I am an experienced wedding Celebrant, accredited by Humanists UK and passionate about creating personal, heartfelt and fun wedding ceremonies in North and West Yorkshire and beyond. Starting from our very first meeting, I will bring a wealth of energy and ideas for your ceremony and then lovingly guide you through the process to create a wedding ceremony that is unique to you and your love. Inspired by your love story and from taking the time to get to know you and what you want from your day, I will ensure your ceremony is meaningful and memorable both for you and your guests. I am proud to be a two times winner of a Hitched Wedding Award both in 2024 and 2025 thanks to the amazing feedback that I receive from my wonderful couples.
Services Offered
I only offer one wedding per day, so as to give your celebration my undivided attention and afford you maximum flexibility around timings. I am also part of a wide network of Humanist Celebrants so, if for any reason, I couldn't lead your ceremony, one of my colleagues would be able to step in. My process starts as soon as you book in as, no matter how far ahead your wedding is, we begin getting to know each other which helps me to then tailor suggestions and recommendations for your ceremony. We can, of course, also include any readings, music pieces, or symbolic acts that interest you, no matter how quirky! My wedding package includes unlimited communication, a bespoke script, a presentation copy of your script as a keepsake as well as travel to and from meetings in advance and to your venue on the day itself. Most special day made perfect by Helen
We couldn’t have asked for a better celebrant for our wedding! From our very first meeting, she was incredibly professional and patient, taking the time to truly get to know us as a couple. This personal touch really shone through in her ceremony script, which felt perfectly tailored to our relationship and story.
Throughout the planning process, she was both accommodating and thorough, always considering our wants and needs. On the day itself, she struck the perfect balance of emotion, bringing both heartfelt moments and plenty of laughter. She made our ceremony feel authentic and special.
We would hire her again in a heartbeat for any future events and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a celebrant who will make their special day truly memorable.

Not a dry eye in the room!
Helen beautifully captured our story, it was as though she'd known us for the full 9 years we've been together. Although her speech was about us and our journey Helen managed to include everybody else in the room, weaving them in and out of our tale where appropriate. I've never been to a wedding with so many tears filled with love and happiness. I thought I was doing a great job of hiding mine but the photos would say otherwise...

Helen captured our story so incredibly well. We got in touch with her 2 years prior to our wedding and she got to know us through Instagram leading up to the wedding. 2 months before the big day we met up told our story within a 2 hour window and from then she went away and wrote the most beautiful story. It's hard to believe she wasn't there for the full 9 years of our relationship!
On the wedding day there wasn't a dry eye in the room, she told our story with such grace and made our ceremony come to life.
Her professionalism was next to none, we couldn't thank her enough.
Every single person in the room came up to us afterwards and expressed how much they loved the ceremony, would highly recommend Helen. I'm so glad we chose her for our ceremony.

We cannot recommend Helen enough.
From start to finish she was focussed on making us feel at ease, and ensuring our wedding was right for us.
We were introduced to Helen via recommendation, and instantly felt at ease with her from our first zoom call.
Helen spent time with us face to face, to understand our story and who we are together and as individuals. She listened intently and asked us questions genuinely, and got so much detail and nuance down on paper. The first draft of our ceremony had us feeling all the emotions, weeks out from the big day.
Helen was thoughtful in the run up to our day, checking in, reading and providing guidance in forming our vows, and was available for support when we needed her.
On the day, it wasn’t just about the ceremony. Helen liaised with the venue, our dog walkers (yes our pooches had their moment too) and coordinated music cues with the vocalist we had for our ceremony (a late supplier change also, as we were let down by our original musician). All of which meant we didn’t need to stress and could enjoy our day.
From a remembrance candle, to heartfelt vows, shots to toast our wedding, and the all important pooches. Nothing was too much trouble for Helen, who makes a very challenging and important role look so easy and effortless.
We couldn’t imagine our wedding any other way, and will be forever grateful for the memories she helped us create.

Swinton Elopement
We’re not sure where to start but we can say that Helen was positively wonderful. We live in the US, in fact way over on the West coast. From the beginning, Helen communicated clearly and was very flexible for us considering the large time difference between us. Helen was organized, considerate and took the time during our planning calls to ask good questions, listened to our feedback and generally give us a sense of peace knowing things would be taken care of even though we were halfway across the world. When it came time for the ceremony she nailed it with the script she created, our ceremony was intimate and Helen having worked with the photographers before, helped cultivate the intimacy we were looking for in our ceremony. We can’t express how thankful we are enough, our wedding day was perfect and Helen was an integral part of it.

Amazing Celebrant! 🌟
Our wedding was in July 2025 and Helen was one of the best choices we made for our day! After conducting some research into humanists in our area we chose Helen. Her ethos and values as a celebrant aligned with us as a couple perfectly. From the beginning she was friendly, attentive and understanding. It felt really easy speaking to her about us and our story. We spoke with Helen about our wishes for the day and how we wanted the ceremony. From this, Helen curated a bespoke ceremony that captured us as a couple perfectly. Nothing was ever an inconvenience for Helen when we asked to add or remove information which made us feel like we were truly listened to and our story was given importance! Guests commented on the inclusion of anecdotes and little touches giving a warm and light hearted feel to the service. It was the perfect way of telling our love story and we’ll be forever grateful. I think Helen also beautifully introduced to some people from the wedding the job of celebrants and what they have to offer! Thank you so much again - we’re so glad we chose you! X

made our day ultra special
When I was looking for a Celebrant for our wedding in August, I met virtually with a couple of celebrants from Hitched and immediately hit it off with Helen when we spoke and we certainly were not disappointed. Helen spent around 3 hours with us in our home, really getting to know us and listened to our love story. When she sent through the script she really had managed to capture our true vision. On the day she was a calming influence and told our story with in a warm and humous way. our guests loved it and her. Thank you Helen for helping make our day ultra special, we also loved the pack she left us with our vows and her script as a memento.

Amazing Ceremony!!
What an amazing wedding ceremony. We only gave ourselves 5 months to find a celebrant and after plenty of research we picked Helen. After the initial consultation, it just felt right and Helen put us right at ease with what is already a stressful enough event to organise.
Helen was quick at responding and even though we couldn’t meet face to face, our online planning worked just as well. Helen put so much time and effort into getting to know us, reflected in her script which was both funny and touching.
Helen was amazing on the day, even matching with the colour theme and delivering the ceremony we wanted!

A magical ceremony - Helen is a genius and a joy!
Choosing Helen to be our celebrant for our wedding last autumn was one of the BEST decisions we made. She was so professional and easy to work with and made the whole process an absolute joy. The initial zoom session to get to know us and understand us as a couple had the potential to be awkward but Helen made the whole thing seem so natural and relaxed. She also guided us through the various options for what we could include in our ceremony and helped us to narrow down our choices. She then took all of the information from this and wrote a beautiful first draft for the ceremony that we were then able to review and amend as we liked. She was also super patient and encouraging while helping us to individually write our own vows and incredibly accommodating working around a 7 hour time difference! The end result was a unique and heartfelt ceremony that truly captured who we are and the story of our life together up until that point. We would wholeheartedly recommend Helen to anybody!

Helen was the best celebrant we could have asked for!
Helen wrote and planned us such a beautiful wedding ceremony, I would recommend her to anyone looking for a non traditional / non religious wedding ceremony. I couldn't believe the amount of detail she managed to get from our meeting, and writing vows that were so personal to us.
