My husband and I recently had our wedding at The Lion and the one word i would use to sum this venue up is WOW!

Ashton our coordinator was amazing through the whole planning process, was at the end of phone/email and during our planning meetings no detail was too little or much for her to arrange for us and she and her team brought our wedding day vision to life.

The whole day was stress free and just a pure celebration that we wanted. Ashton was on hand for both myself and my husband, but also our wedding party and close family to ensure our VIP's where also taken care of.

The Lion has a reputation for its food in the restaurant and this is the same for all there events, all our guest have given us nothing but compliment's on all the food from the canapes, wedding breakfast to our evening food. The location is great as well, and the venue lay out, and bar area is very large allowing plenty of room for drinks reception if not in there beautiful garden area. The on site hotel makes it perfect for your guests to spend the day and celebrate the following morning as your first full day as a married couple.

I would 100% recommend this venue for anyone wishing to have celebrate there wedding or special occasion

Well what can I say about the Lion House. It's a fantastic venue to have a wedding in. From start to finish, they were excellent. Our wedding planner, Ashton was amazing. From the planning to the big day, we felt she was with us on our journey, every little detail was catered for. The food was out of this world, highly recommend the off the grill option. The whole team were easy to work with, Ashton and her team worked so hard to give us the day of our dreams everything from start to finish everything was meticulously planned and it went without one single hitch, leaving us with the most beautiful day.

We recently had our wedding at the Lion Inn at the start of January, and it was the most perfect day. We absolutely loved the venue from our first viewing; it had everything we wanted, and the space worked perfectly for our number of guests. The venue was especially beautiful for a winter wedding and felt warm, cosy, and atmospheric.

The entire team were incredibly helpful and ensured the day ran smoothly from start to finish. Ashton was our amazing wedding planner, and from our first meeting she put us completely at ease that the day would be a success. Any questions we had were always answered promptly, and we never had any concerns. On the day itself, we felt very looked after, with staff regularly checking in on us. Many of our guests have since commented on how helpful the staff were, as well as how amazing the food was.

It was also lovely to be able to stay in the hotel rooms, which are all beautifully finished, and breakfast the next morning was fantastic, the perfect way to end the celebrations.

We could not have asked for a better day and are so glad that we chose the Lion Inn for our wedding. We would highly recommend this venue to anyone currently planning their wedding.

We held our wedding at The Lion Inn, Boreham in 2021, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. From start to finish, the team were exceptional, and the day itself ran perfectly.

A special mention has to go to Georgina, who was absolutely fantastic throughout the entire process. She was incredibly patient and understanding, especially as we had to postpone twice due to the pandemic. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and her calm, friendly approach made the whole journey so much easier.

The Lion Inn went above and beyond to cater for our guests’ dietary requirements, and there were quite a few unusual allergies to navigate! The kitchen handled everything flawlessly, and we felt completely reassured knowing our guests were well looked after.

On the day, everything ran smoothly and right on time. The bar and waiting staff were polite, attentive, and extremely hardworking, contributing to the relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.

We originally chose The Lion Inn for its beautiful Art Deco style décor and the convenience of the onsite accommodation, and it certainly did not disappoint. The venue looked stunning, and our stay was comfortable and memorable.

This venue was 10/10 from the minute we saw it. Georgina was nothing but accommodating, friendly and efficient, replying to emails within a couple of days, setting up the venue as requested and organising a team to ensure flawless service throughout the day. It was spectacular and the experience I could not fault! The space is perfect for 100 people, the food was exceptional and the hotel beautiful, highly recommend as a venue!

Gorgeous wedding venue, fantastic food, amazing rooms but the best part was how the coordinators and all the staff will go above and beyond to give you the best, most personalised experience. I cannot put in to words how amazing our wedding at the lion house was. The staff from start to finish were exceptional and made it so we didn’t have to worry about a thing the entire day. We really felt that our vision for the day was everything and more and that is thanks to the amazing people at the Lion house. We had a small wedding but still felt just as valued. When looking for a venue I was struggling to find somewhere that met all of our criteria that wasn’t unreasonably expensive! We visited other venues and felt so let down by our experiences.

I accidentally stumbled across this venue and from the second we got in contact, the professionalism and support offered was incredible. The separate Lion House Venue where our wedding was performed was just stunning and the private outdoor area for guests and art deco bar were just the most beautiful touches.

This venue and the amazing staff who work there were flexible, accommodating and really did everything they could to make our day so perfect. We loved EVERY SECOND!!!!

We had the best day ever at The Lion. From the moment we stepped foot in the venue Megan was so warm and friendly and seemed like she genuinely cared and wanted the best for us. The prices are reasonable compared to lots of other venues around and they were very willing to cater to our requirements (we wanted a vegetarian wedding and had lots of vegan guests attending too) - everyone commented how amazing the food was. Kaleigh was our wedding coordinator and she was so professional and organised, she made sure everything ran smoothly and we are so grateful to her. The accommodation is just gorgeous and we were treated like royalty by all the staff which just made the whole weekend feel so special. Special shout out to Jo who was so friendly and attentive, she took care of our grandmothers making sure they were comfortable and had a chair at all times, she checked in our vegan guests, she seemed to know what I wanted before I even asked and made us all feel so special. I wish we could do the whole day again! Everything about this venue is incredible - and especially the staff and the food are absolutely exceptional.

From the very beginning of the process we knew that The Lion was the venue for us, it is such a unique and stunning venue. From our first viewing to the day after our wedding the attention to detail was second to none. Corresponding with the team in the lead up to our wedding day was absolute perfection, never felt like a burden asking questions, there was a genuine care from the team to make our day perfect. We had the lovely Georgina as our Wedding Coordinator and we knew we were in safe hands from our first planning meeting, we felt so comfortable and confident that our day was going to go off without any issues in her hands which allowed us to enjoy the experience in the lead up to the wedding so much more! Nothing was too much, not once were we forced into any upgrades or purchases that weren't part of our plan. There is no set 'package' you build your day as you see it with their help and guidance. Our day was nothing short of perfect and we have the venue and staff to Thank. Every guest commented on how beautiful the venue was, how genuinely friendly and caring the staff were. My brother being a very important guest at our wedding is in a wheelchair and the staff went over and above to ensure both he and my family looking after him throughout the day were well catered for and seen to. The food was served piping hot to every single table and was fresh and delicious. We have had so many comments from our guests about the incredible food. The value for money truly is incredible here.
