  The BEST dog chaperone in the Cotswolds!

  We cannot express how grateful we are to Chris for looking after Poppy on our big day. We couldn't have asked for anyone better. Chris was excellent from start to finish; pre-communication was great, we were fully informed of the process and pricing from the start, and Chris kindly arranged to meet Poppy beforehand to make sure we were comfortable with everything.
  
  On the day itself, Chris generously picked Poppy up from a family home and later took her to the venue, which took the transport hassle away from us (she also dropped Poppy back off after the wedding)! During the ceremony, Chris seamlessly blended in with the guests and made the entire experience totally stress free for us! Everyone loved having Poppy there, which wouldn't have been possible without you Chris, so THANK YOU!
  
  We wholeheartedly recommend Short Legs to anyone looking for a dog chaperone for their wedding. If you want your furry friend to celebrate your big day with you, and if you want to ensure they are in the best possible hands, then Short Legs is the way to go.

  Amazing service, amazing team

  I didn't even realise a dog chaperone was something we needed at our wedding but having the Short Legs team was a godsend. Our pup was looked after by Trish and we couldn't have asked for more. Our dog has 3 legs and Trish was so on the ball with checking her energy levels and making sure she was safe considering it was also a hot day. She was so flexible with her feeding time and made sure she was happy and settled off site before leaving her. We would book with Short Legs again in a heartbeat if ever needed.

  A champion of your companion on your special day

  We’re so grateful to Chris for looking after our and my parents pet on our wedding day. They were lovely to work with, and really made sure Barnaby (our spaniel) was a massive part of our day, as he should be. From Barnaby running down the aisle to posing for photographs, Chris had everything under hand.

  Wedding at the Old Gore

  Chris at Short Legs Day Care was the perfect person to look after our dog for the day whilst we got married. We really wanted our pup to be part of our special day but we also didn’t want to stress him out or do anything he might’ve been uncomfortable with. So we looked to Short Legs Day care to come and pick him up from our wedding accommodation, walk him, play with him, bring him to the venue for some photos, and then let him rest. Chris absolutely nailed it. We were worried as we handed him over in the chaotic blur of our wedding morning that we’d forgotten to pass on some information, but Chris was very relaxed and took care of everything. Murphy went off with her without even a second glance! This reassured us and we didn’t worry about him at all during our day. My Mum said “he can just tell when people are nice” - and I think that’s true. Chris also attended the wedding perfectly, blurring into the background but letting Murphy say hello to all his pals. She was also great with the photos, getting Murphy to look in the cameras direction at the right points. She even sent us some pics she took herself to show that he was having a lovely time without us! In short, I wouldn’t hesitant to recommend Chris to anyone who needs this service! Thank you Chris.

  Highly recommend

  Chris looked after our boy during our wedding day and it was such a relief to know he was in good hands! He gets quite overwhelmed so struggled a bit with the hustle and bustle of the morning & all the new faces but Chris patiently won him over and he was cuddled on the sofa with her before long. Chris was also really good at going with the flow and tuning in to what Dylan needed, which meant we could enjoy the day without worrying about him. Definitely recommend Short Legs!

  We cannot thank Chris from Short Legs Dog Care enough for the exceptional care she provided for our dogs, Pippin and Gruff, on our wedding day. Pippin and Gruff aren't usually fond of new people, but Chris is truly a dog whisperer. They quickly became best friends, which put us at ease knowing our fur babies were in such capable hands.
  
  Chris went above and beyond, helping us include Pippin and Gruff in our ceremony. Despite an unexpected downpour that disrupted our schedule, Chris ensured the dogs were brought down for photos at the reception, capturing beautiful moments we will cherish forever.

  Only the very best for our furry VIP guest

  Chris is wonderful, she looked after our boy when my daughter got married and I really cannot recommend her enough. From the moment Chris met Ted we knew he was in good hands. Having him bought to the wedding for a few photos and not having to worry was an absolute blessing. When we got home he was snoring his little head off, a sure sign he’d had a stress free day with Chris.

  Incredible service and care for our dog

  We used Short Legs Dog Care to look after our dog at our wedding in April 2024. Chris was so responsive throughout the booking process, and once the booking was complete she introduced us to our chaperone, Trish. Trish was incredibly understanding of our dog’s needs and even arranged to meet us in person prior to the wedding so she could get to know our dog. She was very attentive and looked after him so well on the day, we felt so at ease and didn’t worry about him at all. I would highly recommend Short Legs to anyone who is looking to have their furry friend at their wedding, it was worth every penny.

  Chris at Short Logs Dog Care made it so easy for us to have our dog Bonnie with us on our wedding day. She was very communicative from the minute we booked her and it made us feel so comfortable that we were leaving Bonnie in good hands. On the day, Chris was so good with Bonnie and Bonnie absolutely loved her!! We were able to have Bonnie in so many wonderful wedding photos and it's all because of Chris. We can't thank her enough and would recommend her to anyone who wants their furry friend with them on their big day!
