfect space that has all bases covered with the old barn for the ceremony through to the incredibly bright (even on our cloudy wedding day) food room!

The team were amazing. They were so thoughtful and helpful and no task was too big for them. They really added to the experience and contributed to the perfect day!

From the moment we booked this venue 2 years before we got married, we knew it was the one.

Start to finish the team at Quantock Lakes have been amazing, planning a wedding comes with stress but the whole team have been super helpful with every email, text or call that I had made in the planning process - even if that was quite regular!!!

Nothing ever seemed like too much trouble.

The accommodation was just STUNNING. All 36 of our guests said not only was it a wedding, it was like a little holiday.

The rooms were stunning, the bridal getting ready room is every brides dream, the view and everything else in between was just perfect.

I really couldn’t have wished for anything better for such a memorable event.

We may be biased, but Quantock Lakes is, in our opinion, the best wedding venue we have ever been to, and we were fortunate enough to have it as our wedding venue. From the very beginning, the team was lovely, clear, efficient, and helpful. Since they exclusively focus on weddings, we felt confident that we were in good hands. They guided us through every aspect of the day and allowed us to add our personal touches wherever we wanted. They listened to all our requests and supported our ideas whenever possible.

The accommodation was truly amazing, with a beautiful setting, incredible facilities, and access to activities and sound systems. Our friends and family were also in awe of the place, and we only wished we could have stayed longer. It was the perfect setting for a pre-wedding party with our nearest and dearest.

The wedding day itself ran smoothly for us as the bride and groom, as any issues were instantly handled by the amazing team. The music cues were perfect, the room turnarounds were fast and efficient, and the food and drinks were incredible. Thanks to their hard work, we were both able to simply enjoy our day without being troubled by any issues.

A huge plus for us, was it's a super easy wheelchair accessible venue, that often gets overlooked at wedding venues. It was fantastic!

We cannot thank them enough for helping us put on the most incredible day, and helping us live out the very best day of our lives!

We had always dreamed of having a lake side venue, and by chance come across Quantock lake on Facebook. I never dreamed a venue like that would be in budget!

Our dreams became true once we were shown around. It's even more mesmerising in person. The day came where everything went smoothly, despite battling the rain. The staff went above and beyond throughout, even with our last minute changes were catered for!

The food is 5*, I've had so many guests say the food was one of the best they've had at a wedding.

Quantock lakes truly made our dreams come true, and the day so magical. Thank you to all the staff.
