We'd been to see a lot of venues before the Hovels was suggested to us and from the moment we saw it we knew that it would be the place for us. We knew we wanted a smallish wedding and the atmosphere in the Hovels was perfect. The glass really gives the room a light, airy feel even on a cloudy day. They have stretch tent outside which is perfect for lovely evenings and there are a lot of other extra things that they can do to really make the space look beautiful. They also have a bar onsite and a huge field (we covered it in lawn games).

Josh and the team were fantastic to work with. They do in house catering and we haven't heard the end of it yet from our guests. The food is stunning and sourced from the Harewood Estate. On the evening they were really helpful, made sure we had everything. They really made the day so much smoother than I was expecting. Honestly, it was the perfect venue. Thank you!

Myself and my partner got married at the Hovels last Saturday- I would recommend this venue to ANYONE who wants a gorgeous day!
The staff and Josh (event manager) really does go above and beyond for their couples. The day was everything we wanted and more.
All our guests commented on what a stunning venue it is and how incredible the food was. Honestly words cannot express how grateful we are.

Wow what a day we had, which wouldn’t have been possible without Josh and the team. We got married on NYE and despite the weather being against us everything else was just perfect. Josh went above and beyond from the moment we first went to look around the Hovels to after the event. The day itself was magical, the venue is just so beautiful and sells itself. The staff were all amazing on the day. The food was excellent. We have a special place in our heart for the Hovels and Harewood Estate, a lot of amazing memories had there and we will return for more of their events. Thanks again to Josh and the team!

The day was perfect thanks to the team. Despite how hot you all must have been it went so smoothly! We could see all the hard work going on but you seemed so organised, calm and ready for any tiny last minute changes. Even remembering the tiny details like limoncello shots for us whilst we hid away! The guests positive feedback we’ve had on the venue, staff, food and drink, is never-ending. Also, Emma’s family were so comfortable that their food was completely safe to eat, thanks to the team regarding the GF celiac options.

Our experience getting married at The Hovels was everything we could have ever wanted. We did all our organising with Josh who is absolutely incredible. We had ‘stages’ of planning where we narrowed down food & drink options (canapés, meals, evening food, reception drinks, table drinks, options to serve at the bar), which enabled us to gradually arrive at the right combinations for us. The food is absolutely beautiful and it’s so special that most of it is sourced from the estate. Our wedding was May, and a gorgeous day- the venue allowed our ‘minimal’ look/ approach, and the natural beauty of the venue and grounds to really shine. We used the stretch tent which added some shade and a nice atmospheric touch, as well as The Hovels own furniture. We didn’t need to add much at all! We chose to hire a crazy golf course which worked well there. We couldn’t have been happier with our wedding- setting up the day before and the whole process was just so fun with Josh & the team. He was in touch regularly with ideas and thoughts based on what we’d discussed. The menu tasting is also a lovely, really special experience!

We also stayed at Harewood Holidays which was really special, again Felicity and the team were so helpful with our cottage bookings and changing these/ advising us as required about best combinations and options to suit our needs. It made a really special place to get ready for the wedding, and to spend time there afterwards!
