Barn Owl Ring Bearers are a unique wedding service based out of Durham, in northeast England. The first organisation in the world to offer this service is owned by Stuart Laidler, one of the UK's top commercial Falconers with a strong background in wedding planning. Stuart and his dedicated team train barn owls to deliver the wedding rings during the ceremony in an elegant and romantic manner. The silent flight of the highly-trained barn owl makes the delivery of your wedding rings a truly unique and special moment.

Services Offered

Barn Owl Ring Bearer offer a select number of services to couples on their wedding day. The experienced owl will carry both rings to the gloved hand of a nominated person in the wedding party. The team can arrive discretely, keeping the owl as a surprise for the guests until the ceremony. They will stay with the owl for one hour afterwards to entertain friends and family.

A touch of magic that our guests couldn't stop talking about!

We are so glad we choses Eagle Enterprises to take part in our wedding, both the owls delighted our guests and had everyone smiling! We kept it a secret until the moment Sam the Barn Owl flew down the aisle to deliver our rings, and the gasp from our guests was great! The handler Roy was very kind and patient answering everyone's questions and our 90 year old grandparents were thrilled to hold Fuzz the Scops Owl. Roy was also happy for us to have pictures taken with both owls, once he was sure they were settled. It is very clear that the owls are well cared for and are at ease with being handled, which is a relief as an animal lover. The training was very thorough and efficient, so our ring bearer was confident when the moment arrived.

Amazing experience!

Roy attended our wedding with Bilbo the owl as our ring bearer. They were both absolutely incredible. Roy put me at ease instantly and made me feel comfortable with handling the owl. The whole process was so much easier than expected, and simple to learn.
Roy had traveled so far just to make our day special and he definitely succeeded.
All of our guests were amazed as we had kept the owl a secret, and he was the highlight of the day, everyone loved holding and petting him afterwards.
We also had Fuzz the little owl in attendance, for holding. Both of the owls are so well trained and easy to handle. The whole experience of having owls at our wedding made it memorable and unique 🦉

A massive talking point!

We had both Bilbo & Fuzz at our wedding.

Bilbo did a fantastic job flying our wedding rings down the isle & stayed for photos afterwards. Fuzz the small owl then made an appearance for photos with our guests while we were off having our photos taken.

They were fantastic to deal with & made it a total surprise to my wife and all our wedding guests.

If you want something unique that people will be talking about long after the wedding then book them!

What a brilliant addition to our day!

My husband and I decided to use an owl ring bearer at our barn wedding, and we couldn’t recommend Stuart and the team enough. They were wonderful at talking the best man through all the steps, and Bilbo the owl was such a brilliant little addition to our day! We decided to keep it secret from our guests, and it was such a lovely moment to see the surprise and laughter on people's faces as he flew down the aisle.

Bilbo was incredibly well behaved, very patient, and did his job exceptionally – he stuck around for a while after and so was the star of many photos! It was definitely a lovely talking point throughout the day.
