Tucked away in the stunning countryside on the border of Northamptonshire and Leicestershire, The Woodlands is an enchanting, contemporary venue where couples can get married surrounded by nature. From summertime ceremonies to twilight festivities, we cater to all wedding types and will ensure each and every one is entirely unique.
The venue boasts two stunning ceremony locations, both indoor and outdoor, each with their own unique charm. Licensed for up to 120 guests for civil ceremonies, and the option for up to 180 evening guests, The Woodlands offers everything you need to celebrate your perfect day.
The Woodlands offers more than just a picturesque setting. You can enjoy exclusive access to a luxury tipi, an outdoor kitchen, a firepit, a Treehouse Bridal Suite and 22 Woodland lodge bedrooms for you and all your guests.
THE NIGHT BEFORE
Tucked away within the beautiful Hothorpe Estate, the charming North Lodge is available exclusively for wedding parties the night before the big day. It’s the ideal place to relax, unwind, and ease into your celebrations in both comfort and style.
With spacious, well-appointed bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a bright airy dressing room, there’s plenty of room for your nearest and dearest to get ready together. A fully equipped kitchen and inviting lounge bring a homely touch, while sweeping countryside views set the scene for a truly memorable morning.
THE CEREMONY
Host your wedding ceremony outdoors from our enchanted Hideaway. With dappled sun shining through the trees and birds singing in the open air, you will truly feel at one with nature.
With floor to ceiling windows, you can enjoy the best of both worlds with an exceptional indoor ceremony room that offers outstanding views over the woods. The contemporary and stylish venue has a truly relaxed atmosphere with natural light in abundance, providing the perfect canvas on which to design your dream wedding.
FROM GOURMET TO GRAZE
The Woodlands benefits from having its own in-house kitchen team led by our highly skilled Executive Head Chef. Our carefully curated wedding breakfast options complement the unique setting and are designed to delight and above all taste outstanding!

ACCOMMODATION
Nestled in woodland treetops, just away from the main venue hides the stunning Treehouse Suite. Sleep amongst the trees for the first night as a newly married couple.
After a truly unforgettable day, having a cosy bed waiting for you sounds absolutely perfect. When you book The Woodlands for your wedding day, you and your guests have exclusive access to all of our accommodation so there’s no need for anyone to make a long trip home at the end of the night.
The following morning, gather once again in the Woodlands for a Full English breakfast before departure.

From our very first visit, we knew it was somewhere special, but the team exceeded every expectation we had. Our wedding coordinator, Alice, was absolutely incredible from start to finish. She was organised, calm, reassuring and genuinely cared about making our day everything we had dreamed of. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and knowing she was there meant we could completely relax and enjoy every moment.
While Alice was amazing, every single member of the team deserves recognition. Every person we came across was friendly, professional, attentive and seemed genuinely invested in making our day perfect. You can tell that everyone at The Woodlands takes real pride in what they do, and it shows.
The venue itself is stunning, the food was exceptional, and the attention to detail throughout the entire day was second to none. So many of our guests have commented on how beautiful everything was and how fantastic the staff were.
Planning a wedding can be overwhelming, but The Woodlands made the whole experience enjoyable from beginning to end. They didn't just host our wedding—they helped create one of the happiest days of our lives.

Stunning Venue
We opted for a more casual approach, BBQ opposed to a sit down meal which worked well and all our guests said how great the food was. My husband and I had a private meal down on the bandstand which was such a lovely moment.
Plus they're dog friendly which was super important for us!
