We recently had our wedding at Blackwell Grange and honestly could not have asked for a more perfect venue. From the moment we first enquired, Stuart, Suzy, Hannah and Eve were absolutely fantastic. They were so welcoming, helpful and professional throughout the entire process, making everything feel stress-free and well organised from start to finish.

We had around 65 guests attending and the venue was the perfect size, intimate, beautiful and incredibly well run. The team went above and beyond to make sure every detail was taken care of, allowing us to relax and truly enjoy our special day with our family and friends.

The setting itself is stunning and created such an amazing atmosphere for our wedding. So many of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and how smoothly everything ran. The food, service and attention to detail were all exceptional.

Blackwell Grange is such a stunning venue and we are so happy we chose to get married there. From the first planning meeting to the day itself, Suzy was truly amazing. Planning a wedding from overseas was definitely challenging, but Suzy was a superstar, helping answer all of our questions, helping us make decisions and making the day run smoothly. The food was amazing on the day – We had so many compliments from all of our guests saying it was some of the best wedding food they’ve had. The day was truly magical and we wouldn’t have been able to do so without the help of the Blackwell Grange team and Suzy especially. Would highly recommend this venue to anyone who is looking to have a wedding in the Cotswolds. It is truly a magical place.

The level of care and attention not only on the day, but also leading up to it, from planning the catering, order of the day, etc., was incredible. Both the 1604 and management teams were helpful, responsive and supportive, as well as lovely and empathetic on a personal level. We recently had our wedding at Blackwell Grange, and we honestly couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. Nestled in the beautiful Cotswold countryside, the venue is absolutely stunning - from the charming Thatched Barn for the ceremony to the gorgeous gardens, which were in full bloom for our summer wedding. I also particularly loved getting ready in the Potting Shed, which had a row of mirrors and chairs, like a salon, as well as a bathroom and coffee and tea facilities. Perfect for getting ready with my bridesmaids!

From start to finish, everything was flawless. We felt so at ease and truly cared for thanks to Suzy and her incredible team, whose professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail made all the difference. Nothing was too much trouble, and their calm, friendly presence allowed us to really relax and enjoy every moment.

The food was divine - beautifully presented, delicious, and loved by every single one of our guests. We've had so many compliments since, not only about the meal but also about how breathtaking the venue was.

We’re so grateful for the love and care that went into making our day so special. It was everything we dreamed of and more – truly a day we’ll never forget. If you're looking for a magical countryside venue with exceptional service, we couldn't recommend Blackwell Grange more highly.

What can we say, they were the perfect venue. The managing staff and wait staff were superb. We had so many compliments on the food and how helpful the staff was on the day. A special thanks to Stuart and Suzy who were by our sides all day. The attention to detail on the day and the constant communication beforehand made the whole experience really relaxing.

If you can, do stay the night before your wedding! It makes the morning of the wedding so relaxing. We had an amazing meal prepared by Didi the night before which was lovely! The rooms are stunning! And we loved that every room has it's own theme - so creative.

We fell in love with Blackwell Grange as soon as we visited. We got married on 11/4/25 and we had the most perfect day from start to finish. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, and the thatched barn is just breathtaking. Luckily, we had brilliant weather too. The staff are amazing. The communication throughout was outstanding. All of the staff are professional, organised and efficient. Special mention to Suzy, who is absolutely lovely and really made our day so special. All of our guests commented on what a perfect venue it was and everything from start to finish was everything we dreamed of.

Blackwell Grange was the perfect venue for our wedding and truly exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we first visited, we knew it was special. We were looking for a rustic venue that could hold everything in one place, and Blackwell Grange had it all.

The Thatch Barn was absolutely stunning, creating a warm and intimate atmosphere, and the smell of the open fire added an unforgettable touch to the experience. The Potting Shed was a dream for the bridal party to get ready; a comfortable, stylish space that made the morning so enjoyable and stress-free.

The venue’s recommended suppliers were spot on. After doing our own extensive research, we ended up choosing their recommended band, hair and makeup artist, and photographer; all of whom were incredible. It was so reassuring to have a curated list of trusted vendors to work with.

While the catering is in-house and non-negotiable, the team went above and beyond to accommodate all dietary requirements, and the food was exceptional. Portion sizes, which were initially a concern of ours, were generous, and the quality was top-notch. Friends and family couldn’t stop raving about the meals, with many saying it was the best wedding food they’d ever had.

And the pizzas? Unforgettable. They were served in the evening as a delightful twist on traditional canapés (though far from canapé-sized!) and were truly the best we’ve ever had. They even catered to our request of a pesto-based chicken pizza, which I can highly recommend! The staff’s service was impeccable throughout the day, from ensuring all guests were well-catered to, to bringing pizzas around the party so no one missed out.

The Snug was a wonderful place for the grooms’ party in the morning and afterwards, a retreat for guests needing a break, especially for our family members with disabilities. It offered a quiet escape with teas and coffees available, yet still had a window to the main party so guests could feel connected to the festivities.

A couple of practical considerations: there is a strict time limit, with music and the bar ending at 11pm, and guests not staying on-site needing to leave by 11:30pm. Additionally, the venue has a decibel limit due to its rural location, so it’s something to keep in mind when planning your music. That said, none of this took away from our experience; we truly had the best day ever.

A massive shout out to Suzy and her team who, when given any query or issues, dealt with it so quickly and professionally, that we needn't have ever worried.

From the first time we saw Blackwell Grange we fell in love with the venue. From our initial visit through to our wedding day the team were fabulous and easy to talk to. Would highly recommend!❤️

Food lived up to its reputation - it was very tasty, nicely presented and good sized portions. Staff were attentive, professional and provided excellent service.

Driving up to Blackwell (which was a venue recommended by a friend and a last minute viewing), I was simply blown away. I remember leaving after and turning to my future husband with tears in my eyes as I just knew that this was where we were supposed to get married.

The wedding barn is just simply beautiful and needs no extra 'razzmatazz' as the fire is a standout feature.
The Reception barn is light, airy and bright with tonnes of space including a lounge area upstairs.

We got ready at the venue in the potting shed which had been kitted out with make up lights to support our make up artists on the day.

The venue were supportive in allowing us to open a room early for our young child and the babysitter.

A few things to note:
- The venue do have their own preferred entertainment suppliers and we had to pay extra for our band to sound check as there are strict noise rules.
- Breakfast in the morning is continental so if you are requiring a cooked breakfast to ease your hangovers, you may need to stop off somewhere on the way home.

We had our incredible day in November 2023. Blackwell Grange is a simply stunning venue, the details and the care taken to design the venue and the accommodation is amazing.

The planning stages with the Blackwell Grange team was thoroughly enjoyable and we were put at ease every step of the way. The team are so helpful, friendly and are experts at what they do.

On the day so many of our guests commented on the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The quality of the food and drinks was absolutely amazing & really added to the day.

A very very special thank you to Suzy, Suzy was amazing, and helped me out personally so much, hanging up my dress with me and getting everything sorted, she really went above and beyond.

We got married here at the end of October and had the best day! The venue is beautiful and the staff are so helpful and made everything so easy. They were on hand at every step of the process, from booking right through to picking up our decorations the day after the wedding. They were always happy to answer questions (and I had a lot) and do whatever they can to make your special day go smoothly. They even let me arrive in a tractor!
We cannot recommend this venue highly enough, very professional and very helpful. Plus the food is amazing!
