Rob is truely amazing! I booked with Rob over a year before my wedding and he didn’t let us down. The communication was perfect and there was never a delay in response and the way he conducts himself is perfect down to earth as well as professional and that was very noticeable by all our guest at our wedding. Rob has taken the most beautiful and amazing photos of me and my wife and the are photos you dream of but never think you are going to get. Rob from myself and kelly thank you. If we could give you more then 5 stars then we would because not only on the day was you are photographer you was there with your words of kindness and support and that help. Rob once again thank you and I will be recommending you to anyone I know who will be getting hitched.

  • "Great Photographer"
This testimonial was entered by Rb Photographic on 22 February 2018

Rob is an absolutely fantastic photographer, and an even better bloke. Weddings can be stressful, with lots to organise. But if you want to cross one thing off your list that you can guarantee to be perfect, hire Rob to be your photographer! They say first impressions count for everything, and with Rob you get the instant vibe that this is a really nice guy, passionate about what he does, and he makes you feel incredibly at ease about everything. He'll ask for plenty of input on what you'd like from the day, and offer lots of helpful advice too! On the day he goes about his work professionally, but with lots of smiles and laughs. The end results were better than anything we could've hoped for, and we are SO happy we picked Rob to be our photographer. So many people commented on how great he was on the day, and the feedback on his photos has been incredible. Thanks so much for everything x

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the price of your service?

I offer two services - Short Day 4 hours for £550 and Long Day 9 hours for £660.

What services do you offer?

Wedding, Engagement, Portrait, Christening and Party photography.

What does the wedding package include?

Both packages include a meeting, free 'engagement shoot', lots of email exchange to help with planning. An on-line gallery of Hi Res 6" x 4" photos organised into the wedding 'story tale' all free to download and a Hi res gallery linked to Photoshop where you can order and purchase products. You also get all of your photos on a USB & set of DVD disks and a DVD 'slideshow' of selected photos set to music. See my website COSTS section.

How far in advance should I contact you?

It's always best to contact us early, even if it's just a provisional enquiry because we are often booked up to 18 months ahead.

Do you cover more than one wedding a day?

No. We might cover a wedding on say a Friday and another the next day on the Saturday but never two in one day. It's not fair to the couples or us!!

Are you able to travel?

Yes we can travel. Driving to venues fairly locally that are no more than an hour away are no problem and we wouldn't pass this on to the client. Travelling further afield and including overnight stays is something we would have to consider charging for. Let's chat about it first though.

What is the charge for travelling?

Depends where, how and when.

What style of photos do you take?

All weddings require a series of 'standard expected' photos. Any photographer who tells you different is kidding themselves and you. So we will take those 'walking up the Aisle', 'standing at the Altar', 'first kiss', 'confetti throw' and all of the expected 'family & friends formals'. Once they are out of the way we can have some fun. If you want to climb a tree or run round a field I'm there with you. In truth though I consider myself a 'documentary' photographer. This means I try to capture all of those little and big moments throughout the day and record your 'story tale' as it unfolds.

What kind of technology do you use?

I use all Canon Pro equipment. Hi spec cameras and hi spec lenses. I always carry backups and I use 'off camera flash' wherever I can because it gives an extra dimension to pictures. I'm all for couples who want to go outside in the rain or the cold and the dark and set up those funky pictures.

Do you use a specific technique or innovative approach?

I never forget that it's not about me and it IS all about you. I prefer to act like your unofficial wedding planner. Right from the start I will give you tips and guidance and share my experience of weddings with you so that you can learn from the mistakes of others. Most people have not been married before and have no idea how the day unfolds. I'll tell you where and when you need to be and what you should be doing. Just in case. I've even announced the Bridal Party into the room before now!

What kind of equipment do you use?

I use all Canon Pro equipment. Hi spec cameras and hi spec lenses. I always carry backups and I use 'off camera flash' wherever I can because it gives an extra dimension to pictures. When time permits during the Wedding Breakfast I will put a selection of the photos I have already taken onto a large screen digital picture player and set it up in the Reception room so that your guests and you can see some of the photos taken throughout the day. I only photograph in RAW format.

Do you offer any tool to display the photos online?

Yes there are on-line galleries specifically for you. These can be open access or PIN locked for you to restrict access.

What''s the delivery time for photographic report?

I try to have your photos all edited and on-line within 7 days of your wedding. During peak season this can take as long as four weeks, however this has never taken this long yet. I also try and put 'teasers' on my Facebook Page and yours if you have one within 24 hours.

Do you send all the photos taken?

No. I will typically take 1200 photos at every wedding, sometimes more and sometimes less. I will deliver you anywhere between 400 to 900. This is because many photos are near duplicates. For instance in a group photo I might take 5 or 6 pictures because there is always someone blinking, yawning, etc. This means I will delete 4 or 5 of these just to get that best one.

Do you work alone or do you have a team of professionals?

I work alone. I might occasionally bring a second shooter with me who is seeking experience. This is beneficial to both of us and will not cost you anything. You also end up with more pictures. In any case I would always ask you first.

In case of unforeseen circumstances, do you have a replacement photographer?

I belong to several groups of photographers who can step in at the last minute should the unforeseen happen. However as with everything in life you cannot predict the future.

Do you have the rights to publish the wedding photos?

All Photographers retain copyright by law as a default unless the photographer chooses to sell that right. This means copyright does belong to Rb-Photographic at all times. However we give you free use rights for Non-Commercial use. So you can print them anywhere you like, give them to family and friends, etc but you cannot let any of them be used commercially without our permission.

Do you charge per hour or per event?

We charge per event. We can charge per hour by arrangement and if the event goes beyond the booked time we reserve the right to invoke an hourly rate. There is a contract that covers this.

If needed, would you be able to work extra hours?

Yes, see the above answer.

How do you charge extra time?

See the above answer.

What are the forms of payment?

You would be required to pay a non-refundable booking fee of £100 to secure the booking date. You can then pay the balance in any amount, any time you like as long as the full balance is paid 28 days before the wedding. I use Paypal, Stripe (Credit card) and will accept cash or cheques. Invoices are issued.

How do you work?

I take wedding photographs as well as Engagement, Christening, Portrait and the occasional party photograph. I'm adaptable, friendly and love my job. Who wouldn't; I get invited to your party, everyone is dressed up and gorgeous. They are deliriously happy, want to dance. And I get paid. No brainer really.
