Based in County Durham, Dash Photography captures weddings throughout County Durham, Darlington, Tyne & Wear and Northumberland, and now by popular demand we are taking bookings for Cumbrian Weddings.

Owner Dash ran a successful photography studio for many years before taking time off to start a family and pursue other interests. He is now back shooting weddings with the assistance of his youngest daughter, who is already a talented photographer. Together they have documented celebrations in some of the Northeast's most stunning locations, including Headlam Hall and Langley Castle. They are excited to bring your love story to life in the beautiful venue of your choice.

How far in advance should I contact you?

We will consider both short notice (subject to availability) and advance bookings. We are currently taking bookings for 2022, 2023 & 2024. We have some limited availability for last minute bookings

We are very experienced in photographing people and can easily make you feel comfortable in front of the camera. We love to be creative if given the chance, also use a drone for unique perspectives

Canon 5D mkIV & Canon RP Mirrorless - Selection of L series lenses - all equipment considered professional. We also have a DJI Mavic 2 Pro drone with Hasselblad Camera - great for aerial shots

We look for images that have 'moments' in them - whether emotion or story telling. We want to record the day almost as an emotional diary, we love being creative too. We want you to enjoy your wedding

Absolutely incredible

I can't recommend dash photography enough. Both dash (brendan) and his daughter were there to photograph our wedding day an it was genuinely incredible. I am not one to want a photograph taken, its very confronting for me, but I have never in my life had 2 such amazing people make me feel more comfortable and at ease. From start to finish I was guided in every way possible. I have slight mobility issues and was always asked if anything was too much or if I needed a break. Dash is a genuine and kind man and his daughter was just fantastic. Both kind, caring and concientious all the way through.
We've also received our photos within 1 week! The photos are just amazing. Book them now. You will not be disappointed! Thankyou so so much to you both!!

Loved the service provided!

We ordered the very minimal package as we wanted to spend time with our family. Dash and his apprentice made us feel very comfortable and we had fun along the way. The photos were just beautiful and turned out better than expected.
Communication was perfect leading up to the wedding and during the photographs. Can't thank you both enough and so happy we chose you to capture our special day ❤️

Couldn't have asked for more

Beendan was the perfect professional from start to finish.
We hired him for our small and unique, 1920s themed wedding and he got the style and the theme absolutely spot on. We couldn't have asked for more, especially at such a reasonable price.

Amazing, friendly photographer

Absolutely amazing experience with this highly professional photographer. Brendan was very adaptable, approachable and friendly and had fantastic ideas of how best to capture our special day. The finished photos were outstanding and have captured some truely special moments. Highly recommended.

Just WOW!!

Brendan ( or Dash as he is affectionately known ) achievd some incredible images at our wedding . We were so lucky to have him involved in our big day , his excellent inobtrusive , calming approach helped us remain relaxed throughout the day .
