Thank you so much Helen for shaping our ceremony into something so incredible, we never imagined it could be so personal, funny and just captured exactly who we are. We organised the wedding from the other side of the world and nothing was too much for Helen, over numerous meetings and chats over a cuppa tea, we got to share our story and shape our ceremony into more than we could have imagined. Our guests couldnt stop talking about how different and fantastic the ceremony was and how everyone wants a humanist ceremony now! Making the ceremony about us as a couple rather than traditional methods we felt really made our day so special. Thank you, I would recomend Helen to ANYONE

Helen was an absolutely amazing celebrant, we couldn't have imagined getting married by anyone else! We feel like she really got to know us during our initial meet-up - so when she showed us the first draft of our script it was already so personal and special to us, it brought a tear to me eye! We didn't change much from there, but when we did want to tweak or add something Helen was always so responsive and willing to make it happen.

At first we had no idea what we wanted, but Helen's suggestion to include a handfasting was a great idea, it really helped us involve other guests outside the bridal party and groom party. That really helped get our ideas flowing - we're very quirky, humorous and laid back, and Helen was so helpful in listening to our other suggestions. Our idea to add in a "burrito duel" with foam burritos to decide who read their vows first really made it feel like *our* ceremony with our personalities stamped all over it, which was exactly what we dreamed of!

The ceremony was delivered superbly on the day and all went according to plan. Our wedding day just felt perfect and Helen was such a crucial part of making it happen, getting the party started in the best possible way! We would absolutely recommend her!

Helen is so friendly and easy to talk to. She helped us create a ceremony that we absolutely loved and loads of our friends commented on how lovely and personal it was!

Helen was awesome! She made the entire experience memorable from meeting in our home to find out about us to conducting an unforgettable ceremony. She made the experience magical by weaving our life events and moment into a wonder and beautiful story that she delivered so magnificently on the big day! Helen is incredible!!!!!!! It was a strange chain of events that led us to meet Helen (a cancelled wedding, a cancelled humanist) but I firmly believe it was meant to be and I'm so grateful everything aligned as it did. From the first conversation with Helen on Zoom, I just really, really liked her. She was personable, friendly, helpful and kind. It felt like she just got us and what we wanted. She also helped us to realise what we wanted when we were struggling for ideas/ answers. The sit down chat took three hours and the time flew. It was like catching up with an old friend over a brew and we felt so comfortable opening up about our lives with Helen. My husband isn't the touchy feely type but Helen managed to get him to open up in a gentle way. We laughed alot and the whole process was fun and exciting.
Our finished ceremony was everything we wanted, and more. There were last minute changes which Helen handled without issue, everyone felt so welcomed by her and she delivered the most personal, meaningful service. Everything was there; who we really are, what is really important to us, a laid back atmosphere, lots of laughs and some surprises too! I had arranged a magician to surprise my husband as part of the service, only telling Helen and my son who "lost the rings" as part of the show! It was brilliant! Helen had made contact with Chris ahead of the ceremony and it was seamless! She also surprised me with a signed copy of a Donna Ashworth poem that I had chosen as our reading; blown away that she had gone to the extra effort to do that for me... it is framed on our wall as a lovely reminder of our day. We also had whiskey shots, a live song from my dad and our cockapoo present at the ceremony. It was everything we hoped for.
I cannot recommend a humanist ceremony enough. Every word was bespoke, everything represented who we are and what our marriage means. It felt comfortable and personal and meaningful.
Helen practically facilitated every step, but she also became someone I looked to for inspiration and advice. Her belief in the humanist movement, the personal touch and of really knowing people as individuals stood out. She was amazing and, like the service everything I hoped for. I'll never forget it and I'm forever grateful to Helen.

Helen is such a warm and lovely person who did the most incredible job of working with us to create a beautiful ceremony for our wedding. We couldn’t have asked for more. She spent three hours with us listening to the story of our relationship, which was a wonderful experience we both really enjoyed. We immediately felt we could open up and discuss the intricacies of our relationship and life together. From there she produced an amazing script and delivered it beautifully on the day - our guests were thought it was the best ceremony they’ve ever attended. We don’t know how she managed to come up with a script that was so perfectly ‘us’ after spending three hours listening to us talk. Every detail was perfect and she understood us so well. She is also full of great ideas if you’re not sure where to start with planning your ceremony or what you’d like to include - we wouldn’t ever hesitate to recommend her. Thank you so so much Helen!! We were looking for a celebrant who was beyond just some pre-scripted narration and could truly make our ceremony bespoke and personalised to us and our relationship. We came across Helen after doing a search via Google, and believe me I’d spoken to a number of people by this time.
My first observation following my initial call with her, is that Helen was so personable and relatable. Having not done this before, it was a little daunting because we weren’t quite sure what we wanted and what to expect from a celebrant. She made it extremely easy for us, and the biggest thing was that she was actually interested and cared.
Her style of connecting with us and getting to know us, our journey, what matters to us, what messages we wanted to convey was ….well very natural and it felt like we were talking to a friend.
She created a script that brought everything we had hoped for to life. It was so personal and to put it simply so ‘Us’.
On the day, her presentation was both personable and professional, and the ceremony really touched the hearts of all of our guests, and we had so many comments around what a beautiful ceremony it was.
We truly couldn’t recommend Helen enough.

We both cannot thank Helen enough for such a personalised, thoughtful, and beautiful ceremony. Before planning our wedding, we didn’t really know much about humanist celebrants but having had the ceremony we wouldn’t have had it any other way.

Planning a wedding with a new baby was stressful but Helen was very supportive and made the process so easy for us. She went to great lengths to clarify what sort of ceremony we would enjoy and also to get to know us personally. It really felt like someone was conducting the ceremony who had known us for years. Throughout the whole process she was helpful and warm and brought many suggestions to enable us to agree a beautiful ceremony.

Our initial contact with her was via video call and her warm, positive nature, instantly attracted us to choose her as our celebrant, we had spoken to a couple but Helen stood out as who we wanted.

We meet up face to face a few weeks later, where we began to talk through our story, we knew we’d made the right decision. Sharing our life’s story with Helen was so easy. It was like meeting up with an old friend for a catch up. .

After this meeting, Helen gave us her timeline up to the big day of when first draft would be ready etc. She always worked to schedule, allowing us to make changes along the way, not that many were needed in that first meeting she captured everything!

Helen arrived with plenty of time on the day. Greeting all of our family and friends as they arrived and talking those involved in the ceremony through everything they needed to know. When the moment finally came, Helen delivered our ceremony with the same warmth and joy we’d experienced on our first meeting, but this time our family got to join in. It was exactly what we had wanted and envisioned our ceremony to be.

Following the ceremony, Helen took the time to once again speak to both of our families, as well as joining us for a photo to capture the wonderful moment, before she then left us to enjoy the rest of our day. We will always remember everything Helen did to make the build up and the day, so special for us. It really was more than we could have hoped for and can’t thank her enough for being apart of our day!

From the first moment we spoke to Helen we knew she was going to be the person we chose to be our Celebrant for our wedding day. What we didn’t know is that she would take the time to get to know and understand us personally; our relationship; our journey through life before each other and with each other; and take the time to understand all of that to put into context our story for all our family and friends on our special day. And I can say that, hand on heart, that Helen made our wedding day into that special day. It’s perhaps cliche to say our friends and family all said how wonderful she was, but more so I had people from my partners family come up to me and express wonder at parts of my story, at how that made them feel closer to me and that those facts made me feel more a part of my new family. If you’re on the fence about choosing Helen to be your celebrant, don’t be. Get over that fence and book her!

Helen was absolutely brilliant for us, really built a beautiful ceremony to what we wanted and really helped make our day how we wanted. She worked with us throughout to make sure everything we needed and wanted was covered.

Our experience with Helen couldn’t be faulted. From the start she really took time to get to know us and insure that our ceremony was special. With a great meeting to insure she understood who we are and what we wanted and then really understanding with edits.

We met Helen at a wedding fair and decided to book her for our wedding pretty much straight away.
Helen met with us for a few hours and spent lots of time getting to know us and finding out exactly what we wanted to include in the ceremony. She was professional, friendly and really helpful in the months beforehand and on the day. There were lots of little touches throughout, which really made the planning and Humanist ceremony feel special and we really felt that our values were understood and represented.
Lots of our guests said it was the best and most personal ceremony they had ever been to, and that was down to Helen!

Helen conducted our humanist ceremony at Low Osgoodby Grange wedding venue earlier this year. She did an absolutely amazing job and we can't rave about her enough!

Helen struck the perfect balance of professionalism, whilst being super friendly and down to earth. Helen has the patience of a saint... we were constantly behind on proof reading the script, writing our vows etc and she was always encouraging. When we were struggling with putting pen to paper for our vows, Helen went over and above to meet us and give us some helpful tips.

The script which Helen wrote was so thoughtful, lovely and hilarious! It had everyone in tears and stitches in equal measure.
