Facilities and Capacity

Once an Eye Infirmary, Hotel Du Vin Exeter is an intriguing blend of historic charm and striking architecture. Not only a majestic backdrop, this splendid property features an array of plush comforts and refined function rooms. The Chapter 1 room is great for intimate wedding receptions of up to 24 people where you can celebrate your special day with your nearerst and dearest. The Magdalen Lounge is the largest private event suite, it's vibrant interiors overlooking the walled gardens surrounding the hotel. This light-filled space is ideal for Wedding Breakfasts of up to 60 people. It is dorned in murals designed by fine artist Hugo Dalton, the lounge opens out onto a terrace over looking the gardens, making for a tasteful break out area and great for drinks receptions. Elsewhere, the Library is a decidedly inspiring space where 10 of your loved ones can celebrate your big moment surrounded by fine books and upscale interiors. This room can also be used to hold intimate ceremonies of up to 24 guests making it the ideal ceremony space for your intimate wedding celebrations. At the end of the day, a dazzling array of carefully styled bedrooms await, offering Egyptian cotton sheets, power showers, and roll-top baths.     Amazing wedding weekend

    Got married on Sunday 4 th August,had approached Hotel du Vin and looked at the different packages,sat down with Stacey the events manager ,had several meetings with her . We were staying all weekend with a lot of family and had private dining for seventeen on the night before. There was nothing we wanted for all weekend,the hotel staff were amazing especially Stacey,events manager,Carl,hotel manager and Laura on reception. The service was amazing and the food was fantastic,everyone was so attentive, was very impressed and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone absolutely first class . Our day was amazing and we loved every minute of it and so glad we went with the Hotel du vin ,they all made it so easy for us and all our guests. Thankyou Lisa And Steve

    Perfect Wedding Day

    We had a perfect day. Planning our wedding was a daunting task but from the first time we met Stacey we had confidence that our wedding was in good hands. She asked the questions we didn't know we should be asking and was happy to go the extra mile to create a day personal to us.

    On the day itself Carl organised everything in a decreet, dynamic and unobtrusive way. The food and service was excellent and several of our guests commented on the excellent venue and staff.
    The icing on the cake was Rose presenting us with Bucks Fizz at breakfast the next day.

    It really did feel like the whole team was there for our day. We thoroughly recommend Hotel du Vin as a wedding venue.
