About
DAY42 - A better way to plan your wedding.
DAY42 is a wedding planning practice in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, founded by Aliya, an architect who planned her own wedding like an architecture project.
Rather than starting with a list of things a wedding is 'supposed' to have, DAY42 starts with the couple: who they are, what matters to them, who they want around them, what they can afford, and how they actually want their wedding day to feel.
The result is a more considered way to plan, bringing an architect's approach to briefs, budgets, research, space, decisions, design, and making things happen.

DAY42 isn't about creating a particular 'DAY42 look, no Day42 wedding should look like another unless the couples themselves are the same.
The couple leads the design, and the day works how they want it to work.
Their personality, priorities, ideas, and people are what make the wedding. DAY42 brings the structure, research, and expertise to help turn those ideas into something coherent, achievable, and genuinely personal.
That might mean a beautifully considered traditional wedding. It might mean something informal, unconventional, DIY, or completely different from what guests expect.
There is no right way to get married.
