We had a great experience with the StyleLounge from start to finish. They were very quick to response to our emails, all really professional and punctual. Leona, Brittany and Emma were fantastic. Our make-up and hair was perfect and lasted all day and evening despite it being one of the hottest days of the year! They were all so friendly and made us feel at ease throughout. I’m really disappointed with my experience with this company. I initially booked hair and makeup for my wedding and was looking forward to working with them, but communication was extremely poor. It took 42 days after requesting to book my hair and makeup trials, and a makeup trial date still hadn’t been confirmed. Most recently, my messages asking for updates were ignored for 10 days, only for me to then receive an invoice for the upcoming hair trial followed by a response.
To make matters worse, I was told there would be a £78 travel fee for the trial, even though the stylist would be travelling only around half an hour from a venue. When I politely explained to Lisa that I wished to cancel the wedding booking due to the poor communication, but was happy to go ahead with the hair trial so no one was left out of pocket, I was met with rudeness and reluctance to accommodate this or apply my deposit. She then backtracked and say the stylist wanted to do the trial after all, since she was nearby. There was no apology or explanation for the lack of communication.
This entire experience caused a lot of unnecessary stress at what should have been an exciting time. While I’m sure the stylists and makeup artists themselves are talented and lovely, the lack of professionalism and communication from management made the process far more stressful than it needed to be. I wouldn’t recommend booking if you’re looking for a smooth, reliable, and professional service for such an important occasion.

The Style Lounge team made me feel absolutely beautiful on my wedding day! My hair and makeup were flawless and lasted perfectly from morning to night. Booked hair and makeup with the style lounge for my wedding on 18th October for myself, 3 bridesmaids and my mother in law. Emma and Emma were fantastic, very professional and listened to feedback. Everyone looked amazing and my fantasy hair and makeup looked fabulous and lasted 12 hours plus! Well priced, great communication and on time. Friendly and kept us on track for timings without feeling rushed. I’ve never had my hair or makeup done professionally before. So I was very pleased that they made my niche ideas into reality! Highly recommended.

The Style Lounge have quite a variety of different types of makeup and I was able to find the service I wanted for my bridal party that was within my budget. I also paid for a trial for peace of mind and to meet the stylists and they were both so lovely and chatty, gelled so well with everyone on the day too! I booked with the Style Lounge in December 2024 for my October 2025 wedding and paid a deposit. I asked about trials and was told I would typically have a trial 6 weeks before the wedding and they would get in contact with me.

At the end of August 2025 I hadn’t heard from them so I followed up to ask about a trial date. I was asked to send some dates that I had available (of which I send multiple) and was told they were all unacceptable and to send more. I sent more dates and was told they would get back to me when they had time to do admin.

After a month of chasing, I still hadn’t had a trial booked in and was waiting well over a week for any kind of communication, which was mostly “be patient”.

3 weeks before my wedding, I decided to start asking around for other stylists on public Facebook groups for brides as I was getting really anxious about the Style Lounge’s reliability. I then had a message from Lisa at the Style Lounge, asking me directly if I had been advertising for another stylist, and if so, she would cancel my booking.

I very respectfully explained why I had been asking, and that I would be happy to continue with the booking with them if we could get the trial booked in. Her reply was “I will cancel your booking. Send your bank details and I will return your deposit”, instead of simply resolving the issue by booking in the trial.

Though I cannot comment on the quality of the hair and makeup service, the communication and professionalism was really poor and I would not recommend booking with The Style Lounge if you don’t want to be stressed and messed around.

Amy was the most lovely hair stylist and left us all feeling so beautiful on my special day! She was super responsive, quick, and made me feel so chill as I got ready to walk down the aisle.

I would definitely reccomend her to anyone!

Gemma was incredible! She put me at ease from the moment I met her! The make up she did was absolutely flawless and exactly what I wanted. I couldn’t be more grateful!

Saying this company is horrendous is a massive understatement. My Fiance booked this company to do hers and her bridesmaids hair for our wedding in June, they cancelled the 1st trial with no reason explained, they then cancelled it again with also no reason explained. After weeks of chasing the stylist my fiance then got a message that literally read "I don't do weddings anymore, contact the office" that is it. My Fiance then chased the office for an explanation, when the "lovely" Lisa finally replied to her, she wasn't apologetic in the slightest, she basically just said that the stylist was sacked and they have arranged for a different stylist to do her hair for her.... would have obviously been nice of her to let my Fiance know this, and she STILL hasn't been given a date for her trial. I have seen the emails that she has been sending to my Fiance and they are absolutely disgusting from a customer service point of view, Lisa is the rudest most condescending person i think I've ever come across. £140 in total has been paid to this company so far which is £50 deposit for the wedding date, £70 deposit for the trial and £20 travel fee for the trial. We know for a fact that due to Lisa's very strange and aggressive attitude towards her job that we are not getting any of this money back even though it is them that have messed up just about everything so far. My Fiance has now cancelled with them altogether but she probably won't get an email back for a while if ever. She has now found somebody that knows what they're doing to do her hair. If you want to book a company to do your wedding hair with the thrill of not knowing where you stand when they inevitably cancel all your trials and the excitement of not knowing if they will turn up on your big day then this is the company for you. But if you want your big day to go as smooth and as PROFESSIONAL as possible then look elsewhere. I'm not one to leave a bad review and never have before but the way this company and Lisa have dealt with everything is an absolute joke, no apology, no real explanation, just "we're very busy at the moment", They probably have got some stylist's that are very good, but the organisation and customer service is horrendous and it's just not worth the risk using them. As someone who has been in the industry and never trusted anyone to do their makeup, Emma was brilliant!! She knows her stuff and even when I wanted to tweak a few things, she was brilliant and made sure it was perfect.
Emma on hair, nothing short of incredible! All of us felt amazing! She’s so quick yet so amazing. As someone whose hair doesn’t hold a curl or style, it lasted over 12 hours and look amazing!!

Do not use this company. My fiancée booked in here and paid for a trial on a Sunday. This company cancelled at 9pm on the night before with no reason. Clearly someone wanted to go out and couldn't be bothered working in the morning. Oddly, no replacement date was offered. After so much chasing on our behalf, we eventually got a reply with two dates. We chose one date and then received no reply again. Lisa - who is probably the rudest, more unorganised person in the world - then tried to book the trial in the week before the wedding. She then refused to pay back the deposit despite The Style Lounge failing to uphold their side of the bargain. She has stolen money off my fiancée and again has decided not to reply. She claimed the deposit was to secure a stylist on our date, but admitted we did not have a stylist as someone had quit on her. If you book through this company, chances are it'll be okay. But there is a high chance she will take your money and leave you high and dry, with no apologies, no remorse and full of stress. She aggressively advertises on Facebook wedding groups so please do tread with caution. I regret having to leave this review but if it saves one other person from getting scammed it makes the review worth it.

I booked this company for my wedding as they appeared very reputable and I thought their work looked really good.
All went well until the night before my trial when it was cancelled via email with no apology or real reason for the cancellation. This was 7 weeks before my wedding. It then took over a month to find a new date for the trial, at times I waited almost 3 weeks for a response to my emails. Unfortunately a new date could not be sorted as they claimed to be busy every weekend until December 2025. I had to cancel their services a few weeks before my wedding as they wanted me to wait 5 days before the wedding date to do my trial. Considering how unreliable they had been, there was no way I could risk that.
Their work does look very good and I can see that they are very busy and a lot of brides obviously have a great experience with this company. However if you want a stress free experience with a company that cares and goes above and beyond, this is not it. As others have said, they appear to have bitten off more than they can chew and trials appear to be a low priority for them.
