About
The nine-acre Pythouse Estate is located in South Wiltshire’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). It includes two spectacular venues linked by a beautiful tree-lined avenue and an ancient stone bridge. Pythouse Kitchen Garden offers couples a full-service wedding experience defined by natural beauty and underpinned by wonderful hospitality. The team also has exclusive access to neighbouring Hatch House, which is fully licensed for civil ceremonies.
Couples have several options for their ceremony. Hatch House, just a short walk from Pythouse Kitchen Garden, is licensed for civil ceremonies and offers elegant formal gardens for exchanging vows. Alternatively, blessings or non-traditional ceremonies can take place within the walled garden itself. The team is available to guide couples through both locations.
A wedding reception at Pythouse Kitchen Garden is defined by its enchanting garden surroundings and exceptional hospitality. Guests can enjoy seasonal produce from the garden while celebrating in a relaxed yet refined atmosphere.
Pythouse Kitchen Garden’s magical glamping village is tucked away in the beautiful, secluded orchard at the bottom of the walled garden. This unique on-site accommodation option can accommodate up to 24 wedding guests, and there is space to pitch extra tents if necessary. Guests can retire to the glamping orchard at midnight and continue the party into the small hours.
The glamping village is fully equipped, romantically lit at night, and furnished to a very high standard. It consists of six cosy bell tents with comfy beds and fresh linen, a large covered party or family dining area, a well-equipped kitchenette, a breakfast and cocktail bar, very smart WCs, and piping hot showers.
The delightful Shepherd’s Hut makes a wonderful marital boudoir with its sumptuous double bed, ensuite safari-style shower, and WC. The Hut and glamping area are available to your guests from the day before your wedding until checkout (i.e., Friday to Sunday).
There is also a fantastic selection of hotels and B&Bs locally and the team can provide contact details on request.
Pythouse Kitchen Garden’s restaurant team ensures wedding menus are as exceptional as the setting. Led by head chef Darren Broom, the kitchen delivers outstanding dishes made with the freshest ingredients. Every detail is thoughtfully planned, whether catering for an intimate meal or a larger wedding. Couples are invited to sample the menu and meet the team to tailor their dining experience.
Sustainability is at the heart of Pythouse Kitchen Garden. The venue’s menus highlight ingredients grown in its own three-acre garden, ensuring a deep connection to the land. The team has earned a Green Michelin Star, Bib Gourmand, three-star ‘Food Made Good’ rating from the Sustainable Restaurant Association and carefully selects suppliers who share their commitment to ethical sourcing.
