Wedding Venues in Dorking

The staff were professional and the organiser was in constant contact with us from the beginning of meeting up til the end. Their service team made the day go so smoothly and we weren't worried about anything. The tithe barn is a special place for any wedding and we had our reception & wedding breakfast there. We were allowed to setup decorations the day before and they were flexible when we could arrive, even up to the point of midnight! The projection screen is not hung up but on a stand which meant it's not very visible to everyone, especially at the back, and sound system is not elaborate, with a small cupboard at the back that can plug in a usb or audio cable into your phone or computer. We had our own DJ that brought his own sound system and lights. It's a cosy and intimate place and we managed around 130 guests quite comfortably. The guests enjoyed their stay in the hotel and had a chance to go swimming too. I highly recommend this place if you like a barn theme. There are some photo opportunities in the garden and around the place. The guest parking is on the opposite side so they would need to carefully cross where cars can come around the bend quickly. The wedding package was slightly cheaper than the standard but it's similar to other places.

From the moment we first stepped onto the grounds of Wotton House, we knew it was special. Though we explored other options, our hearts kept leading us back to those breathtaking gardens and the magical Old Library. Vickey was our co-ordinator from day one and she really is such a wonderful person and a star throughout our wedding journey. She made such a huge difference to the experience; she explained everything and anything, answered millions of questions, and was always quick to respond. Wedding planning is hard work and she made everything so much easier, even giving us plenty of advice and suggestions when we struggled with ideas. The planning process unfortunately did have a few hiccups, such as some unexpected costs which wasn't fully clear initially (our fault for assuming of course!), so we recommend double checking every detail at the start. Closer to the date, we were informed of another issue, but the team really went out of their way to listen and discuss everything with us. This was incredibly important, as it showed they genuinely cared about our feelings and were committed to making things right. The day itself was the most organised I have ever experienced. All the staff on the day of the event did an incredible job and I will have them to thank forever. Vickey and Caroline checked in with me early on and managed my guests and suppliers so well, handling every question from everyone. Caroline was honestly wonderful. I brought in additional snacks for guests, and she had really helpful suggestions, going above and beyond to display everything beautifully and even offering to use their own food boards to help us. Bill, our toastmaster, was truly spectacular. He is an absolute professional and brilliant at handling large crowds. Having him as part of the package is a massive perk and he was simply a dream. You really do not need to hire your own co-ordinator because Wotton House has it all. Some more things to call out... one of the greatest things about Wotton House is that it is huge and has plenty of rooms for guests. On a rainy day, you will never have problems with lack of space, which we identified as an issue in other venues. We hired a small creche and used one of their spaces, which turned out perfect. The groom and groomsmen also prepped themselves and chilled in various relaxing areas. It is also super dog and child friendly. Dogs can join in the restaurant and the bedrooms, though unfortunately not in the wedding breakfast room. And also, the food is SO good (a big plus!!). Our guests could not stop complimenting how beautiful the venue is, and it really is. The support did not end on the day either. The team helped pack everything away, including our flowers, which were moved into the breakfast room the next day for a beautiful surprise. The breakfast staff were so kind, bringing out our leftover cake and providing boxes for us to take it away in. I absolutely loved the little notes, the chocolates, and the prosecco left in our honeymoon suite. It made everything feel so special. This is something I will take with me for the rest of my life. My wedding was one of my best days ever, and Wotton House played a huge part in this.

We just wanted to say the biggest thank you for everything Ellie did to make our wedding day at Denbies so perfect. From start to finish, she was absolutely amazing - organised, calm, and always one step ahead. The entire day ran so smoothly, and it truly was everything we had dreamed of and more. Every detail, from the beautiful setup to the timing of each moment, felt effortless thanks to her hard work and dedication. We’ve had so many guests tell us how wonderful the day was, and we know it wouldn’t have been the same without Ellie and the Denbie’s Team. The rest of the lovely team who worked on the day - were so polite, attentive and genuinely caring. They looked after our guests so beautifully and made the whole atmosphere feel relaxed and special. We’re so grateful for your care, professionalism, and warmth throughout the whole process. It really was the most magical day, everything we dreamed of and more, and we can’t thank you enough for helping make it happen.

I can’t believe there is ay better wedding venue out there than Ridge Farm. It couldn’t be more perfect. It’s absolutely stunning for a start and has a really cool history being an old recording studio. We loved that our close friends could stay on site meaning the wedding was 3 nights in total and we could enjoy and see everyone. It has everything, a truly unique woodland area where you can get legally married, a lovely lawn for drinks, a huge room for the meal, a separate cottage for the bridal party to get ready in, ample space to sleep. But on top of all of this, it’s family run with some amazing people who work there & create a relaxed atmosphere where everyone can have fun and enjoy, and you can really make it your own for the weekend. You can choose your own caterers too but we couldn’t recommend Chef Ian more who often works at Ridge Farm, him and his team were fabulous. Every guest commented on how wonderful the venue was. And a pool for day 2 was unbelievably good! I only wish we could do it all again, it was amazing and it’s the venue that made it. If you are thinking about booking Ridge Farm I really wouldn’t think twice.

We had a fantastic time at the barn for our daughter’s wedding 😍 the people at the barn were kind and very professional at all times . We hosted our wedding with Brad, Charlotte and the team and it was an amazing day! We exclusive use of the venue and the team were very accommodating from start to finish. The guests loved the relaxed feel, great (really great!) food and general vibe of the day. Lots of flexibility and a day to remember!
