We chose The Old Lodge for our wedding day in March this year and I will be forever thankful that we stumbled upon it and found the place. It was EVERYTHING and more we’d been looking for. We wanted something that felt like us, we only wanted a small and intimate ceremony and wedding breakfast, followed by a larger evening celebration.
From our first meeting, nothing was too much trouble, everything felt easy and the staff could not have been more accommodating. Communicating with them throughout the planning process was effortless and we were made to feel at ease the entire time.
The day of our wedding was better than we’d dreamed it would be, Jess and her team were nothing short of outstanding and the day ran like clockwork. I only wish it could have lasted longer. The food was incredible and we had so many compliments on it!
I just would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone wanting a small and intimate wedding, or a larger scale affair, they really can cater for it all! The setting is simply stunning and the venue itself is so beautiful, our photos from the day are simply perfect! We can’t thank everyone at The Old Lodge enough, we’ve already been back to visit for food plenty of times, and will be returning to spend the night for our 1 year anniversary! If you visit this place, I genuinely think you’d walk away having booked your wedding venue!

The Old Lodge was such a great venue. Not only was there a lot of things included in the package, they were so reasonable with making changes and not overcharging for things. Excellent value for money. Jess was our Coordinator from the Old Lodge and she was absolutely fantastic! All the staff was really amazing to work with and we didn't have any hiccups in our day. They were really flexible and helpful throughout and if I were to do it all over again, I would choose to do it at the old lodge! Highly recommend!

From the moment we met Alex we knew he was the perfect events manager for us, he is personable, calm and organised. No task or request is too much trouble and he really does make the whole process enjoyable!

Alex and the team at the lodge really made our day unforgettable. The day ran seamlessly and they looked after all our guests flawlessly.

We are so happy we chose The Old Lodge for our wedding in May 24. The whole process of organising the wedding with them was relaxed. The staff on the day helped to put us at ease and made every effort to make the venue look beautiful with their own little touches and ours. We had a very happy day and the guests told us they thought the venue was beautiful and relaxed . Highly recommend for a venue that won’t break the bank but will still deliver an absolutely perfect day.

We had 33 guests and wanted a personal and intimate veue…. What can i say ? the room looked amazing! The food was large portions, very tasty and we were given a great choice of menu options! On the day Alex and the team really looked after us, getting the schedule of the day perfect! All the bar staff and restaurant staff were happy and friendly. The day couldnt have gone any better! Alex and the team did an amazing job to ensure we had the wedding day we wanted , nothing was too much to ask and we basically had the relxing atmosphere we hoped for. Anything i asked for or suggested was always accommodated. This made it so unique for us rather than at a hotel where there are strict policies about certain things. The old lodge were awesome and everyone complimented us on our chased venue saying hie stunning it was. Thank you soo much for making our day perfect!!

We held our Wedding at the Old Lodge and had the most amazing day of our lives! The staff were wonderful throughout and nothing was too much trouble. Special shout out to Alex who went above and beyond every step of the way from the planning process to the to the slices of cake saved for our midnight feast.

We celebrated our Diamond Wedding anniversary and we were delighted with the effort put in by Alex and the team. We received plenty of comments as to how much our 70 odd guest enjoyed the whole experience. Thank you all.

Being a social awkward person myself I thought I would really struggle finding somewhere to host my wedding but molly and her team made the whole experience so easy for us. Always responsive and no question was a stupid question. Our day was absolutely amazing and enjoyed by everyone. The food is outstanding and the whole day was perfect.

Molly and the team at The Old Lodge were fabulous from start to finish. Comms were always clear and Molly helped make our day run exactly the way we wanted it to - down to accommodating our different requirements for aspects of the day to ensuring guests were where they should be at the right time. Molly was super supportive on the day itself, dealing with all suppliers and guest queries as well as making sure I (as the Bride) had everything I needed. We fell in love with The Old Lodge during Covid, even before we were engaged, and new immediately that would be our wedding venue. Just beautiful and can't wait to come back again soon for more delicious food!

We had a perfect, relaxing and low key wedding exactly as we had hoped at the old lodge. The old lodge team made every effort to meet extra little special touches and adapted the meals for me (gluten and dairy free). The food was one of the main reasons we booked the venue; and that didn’t disappoint on the day either. Would highly recommend this relaxed, beautiful venue which is also extremely good value for money.

Molly and the team at the old lodge could not have been more professional and on point with everything. We were luck yo be able to Wed outside in the beautiful garden. Myself and my wife were all looked after and catered for in every aspect. The whole day was perfect and I'd highly recommend.
