I'm Tom, the wedding photographer behind Tom Stenlake Photography, nestled in the charming town of Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. I've turned my passion for capturing love stories into a full-time celebration, specializing in creating breathtaking wedding photography and films.
Planning your wedding? Are you stressed about capturing the perfect moments? Let's face it, there are tons of photographers out there, but how many can truly say they're your wedding day wingman?
At Tom Stenlake Photography, I specialise in authentic, natural documentary-style wedding photography that tells the real story of your day. Based in Northamptonshire, I proudly serve couples across Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, and beyond.
Why You Probably Shouldn’t Book Me:
✔️ Experienced & Reliable – If you’re hoping for someone who panics when it rains, turns up late, or forgets their camera batteries… I’m going to disappoint you. I tend to show up early, fully prepared, and with backup plans for my backup plans. Sorry about that.
✔️ Calm & Friendly – I won’t shout at your nan during group photos or add stress to your morning. I’ll probably just blend in, help you stay calm, pass you tissues when you need them, and sneak in a few bad jokes. If you're looking for chaos, look elsewhere.
✔️ Unobtrusive Authentic Storytelling – I don’t do awkward poses, and I won’t follow you around like a Netflix crew. I’ll quietly capture the real moments while you actually enjoy your wedding. And yes — I still do all the proper family group shots (even the one with all 27 cousins including the ones with 11 fingers and 13 toes).
✔️ Family & Couple Photos – I know, the horror. Some people actually want beautifully composed photos with their loved ones. If you were hoping I’d just disappear after the candid stuff… afraid I’ll have to let you down again.
💸 Also — there's currently a £200 discount on my Premium Full day and Classic Story Packages for 2025 & 2026 weddings.
But don’t rush. Take your time. I’m sure all the best suppliers won’t be booked up soon...
I mean, you’ve got ages, right? Definitely no need to secure someone reliable before they’re fully booked. Nope. Not urgent at all.
💫 So if you accidentally like the sound of relaxed, natural wedding photography by someone annoyingly calm, quietly experienced, and offering a discount that might just vanish when I’m full — well…
you know where I am. get in touch when you are ready to have the best day ever!

Meet the team
I’m Tom though you may have previously known me as James. After many years of working under my middle name, I recently decided to rebrand and revert to my birth name (it sounds way cooler) - so while the name is different, everything else remains the same. I’m still the same experienced and awesome wedding photographer and filmmaker, dedicated to capturing beautiful, timeless moments for couples on their special day.
