Nestled on a peaceful hill outside Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, Stone Barn is a magnificent country wedding venue with sweeping views over the glorious Cotswold countryside. Located between Burford and Northleach on the Oxfordshire border, this elevated barn setting is ideal for a blissful destination wedding in England's most renowned pastoral region. Under the care of the family-run Cripps & Co company, you and your loved ones can enjoy a lavish occasion immersed in quiet, untouched beauty.
Facilities and Capacity
Transformed into an elegant wedding venue, Stone Barn still retains its distinctive historical aesthetic that effortlessly blends into the surrounding landscape. Its generous interior is enhanced by flagstone floors, a huge open fireplace, and wooden beams. An undoubtedly idyllic setting, the barn can hold up to 200 guests for a ceremony and 250 guests for your evening reception, complete with a dance floor. Alternatively, the pristine grounds offer an enchanting wooden shelter for an outdoor summer ceremony, where you can 'I do' against a backdrop of rolling hills. The adjoining Dutch barns feature elegantly arched ceilings, beautiful corrugated iron roofs, and the most breathtaking views for wedding photography. Within this split-level space, guests can mingle with post-ceremony drinks at the gallery bar before tucking into the wedding feast below. Comfortably holding up to 194 seated guests, the Dutch barn also features a large, open terrace with roaring fire pits to keep loved ones warm.

You will NOT regret booking this venue
Stonebarn is such a beautiful venue. In our research in finding the perfect set up for our wedding we visited two of the Cripps & Co sites and actually attended a wedding at Old Gore. After seeing Stonebarn we knew it was the one!
From the first meeting to our actual wedding day couldn’t have gone any better. All the staff especially Georgie, Stephanie, Alex & Kirsty on the day couldn’t do more than enough for us throughout the whole process.
The food is fantastic with good options for everyone. We used a couple of recommended suppliers too who were great and it was such a stress free experience.
I will be talking about this venue for years to come and hope we get the opportunity to experience a wedding their ourselves from the other side.
Don’t skip viewing this one because it really is a hidden gem!

Perfect Wedding Day
Stone Barn was the first wedding venue we visited and we compared every single venue to it. We fell in love with the romantic lighting, the views, the food and we knew that it was the place that felt most like us.
The entire planning process was smooth from start to finish, quick responses, easy communication and felt stress free. We would definitely recommend going to the feast evening to re-visit the venue and get to see it in the evening light but also a chance to taste all of the amazing food and wine.
Sophia was amazing from our pre-planning call to supporting us throughout the entire day with kindness and incredibly calm! We had a bit of trouble with our cake getting squished on the journey and the incredible chefs fixed it for us without us even asking. They really did go above and beyond to make our day special!

Our Wedding- 04/06/26
I’m not sure where to begin with writing this review other than our wedding day was the most perfect day we ever could have imagined.
We first viewed Stone Barn back in Nov 2024 when we were staying nearby for the weekend. We had never visited the Cotswolds before so wasn’t sure what to expect and was very nervous as this was our first viewing. As soon as we walked through the doors we instantly fell in love and all of our worries went away. Stone barn is effortlessly beautiful with its fairy lights, the smell of the amazing food cooking and the warmth of the fireplace. At no point during our viewing did we feel rushed or pushed into anything and considering there was a wedding happening the day of the viewing all the staff seemed genuinely happy and calm. After that weekend we knew that Stone Barn was our venue.
We also attended the ‘feast night’ which was lovely to see at night and in full swing. We spent the evening tasting all the different variations of food and chatting to other couples getting married there. What was really lovely is Stephanie took the time to come and find us and introduce herself ahead of the meeting we had booked with her the next day.
Fast forward to our wedding, it was honestly the perfect day. Everything ran smoothly for us, the weather was a bit iffy but unfortunately we cannot control that. However Alex was amazing, she was very chilled, friendly and you can tell she cares about her role at Stone Barn. Her and the team made sure our day run to time and we cannot thank her enough!
The whole process from start to finish has been completely stress free for us thanks to the staff at Stone Barn. We felt very out of our depth when it came to booking our wedding as it was all new to us but all the staff are so friendly and are very responsive with any query you may have.
So to wrap up this very long review Thankyou so much to you all at Stone Barn for making our day special! All of our friends and family cannot stop commenting on how perfect the day was which is music to our ears.
The venue is simply stunning and speaks for itself!
We will definately be back for another feast night to celebrate our special memories at Stone Barn.

A Magical Venue for a Magical Day
From the moment we turned into the driveway for our first show round we absolutely fell in love with this venue. And each time we visited we fell in love even more. They had some alterations for the patio at the beginning of this year which we didn't get to see until our big day, but WOW they somehow made such a fantastic venue even better! We wish we could do it all again and wouldn't change a thing, Georgie and Stephanie our Day and Evening coordinators were just amazing. We were so happy to get Georgie for our special day as she had always been our point of contact from the very first show round too.
Every single one of our guests haven't stopped talking about what a beautiful venue and beautiful day it was. Some even asked us if we could do it all over again next year for our first anniversary 🤣.... We are seriously contemplating it 🥰🥰
Thank you again every singe one of the team was amazing and nothing was too much trouble.

Incredible Wedding Venue ❤️
We are incredibly happy we chose Stone Barn for our wedding this April and could not recommend them more highly.
Throughout the build-up, they were exceptionally helpful, embracing our ideas and answering every question quickly, which made the whole process feel very relaxed. Cordero, the online planning portal provided, is easy to use; it kept us perfectly on track and made communication with the team effortless.
On the day, Alex and the team were amazing. Everything ran seamlessly and was more perfect than we could have imagined! The team works tirelessly in the background, keeping everything moving so smoothly that you hardly notice they are there.
We received so many compliments on how beautiful the barn looked, and the atmosphere in the evening with the fire pits lit was magical.
The food was a huge highlight. We opted for the Feast Menu, and our guests are still talking about how incredible it was. Many said they have never been fed so much at a wedding! My advice to future guests: wear stretchy waistbands.
The team truly went above and beyond. I even managed to leave my bouquet at our accommodation, but Alex sorted it instantly and had it collected for me without a fuss.
Stone Barn truly knows how to host an incredible wedding. We are so grateful to the whole team for creating such a beautiful day for us!

Amazing venue with the best team ❤️
Stone Barn is the most amazing place to get married, we would do it all over again if we could! The team are amazing and all our guests noticed that and have commented on it. The food was a huge selling point for us and it did not disappoint - best food by far! If you are considering this venue then please book you will love every second ❤️

Christmas Wedding
Stone Barn was the best venue we could have chosen for our wedding. From the first viewing to the big day, we couldn’t have had a more smoother process. Sophia and Sharon who were there on the day could not have done more for us and the staff were incredible and so friendly. The venue was just breathtaking. All our guests told us how it was one of the best wedding venues they have ever been to. It was dressed up perfectly and the rustic setting was ideal for the time of year. The lights and candles around the venue made it look like a fairytale and the food was truly exceptional We couldn’t recommend Stone Barn enough.

Christmas wedding dream
If your thinking of booking Stone barn .. look no further.
From the very start of the booking process to getting in the taxi at the end of the night the staff at stone barn were incredible.
I will never be able to put into words how grateful I am to every single person for helping create my absolute dream wedding.
The food, atmosphere, venue and staff are unmatched. We have had so much amazing feedback from our guests saying it really was the best wedding they have ever been to.
I want to say a special thank you to Stephanie who was there on the day and made the day seamless.. not to mention laying out the coolest desert table I’ve ever seen!!

The BEST day ever!
The whole team made our wedding day so special. The impeccable organisation from start to finish undoubtedly contributed to the fantastic party atmosphere in the evening (which took us by surprise – everyone was having so much fun!). The feast menu was incredible, and every guest has since told us it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding. Overall, we wouldn’t change a thing about the day and wholeheartedly recommend Stone Barn and the Cripps team!

Perfect wedding day
We had our wedding this August (2025) at stone barn and it was absolutely perfect. The venue is stunning and the food was incredible. The staff were extremely supportive throughout the planning process and always quickly responsive. They helped us plan our day to the last detail and made the process as stress free as it could have been. The day it self ran super smoothly thanks to an amazing team on the day, that not only helped with the seamless running of the day but also helped make us feel relaxed, made our guests feel welcome and supported our vendors throughout. Seeing the chefs cook in the open kitchen added something special to our day and as already mentioned, the food was a real hit. Thank you to the whole team for a truly perfect wedding day that we will never forget. I cannot recommend them enough.
