It was brilliant, members of staff make sure that on the day you have absolutely nothing to worry about but having fun and celebrating.

The gorgeous, stately yet cosy Pynes House formed the backdrop for our dream wedding in May 2025. It really was the perfect venue – set behind the rolling hills just outside of Exeter, the house exuded class and character and has been impeccably maintained. Just a 5-minute drive from Exeter St David’s station, its location couldn’t have been more convenient, although it always felt incredibly private thanks to a long driveway leading up to the house, lined by stately fir trees. Whilst spacious and versatile, it also retained warmth and cosiness due to its elegant proportions. The grounds were also spectacular; with the rose garden and wisteria really coming to life on a sunny spring day during our drinks reception. For our Saturday wedding, we loved being able to check in on Friday afternoon, checking out at midday on Sunday. Spending the whole weekend in the house with our closest family and friends made the whole occasion feel like an extended big house party. The Pynes House team were responsive, warm and approachable, providing clear instructions throughout and leading up to our big day – a quality we really appreciated given the uncertainties of wedding planning. A huge shoutout to Jay and the drinks team who went out of their way to make us a delicious lychee martini the moment we returned from church as newlyweds. It was the best day of our lives and we are so happy to have celebrated at Pynes House. If you’re looking for the perfect country house in the South West, then look no further!

Absolutely beautiful venue surrounding by stunning Devon scenery. Our guests absolutely loved our venue and so did we. From the exposed beams, to the working farm, to the character and charm of the barn. This venue allows you to make your wedding unique by the chance to choose your own suppliers. It was everything we could wish for and Minnie was so helpful throughout the whole process. The weather was on our side so we had the ceremony and the evening food on the terrace, it was perfect! We absolutely love Windout and would highly recommend

The venue is stunning, the whole Brickhouse team went above and beyond to make sure our wedding went perfectly. The packages offered are great and all of the suppliers they recommended were high quality. Couldn’t recommend it more.

Hayne Devon was the only venue we visited, and we instantly knew it was the one. Weddings need not be stressful, and Tim and his team truly brought that vision to life. The staff were so lovely, and everything was handled smoothly and discreetly. The venue is absolutely stunning. We were lucky to have good weather on our side, which meant our guests had full access to the beautiful grounds. One of my friends described it as something out of a fairytale and that’s a fitting description. The accommodations are tastefully decorated and so cozy! There are options including shepherd’s huts, bell tents, camping, and a threshing barn. Not to mention Tim’s incredible band! they really elevated the experience. They even played a song from one of our favourite bands, which got everyone dancing. It was one of the highlights of the night! We cannot recommend it enough. Thank you, Tim and the team, for an unforgettable wedding party! 💖

We got married at The Oak Barn in June 2025 and it was everything we had dreamed of - and more! From start to finish, Katharine and John were absolutely fantastic. Their support and guidance throughout the entire planning process helped make our day truly perfect. Nothing was ever too much trouble - they went above and beyond to accommodate all our wishes and their attention to detail really shone through. The venue itself is stunning and the gardens in early summer were in full bloom - an absolute dream for our photos! It’s clear how much love and care they put into maintaining the space. We genuinely couldn’t have picked a better venue. Our wedding weekend was unforgettable, not just for us, but for all our family and friends too.

The team at Rougemont couldn't of done enough to make our wedding reception with them very special. The food was delicious, and the team catered for us and our guests superbly. The venue is also very reasonably priced with excellent packages which really do take the stress away from wedding planning. We had our reception in the Cavendish suite and it looked so beautiful. The rooms were lovely and the breakfast was great in the morning.

From the moment we contacted the hotel we were invited to have a show around and to to look at the facilities and from the moment that we met the wedding organiser Katie Binns i know we wanted to book. we made the best choice in booking at the Devon Hotel the food was fantasic and the service was excellent.
