Chris at Short Legs Dog Care was absolutely fantastic looking after our miniature schnauzer, Cleo, during our wedding. She picked Cleo up and dropped her off at our venue (Manor by the Lake), making the whole process smooth and stress-free. Chris also brought her along for photos, and even though Cleo was nervous, she was well looked after and included in our special moments. Knowing Cleo was in such good hands gave us complete peace of mind, allowing us to fully enjoy our day. We couldn’t have asked for better care—highly recommend!

Chris was really flexible and eager to work around our day to suit our needs and our dogs (Nellie) when we were going through the booking process. On the day, Chris was just great. She went with the flow of changed plans due to the weather, she helped Nellie to pose for some great pictures, and overall was just an amazing companion for Nellie - she absolutely loved Chris. We really couldn’t have done the day without her - to completely take away the worry of us or family having to mind Nellie throughout the day, but to also have her included in our day was really special and absolutely worth it! She was fussed, walked, fed, and then dropped back at the end of the evening - we couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you so much :)

Me & my wife booked with Chris (Short Legs) for our wedding in the Cotswolds. Chris met with us beforehand so we could chat and feel very comfortable with her looking after Charlie. Chris explained everything and made us feel relaxed with how it would all work on the day. We felt at ease leaving Charlie in her care and we could tell he has going to be well looked after. On the day Chris dealt with Charlie for photos and made sure we didn’t need to worry at the venue, she then took him to our hotel where she stayed with him until we returned at the end of the night. An amazing service! Would 100% recommend!

Booking Chris for our wedding was the best decision we made! We really wanted our poodle Sulley to be a part of our day and he had the best time. Sulley was very well looked after and was completely settled the whole day. The whole experience was amazing and more than what we could’ve asked for, thank you Chris!

We’re so thankful to Chris for looking after Otis on our wedding day. She joined us after the ceremony and took care of him for the rest of the day, making sure he was happy and well looked after. At the end of the night, she returned him safely, and everything went seamlessly.

Easy to book - a few emails and a short phone call meant that Chris had everything she needed ahead of the big day.

No fuss - Chris was on time and quickly took control of looking after Ralph meaning no one else needed to worry about him.

Love of dogs - Chris got on amazingly with Ralph and he was very happy in her company. He snuggled up to her for warmth and seemed calm with her even in the big crowds of people.

Photo opportunities - having Chris there made Ralph bringing the rings down the aisle so easy. She kept him quiet during the ceremony and worked brilliantly with the venue to keep him hidden until the big entrance. Whilst we were having our photos taken she was also always on hand to pass him over when we needed him and keep him busy for the other photos. She also had some great tricks up her sleeve to make sure he was looking in the right direction for the pictures.

After care - I was a little worried about Ralph going to the kennels afterwards but Chris sorted everything. Making sure he was settled before leaving him for the night. We didn’t have any issues and I didn’t need to worry at all.

We would definitely recommend booking Chris if you are considering her for your wedding!

Chris was absolutely lovely! We knew from the day we started planning our wedding that we wanted our dog Reg there and Chris was the perfect solution. She was absolutely brilliant with Reg and took such great care of him. She was patient and kind even though he was a bit out of sorts all day. Worth every single penny in my opinion. We always knew we wanted our two dogs at the wedding, they do everything with our family and so it wouldn't have been right to get married without them. Chris was recommended through our venue and she was perfect from start to finish. Great communication and knowledge right from the start so we felt very comfortable leaving our rather needy dogs with her. Chris worked a long day, 12 hours, dashing back and forth between our hotel and wedding venue just so we could have the dogs at the parts of the wedding we wanted. They were always on time and dressed in their little outfits. The rest of the time they had a wonderful time chilling at the hotel all together. We couldn't be more grateful to Chris - highly recommend!

Chris was our chaperone for our two fur babies on our wedding day! Knowing our dogs were in safe hands ensured we could relax and enjoy our special day, without any stress or worries. We wanted our dogs to play a part in our wedding, as ring bearer, greeting all of our guests, and having them there for photos. Having Chris there ensured all of that could happen. The dogs reacted so well to Chris, instantly warming to her friendly and kind nature. Chris sent us some behind the scenes photos of our dogs sleeping on her lap, which they'd only ever do if they were calm. I can't recommend Chris enough for your big day, she is the best! From the 1st communication Chris was great. Went over and above to make sure everything was stress free. Had a detailed meeting beforehand to make sure she knew every little detail. Extremely good around dogs and can tell she genuinely loves dogs. Would highly recommend!

Chris was recommended to us by our venue, and from our first meeting via a Zoom call we knew we had made the right choice. She helped put all of our worries at ease regarding involving our dog in our special day, was professional, caring, and knowledgeable, looked after him like he was her own, and was instrumental in him being the ringbearer during the ceremony. Trish and Chris took on our last minute request to help us with our puppy at our wedding. Trish called before and was so knowledgeable on how it could work on the day + outfits and ring boxes.

Trish then did everything we asked with no questions/ fuss - which was so so appreciated with everything that was going on. He was so happy on the day, getting lots of walks when we may not have had a time and lots of fuss. She even got him to sit for the photos, even though bells were going and lots of talking- which meant he couldn't hear us talking to him...

Thoroughly recommend this, we debated whether to have a chaperone but it truly transformed the day to see him as I turned up at the church really out me at ease, I love the photos with him in, and didn't worry about him once!
