The Hovels at Harewood is a grade II listed stable block conversion based in the heart of the Harewood Estate, surrounded by beautiful unspoiled Yorkshire countryside and protected parkland that's teeming with native wildlife.
The building has been redeveloped in recent years, combining original and new features: stone, wood, glass, and steel; the old and the new working together in perfect harmony.
The Hovels at Harewood is ideal for a wide range of private events with a capacity of 80 seated or 120 standing guests.
If guest numbers are higher, a large south-facing field adjacent to the building can be used as a marquee site.
The building tends to appeal to those looking for somewhere a little bit different, a rustic yet refined venue ideal for holding an intimate event.
Located north of Leeds on the border between West and North Yorkshire, The Hovels at Harewood offers an elegant venue for weddings and other special occasions.

Josh and the team were fantastic to work with. They do in house catering and we haven't heard the end of it yet from our guests. The food is stunning and sourced from the Harewood Estate. On the evening they were really helpful, made sure we had everything. They really made the day so much smoother than I was expecting. Honestly, it was the perfect venue. Thank you!

The staff and Josh (event manager) really does go above and beyond for their couples. The day was everything we wanted and more.

We also stayed at Harewood Holidays which was really special, again Felicity and the team were so helpful with our cottage bookings and changing these/ advising us as required about best combinations and options to suit our needs. It made a really special place to get ready for the wedding, and to spend time there afterwards!

After working in some of Yorkshire's top restaurants, Will leads the Estate’s culinary vision with a deep commitment to sustainability and showcasing the larder of ingredients on our doorstep.
Will’s menus draw heavily on the Estate’s own livestock, gardens, woodlands and local suppliers, celebrating the best of Yorkshire’s produce in its freshest form.
His food is deeply rooted in the landscape and the seasons, mixing classical dishes entwined with Harewood spirit.
Passionate about provenance and regenerative agriculture, Will works closely with the Estate’s farmers and gardeners to create a true estate-to-plate experience.
Will works closely with each wedding party to shape menus that reflect their tastes and the unique atmosphere of their day, whether crafting elegant tasting menus, creating bespoke dinners or fueling the fire with a summer BBQ party.
His passion for great ingredients and detail ensures every couple’s wedding menu feels personal, thoughtful, and beautifully crafted.
From intimate ceremonies to grand receptions, his focus is on creating food that elevates the moment, brings people together, and leaves a lasting impression of not just the stunning venues but an exceptional culinary experience woven seamlessly into their wedding day.
