Yeah. I know. Me too, honestly. That stiff, "now turn slightly, chin down, eyes HERE" stuff makes everyone look like they're being processed for a passport. It's not you. It's the pose. And I don't do poses.
I'm Tom an wedding photographer based in Northamptonshire, working with couples across Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, and practically anywhere else awesome that you've somehow decided to get married at.
You know how wedding photographers are supposed to blend into the background? Yeah, that's not quite me either.
I'll be cracking a joke mid-portrait so you're actually laughing instead of doing your "camera face." Chatting with your nan between shots. Making the group photos something your guests survive, maybe even enjoy. The photos look relaxed because the experience is relaxed. Not because I stood six feet away and silently hoped for the best.
If you've always hated having your photo taken then absolutely brilliant. You're genuinely my favourite kind of couple to work with.
I've had grooms tell me within seconds of meeting me that they hate cameras. Brides convinced they're completely unphotogenic. I've never once proved them right.
Why You Probably Shouldn't Book Me:
✔️ I won't make it weird — No shouting directions across the room. No "give me fierce." No posing you like a shop mannequin. I get stuck in, read the room, keep things moving, and before anyone's really noticed — the portraits are done and you're back enjoying your day.
✔️ You'll actually enjoy your wedding day — Wild concept, I know. I'm experienced enough to know when to step back and let a moment breathe, and confident enough to round up 150 guests for a group shot without losing a single one to the bar.
✔️ I am annoyingly calm — If you're nervous about the day, I'll quietly help you feel less so. I've been known to pass tissues, crack terrible jokes at exactly the right moment, and diffuse the "27 cousins including the ones with 11 fingers and 13 toes" group shot with suspicious efficiency.
✔️ I do all the proper stuff too — Family portraits, couple shots, the works. Done well, done warmly, done without making you want to hide behind a pot plant.

Couldn't have got through the day without Tom!
It then worked out that Tom was a recommended supplier for our venue!
All the prep in the run up to the day was really easy with Tom.
On the day Tom was incredible! Not only did he capture all the key moments in a really natural way but he directed us in how to get some lovely natural shots.
He works regularly with our other suppliers and they had spoken before to make sure they were all agreed on timings.
Tom was so supportive throughout the day. He guided me in where I needed to be and what would happen next. He knows Chicheley Hall inside out and works regularly with their team.

Our day was very over cast and chilly, however Tom still produced some stunning photos and video footage that we are beyond happy with. We honestly couldn't have asked for a better way to remember the best day of our lives so far! The video footage has been a very big highlight to us and our friends and family with all of us sat in tears when watching the highlight video Tom had put together with two of our wedding day songs
Back to the 80s Wedding
In the lead up to the day, he couldn't of been more helpful with suggestions on coming up with fun and unique photos as we didn't like the idea of stiff rigid portraits. Once Tom knew about our plan to have the Delorean from Back to the Future, he knew exactly what work. Creating the movie poster of course!!
On the day itself, his calm and relaxed approach meant that he blended in with guests and was able to capture natural emotions. His eye for detail on our day meant that we can relive it over and over again, noticing new things each time we looked.
On receiving our gallery of photos both in colour and in black and white we couldn't be happier, he ever provided us with some wonderful Back to Future themed images.
We can't recommend Tom highly enough, from start to finish he was exactly what we wanted from a photographer and so much more.

I’m Tom though you may have previously known me as James. After many years of working under my middle name, I recently decided to rebrand and revert to my birth name (it sounds way cooler) - so while the name is different, everything else remains the same. I’m still the same experienced and awesome wedding photographer and filmmaker, dedicated to capturing beautiful, timeless moments for couples on their special day.
