Venues, vendors, budgets… the list is endless. There is a lot that goes into planning a wedding, and the bigger the wedding, the more there is. While some couples love the planning process and the excitement it can bring, others don’t quite feel the same. For the latter, hiring a wedding planner can be just as important as anything else on their list. Cambridge is full of these experts who know the industry like the back of their hand. With ample experience under their belts, they could be the perfect buffer between you and your dream day, helping you get there with ease for a less-stress planning process.

Worth It

You may look at the added cost of hiring a wedding planner and wonder if the price tag is worth it. While at the end of the day you’re the only one who can decide the value to you, there are a few things to consider at the same time. As mentioned above, planners know the industry and therefore have plenty of connections throughout. It isn’t uncommon for a couple to get good deals on some services when they are arranged through a repeat customer/ wedding planner. There’s also the value of your time- the average wedding supposedly takes between 200 and 300 hours to plan, so it could be worth allocating even some of these hours to a trained professional.

We held our wedding reception at University Arms Hotel where Elle was the designated wedding co-ordinator for the venue. Elle was one of the reasons we selected the University Arms (after visiting many venues), from the very beginning we knew that she was very capable and we felt completely confident in her for coordinating our special day. The planning process was super smooth, she was always patient in answering our (many!) questions, met with us several times and no request was too much. Elle and her team worked tirelessly to make everything run smoothly, she took care of mishaps on the day (for which we were told afterwards there were a few!) seamlessly which really allowed us to be stress-free and really enjoy the day. We were amazed with the beautiful decorations that were tailored perfectly to our taste, Elle really has great attention to detail and is super organised, remembering all our requests however big or small, on top of juggling with her many events. Thank you so much for everything Elle, we feel truly lucky to have found you and have you plan our wedding!
