I definitely recommend Vivienne May Weddings to any couples planning their big day.
A necessity to plan one of the biggest days of your lives
Myself and my wife are busy professionals; particularly in my case, the last thing I wanted to do after a long work week was figure out the minutiae of wedding planning. From the start, Kerrie removed much of the planning burden and injected fun back into the process. She took my wife's vision and responded with appropriate ideas and suppliers, all within the budget we laid out at the beginning. She was easily approachable, and she often made us feel like our wedding was her top priority (which I am sure is how all her clients feel). She clearly takes pride in her work, and it was truly a pleasure having her plan our wedding.
Of course there is some cost up-front but, if you have any apprehension, let me reassure you that you will buy back countless hours by employing a professional who is infinitely more efficient at organising weddings than a newly engaged couple, all whilst bringing the fun back into the process.
A note from my wife: Kerrie thank you so so much for being a vital part of our day. You took my vision and laid it out on so many mood boards and made everything so much fun. I've told all my soon to be married friends about your services and how much attention to detail you go into. The wedding day was seamless and everything went according to plan thanks to you. Your services were greatly appreciated and I'm almost sad that we don't get to talk about planning anymore!
Kerrie is a one-off, outstanding professional wedding planner!
After our original wedding plans changed due to the pandemic, we decided to downscale our wedding and restart our plans. However, we were also swamped over the following year and felt overwhelmed juggling our life and trying to incorporate new wedding ideas. At the time, I had caught the end of a show called the wedding planner and thought to myself, how great that must be. However, I disregarded the idea as I did not think we could afford one- thankfully, I was plenty surprised.
The following month, life got more chaotic. I decided to message a few wedding planners and see if this was even an option. Kerrie replied first, and I knew from the first time we spoke that having Kerrie by our side would ease a lot of stress. I approached the idea with my Fiancée, who was against the idea; she was worried we would lose the individualism of our wedding plans. However, after our first zoom meeting together, we felt in control again. Kerrie gave us some great tips and advice, but most importantly, she stopped us from feeling overwhelmed whilst ensuring we were still in control. At the end of our first chat, my Fiancée turned to me and said, “Thankyou for finding Kerrie, I can now picture our wedding again”.
Over the next few months, Kerrie came to meet us and our venues. She got in contact with all our suppliers and chanced up loose ends. We had several online meetings leading up to our wedding, and life with Kerrie in it was motivational.
Kerrie made the most fantastic time schedule of the day, which was regularly updated; this helped us view our day's layout. All of our suppliers mentioned how thorough the schedule was, which meant they could also see the run-through of the day; they all agreed they wished all couples came with this type of schedule.
On the day of our wedding, Kerrie was a great support, and she would drop in throughout the morning to check if we were okay and if we needed anything. Whilst behind the scenes she welcomed suppliers, insuring everyone knew their plans and checking on the little details which we felt were significant at the time. Kerrie also helped with overseeing the music throughout the ceremony, she also stepped in to cut our cheese tower (after our first cut) when a family member decided they no longer wanted to do it. Along with sending away our wedding bouquet, knowing we would be rushed off our feet the following day with cleaning up and going on our honeymoon.
