Barn & Farm Wedding Venues in Oxfordshire

We just wanted to share how fantastic Lains Barn have been through the early stages of planning our wedding, the day itself and even after the wedding. When we first looked round the barn, Martin (the owner) was very keen to show us around himself and explain exactly how the day would look as well as reassuring us that our wedding would be in safe hands. We were given a very reasonable price and then Rachel took over, who answered all of our questions day or night, no matter how small! We were able to visit the barn on several occasions and arrange our stuff there the day before. On the day itself, Katy and the team were absolutely incredible. They went above and beyond with our decor, and we felt very confident everything was in safe and professional hands. The food was delicious (we recommend the tiramisu!), and no faults on service. It rained all day but that was not a problem, this venue has the flexibility for an indoor reception, and it meant that the barn was all the more warm and inviting (perfect for a ceilidh). We cannot fault Lains Barn at all and we are genuinely thrilled that we chose to celebrate our wedding here.

From the very beginning, the team were so helpful and organised, guiding us through every step of the planning process and keeping communication clear and easy even with the hundreds of questions that we had!! They went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly on the day, and we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful setting or more supportive staff. All of our guests were so impressed with the venue and service, and we felt completely relaxed knowing everything was taken care of.. Grace was Amazing, and everyone at the Great Barn was so friendly and helpful. Grace, who was managing our day, had everything sorted by 1030, which took all the stress off us and ensured any issues were sorted. It was such a special day for us, and for it to take place in such a wonderful setting as well made the day even more magical. We couldn't have done it without the support of Grace and the rest of the venue's amazing team. The food was also incredible, both for the wedding breakfast and the evening pizzas that followed.

From the moment we chose Merriscourt, we knew we were in the best hands. Paige was like a wing woman from day one – so kind, supportive, and genuinely invested in our day. I honestly feel like I made a friend in her! In nearly every one of our wedding photos, she’s there in the background smiling, and it makes my heart so happy. Emily was an organised queen – calm, professional, and always one step ahead. Georgia was brilliant on the day, running around making sure every last detail was perfect. Together, the team made everything feel effortless. What really stands out is how much they get to know their couples. It never felt like a transaction – everything was transparent, fair, and handled with such care. The venue itself is breathtaking, and the food was off-the-charts memorable. If you’re looking for a venue that’s not only stunning but also filled with people who truly care, Merriscourt is it.

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding than at Tythe. The two-day Friday wedding option was hands down the best decision we made, it gave us time to settle in, relax, and really enjoy every moment with our guests. Jess and Emma were incredible both in the lead up and on the day itself, making everything feel effortless and completely stress-free. A special mention to Emma Deeley too, her vision for the place is amazing. Tythe is so consistent in its style and structure, yet it has a luxurious feel that makes it truly unique. The food by Absolute Taste was out of this world, so many of our guests commented it was the best wedding food they’d ever had. All in all, it was a perfect day at a 10/10 venue. We’ll be forever grateful to the whole Tythe team for making it so special.

Worton Hall was the perfect wedding venue for us. We had a decent size wedding with 150 guests, and we found so few venues that catered to a larger guest list that looked this incredible! The room felt so spacious even with 16 tables and 150 guests, and having the mezzanine for a more chill space with games was the cherry on top. We had a multicultural wedding, so really appreciated how they allowed for external caterers for a low and reasonable fee, as this allowed us to have West African food as part of our day. Amelia was amazing throughout, she was on top of all the logistics and details throughout the planning process and on the day. She was also responsive, gave us some great advice and tips throughout and coordinated with our different vendors brilliantly. This gave us peace of mind throughout and one less thing to worry about. Amelia was also friendly and kind, we really enjoyed doing our wine tasting with her and hanging out. Another standout with Worton was all the additional décor they provide, we love their taste and it fit our aesthetic perfectly. The fairy lights, chandeliers, sweet cart, easel, cake stand, and other bits and bobs look so great in our photos. It was great how the hire covered the Friday and Saturday, allow us to setup on the Friday and giving the vendors the flexibility to setup either on the Friday during the day or Saturday in the morning. Having the Farmhouse and Stable Cottage as additional accommodation on site available for hire was so convenient giving us two great spaces for the bridal and grooms parties to get ready and get more wonderful looking photos. One thing to note is that with Worton you do need to get drink packages from them, as their corkage price makes getting drinks elsewhere pretty unfeasible. So do factor that into your costs. But we really liked the drinks they offered and it's great that bar staff and service are included in the venue hire price and not an additional fee. We couldn't have been more happy with Worton Hall and Amelia, it was such a wonderful venue for us. Such great value for money too, we honestly loved it.

What an amazing venue! From our first visit to Cogges Manor Farm to our communication with Janette, to our actual wedding day everything was just perfect!! Cogges offered two fantastic rustic barns which we were able to add our own personalities too. This on top of the beautiful lawn and gardens which offer the ideal place for a drinks reception, especially when the Wisteria has a second blooming. Our family and friends all commented on the relaxed, welcoming setting which Cogges has and how it offered something for everyone. The goats also proved a huge hit with the guests and had everyone smiling, though you may want to double check none have gone missing!! Finally a big shout out to all the staff and volunteers at Cogges and in particular Janette who was an amazing sounding board who listened to all of our ideas, always responded quickly and her relaxed demeanour definitely saved us a lot of stress.

Amazing venue, had everything we wanted and was absolutely gorgeous. We looked at 15 venues before picking Stratton Court Barn, we loved the way it looked, all the different spaces, the team, and it seemed to be really good value. Our co-ordinator was Rose, they were open to all our ideas and were flexible to help make our wedding personalised to us, such as by adapting the drinks options. The handover two days before the wedding was very smooth but I think we could have benefited from more of a sit down run through as our brains were a wedding planning mush at that point! The day was pretty seamless, initially the place settings were in the wrong place but this got sorted once raised by the groom. The getting ready space was lovely and we had Granary cottage the night of the wedding which we definitely recommend. We had S&J as our caterers and they worked with the venue really well. Thank you so much SCB for helping make our wedding day so special.

We got married at Dovecote in August 2025. From the moment we viewed the venue we felt completely at ease and welcomed. All of the different spaces around the venue were beautiful and allowed our guests lots of space to move around. The food was exceptional and people still mention this to us now. Mel and the team were on hand all day which allowed us to fully relax and enjoy the day. This is a picturesque venue with an amazing team!

Lauren and the team at The Bottle & Glass Barn were simply such a pleasure to deal with. There was genuine care in all that they did and they worked tirelessly throughout the entire process. The barn and surroundings create such a beautiful setting for any wedding and the food left people speechless! Our day was made so special and stress free that I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this venue to anyone considering. You won’t regret it!
