We are so glad we chose Julia to conduct our humanist ceremony! We felt in such safe hands throughout the whole process, which was so reassuring during the stress of wedding planning. Julia was such a calming presence in the run up to and on the day, and was very patient with us too when the final few weeks came around! Julia created the most perfect ceremony that was so meaningful to us. The telling of our love story was a wonderful way to bring all our guests into the moment with us. We felt in such safe hands with Julia, and it felt very normal that she was the one describing some of the most important moments of our lives together. We're so glad that Julia was part of our day, and would recommend her to anyone looking for a humanist celebrant.

Choosing Jacqui Harding (Ceremony by Design) to perform our wedding ceremony was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. Even though our initial meeting was over Zoom, we immediately felt that we had found a celebrant whose ability to ‘tune in to’ us as a couple would ensure the perfect ceremony and celebration on our wedding day. That first, online meeting took place just over a year before our big day and as the months passed, we had several face-to-face meetings with Jacqui, usually over coffee, and with an energetic exchange of ideas. Jacqui offered us and guided us through the many opportunities and choices available to make our wedding special and unique. She did this with enormous care and sensitivity and there was always a reassuring feeling of support from a celebrant who was confident in her own delivery but who also listened to our ideas and suggestions. The time from initial meeting to wedding day was like a journey through which we had Jacqui’s constant support. Occasions of uncertainty or anxiety ultimately faded away, dissolved by the supreme confidence we had in Jacqui that, whatever happened, all would be well. Our wedding was a small, intimate affair with just 25 guests. With such a manageable number, Jacqui had ideas that enabled us to make our guests an integral part of the ceremony; these included Ring Warming, Ribbon Hand-tying and, to conclude, a joyous Jumping of the Broom! Our wedding day was the most special day of our lives and we owe a great deal to the enormous skill, care, intuition and professionalism of Jacqui Harding of Ceremony by Design. We can’t recommend her highly enough.

We chose Julia as our celebrant for our wedding at Berkeley Castle, and we’re so glad we did. From the very beginning, she led us through a thoughtful and well-structured preparation process that meant the ceremony ended up feeling genuinely authentic, personal to us, and exactly in line with what we had hoped for. She shared helpful ideas and templates – for example around readings, possible elements to include, and practical tips for the day – without ever making things feel formulaic. We really appreciated that she took the time to meet us in person during the preparation phase. She struck a great balance between offering clear guidance and giving us the freedom to shape a ceremony that felt uniquely ours. Throughout the whole journey she was extremely responsive and available whenever we needed consultation or feedback, which kept us feeling very well supported. The ceremony she ultimately crafted and delivered on the day was wonderful and really resonated with our guests – we received fantastic comments afterwards about how special and “us” it felt. We would warmly recommend Julia to any couple looking for a celebrant who is professional, caring and truly committed to creating a personal, memorable ceremony.

We chose Emma to be our celebrant for our wedding in July 2025 and couldn’t be more pleased. She brought warmth and enthusiasm to the day and made our ceremony so personal and considered. Her communication in the lead up to the day was impeccable and she couldn’t have been more helpful with suggestions and offering to run errands for us! Emma was the perfect celebrant for our big day!

We would like you to know that the guidance you gave us for our wedding ceremony was outstanding. Thank for being professional, kind and warm. I cannot tell you how much we recommend Jeremy and Vanessa. Not just my husband and I, but everyone that attended the wedding- even guests commented how great they are. We traveled from Texas to get married in Cheltenham. Vanessa helped me organize, manage and make sure everything was going smoothly with our venue from 4700 miles away. This was not part of their service, she did not have to help me with this, she wanted to. My mom unfortunately is sick and was not able to come from Texas to England for the wedding, Vanessa suggested we call her on WhatsApp and she was apart of the whole celebration, it was such a special moment. Jeremy with our ceremony - he wrote such a great script, it was humorous, heartfelt and sincere - delivered perfectly. You can tell how much they both care about people, they care about making your day unique, special and stress free, they were meant for this. I feel like I made some lifelong friends and look forward to seeing them next time we are in Cheltenham. If you are looking for a celebrant or trying to decide who to go with, don’t think twice about them. You won’t regret it. Thank you so much for one of the best nights of our lives. Jilly was the best thing that could happen to our wedding day. From the first meeting we knew she was perfect for us. She had the same sense of humour and creative spark and curiosity that put us at ease straight away. She got to know us over a few meetings and calls and through a questionnaire, finding out about what we loved about each other and about life. She created the perfect script for our ceremony, that encapsulated everything about each of us and our interests and our relationship. She spent so much time researching our favourite things and inspirations for our wedding day. Including our love of anime, our cats and the viking and celtic rituals we wanted to include in our ceremony. We had zoom meeting to check in and when we expressed a vow writing block she wrote and sent over 8 personalised vow scripts for us to choose from! On the day she put us at ease and made the ceremony effortless and so much fun, our guests loved her and everything that she had given us in the ceremony. She became a great friend and almost now a member of the family, we love everything about Jilly and would recommend her to everyone looking for tthe most special of special days!
