We had our wedding ceremony in the Arbour and Breakfast/Evening do in the Pavilliion room. We had about 75 guests. All parts of the venue were stuning, the staff were excellent and accomodating to everything requested. The hire was very reasonable and the drinks prices weren't bad. We chose a set menu but the food was excellent and we had many compliments on the quality of the food. Overall we had a fantastic day in a fantastic venue that many of our guests were incredibly complimentary about. I can't recommend Alnwick Gardens enough.

Myself and my husband had our daytime wedding ceremony and reception at Spanish City on 27.07.2024. It was the perfect day and the staff cannot be thanked enough. Nothing was too much trouble, a big shout to Mo for being a genuinely lovely man and a brilliant host of ceremonies. So many good tips and helped the whole day run smoothly. An excellent venue - we would highly recommend- food and drink service was great. Thank you all.

We loved being able to have our autumn wedding at the Treehouse! In the lead up the staff were communicative and helpful and the venue looked beautiful on the day itself thanks to the gorgeous fairy lights and staffs attention to detail with our decor. Staff kept us calm on the day and made sure that we knew where we needed to be, got moments alone as we needed and that all of our guests had a fantastic time. We had the best day at the Treehouse and wish we could do it all over again!

Joe and I had a fabulous time returning to Durham for our wedding in March. We were both alumni of the university, so Chad’s offered the perfect setting for a throwback to our student days. The college grounds are stunning and surprisingly spacious, tucked away on the Bailey. The college staff do an excellent job of turning the site from an undergraduate place of work and study to an elegant wedding venue. As the first wedding of 2026, we were sceptical of getting outside for the drinks reception but the college gardens were very sheltered and we were able to have almost all of it outside. The staff were excellent, responsive and helped the event run seamlessly. We have had so many compliments from guests on the venue, atmosphere and the quality of food. Chad’s were very flexible and accommodating with any ideas we had. This was particularly helpful with the menu choices for dinner. As well as having their own extensive list of suggestions, they also worked with us to develop custom options (beef wellington/affogato). We were able to pay corkage to cater our own reception drinks which was a bonus and managed to squeeze the venue capacity to 130 by seating on both sides of high table. The new renovations are tasteful and in keeping with the traditional atmosphere of the building. We were slightly worried about them being finished on time, but Darryl and the contractors really pulled through (I gather it was a stressful night before!!). Thanks to Darryl, Lesley and all the rest at Chad’s.

Apse & Spire is a stunning venue, Alison was so helpful in every way possible to ensure our day was perfect, Graeme and the bar staff made sure our guests were catered for every step of the way, Our wedding breakfast was delicious..Just a beautiful day with family and friends, I would recommend this venue 100%
