Barn & Farm Wedding Venues in Oxfordshire

We just wanted to share how fantastic Lains Barn have been through the early stages of planning our wedding, the day itself and even after the wedding. When we first looked round the barn, Martin (the owner) was very keen to show us around himself and explain exactly how the day would look as well as reassuring us that our wedding would be in safe hands. We were given a very reasonable price and then Rachel took over, who answered all of our questions day or night, no matter how small! We were able to visit the barn on several occasions and arrange our stuff there the day before. On the day itself, Katy and the team were absolutely incredible. They went above and beyond with our decor, and we felt very confident everything was in safe and professional hands. The food was delicious (we recommend the tiramisu!), and no faults on service. It rained all day but that was not a problem, this venue has the flexibility for an indoor reception, and it meant that the barn was all the more warm and inviting (perfect for a ceilidh). We cannot fault Lains Barn at all and we are genuinely thrilled that we chose to celebrate our wedding here.

From the very beginning, the team were so helpful and organised, guiding us through every step of the planning process and keeping communication clear and easy even with the hundreds of questions that we had!! They went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly on the day, and we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful setting or more supportive staff. All of our guests were so impressed with the venue and service, and we felt completely relaxed knowing everything was taken care of.. I knew I wanted to get married at The Great Barn the second I walked in, I got goosebumps! It is such a stunning venue, perfectly suited to host our Autumnal wedding. The cosy, rustic vibe with twinkly lights brings all the magic you could want. On the day, Alice went above and beyond to support our needs and help our dreams come true, we couldn’t have done it without her and the rest of the team at The Great Barn. Food and drinks were a huge hit from our guests with so many compliments. I couldn’t imagine getting married anywhere else, truly the best day of our lives! - Andy and Abby Willett

We knew as soon as we walked in this had to be our wedding reception venue. It’s quite frankly breathtaking. Paige and the team work like little unseen elves to make every single detail PERFECT. They go the extra mile, care so much about the couple, are so passionate and it really shows with how seamless the whole day was. From the very first meeting, as the bride, I couldn’t have been more relaxed because they were there every single step of the way, down to putting together final decor less than 12 hours before to avoid disaster! The FOOD deserves a 5 star review just of its own. Every single guest still talks about the food months down the line - we all have withdrawals! I had never been to a single wedding before ours so I really was going in blind but with Paige and the team guiding me and advising me every single step of the way, we pulled off the wedding of DREAMS. Every guest couldn’t believe the venue, the details, the level of service. Merriscourt will hold the dearest place in my heart forever and I’m so grateful to have chosen it for such a beautiful memory. I can only hope I get to attend more weddings there in future! We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding than at Tythe. The two-day Friday wedding option was hands down the best decision we made, it gave us time to settle in, relax, and really enjoy every moment with our guests. Jess and Emma were incredible both in the lead up and on the day itself, making everything feel effortless and completely stress-free. A special mention to Emma Deeley too, her vision for the place is amazing. Tythe is so consistent in its style and structure, yet it has a luxurious feel that makes it truly unique. The food by Absolute Taste was out of this world, so many of our guests commented it was the best wedding food they’d ever had. All in all, it was a perfect day at a 10/10 venue. We’ll be forever grateful to the whole Tythe team for making it so special.

We honestly couldn’t recommend this venue more highly. From start to finish, the team were incredible — so welcoming, kind, efficient, and genuinely affordable, which made such a difference. Amelia and Kira were amazing throughout the whole process. They made us feel so well cared for and supported, and their organisation on the day was outstanding. Everything ran so smoothly, which meant we could fully relax and enjoy every moment. The venue itself is beautiful, and the farmhouse where our family and wedding party stayed is a gorgeous Cotswold home. It created such a warm, relaxed atmosphere and was the perfect place for everyone to gather and celebrate together. For the price we paid it was the most affordable and by far the best option of all we saw similar in Oxford even compared to venues twice the price. We truly couldn’t imagine having our wedding anywhere else — it was the perfect place to begin our marriage.

What an amazing venue! From our first visit to Cogges Manor Farm to our communication with Janette, to our actual wedding day everything was just perfect!! Cogges offered two fantastic rustic barns which we were able to add our own personalities too. This on top of the beautiful lawn and gardens which offer the ideal place for a drinks reception, especially when the Wisteria has a second blooming. Our family and friends all commented on the relaxed, welcoming setting which Cogges has and how it offered something for everyone. The goats also proved a huge hit with the guests and had everyone smiling, though you may want to double check none have gone missing!! Finally a big shout out to all the staff and volunteers at Cogges and in particular Janette who was an amazing sounding board who listened to all of our ideas, always responded quickly and her relaxed demeanour definitely saved us a lot of stress.

Absolutely no faults whatsoever as a wedding venue. The space, ferne wood, and the rooms, made our special day genuinely the best day of our lives. We had great support from the staff, especially Rose who was our wedding planner, and Seb helped on the day and night. We had so many comments from guests that the venue was stunning, and from start to finish Rose and the team were so flexible and accommodating with what we wanted, decorations, contingencies, and adjustments on the day. The whole team are incredibly friendly, so if you're on the fence or would just like a visit, give them a ring and they will sweep you off your feet!

The team is amazing, really accommodating, friendly and catered for our needs. A wonderful place in the beautiful countryside.

Lauren and the B&G team went above and beyond to make sure our day went seamlessly. The food was outstanding and we receive compliments on the lamb to this day. In the run up to the event everything felt laid back but no ask was too much - the Bottle and Glass team made us felt listened to. We picked the B&G, in part, because we didn't want to feel like a conveyor-belt wedding and boy did they deliver. Our day felt intimate but with bags of personality! Thank you to the team for making our dream wedding become a reality!
