Wedding Venues in Canterbury

In just 3 weeks, the lodge managed to create the best day for my husband and I, even during covid. The food was incredible, the venue beautiful, and the hosting was especially amazing. They constantly checked on me before and catered to all our needs, and on the day, were phenomenal. I would 100% recommend this location.

We had our wedding last week after booking our wedding with Winters Barns 3 years ago. Throughout that time Lizzie has been outstanding, she absolutely made our dream come to life and the day wouldn't have been half as perfect without her! She ensured the day ran so smoothly and no detail was overlooked! we can't thank you enough Lizzie! Winters Barns itself is absolutely beautiful and we loved that everything was there, from both having space to get ready, to getting married, partying the night away, staying the night along with our family and having breakfast together the next morning! Everyone was blown away by the venue and what it can do, so so glad we chose to get married there, it will forever hold a special place in our hearts!

I got married here June 2025. I was looking for a venue for the ceremony as we had secured the reception venue and I didn’t want to get married in Canterbury registry office. We viewed the chapel and instantly I knew it’s where I wanted to have our ceremony. I would recommend viewing it as it’s so pretty and picturesque, even more so in person. The ladies made everything so simple. From sending off all the forms to organise the legality’s of it all, to allowing me to decorate prior. Nothing was too much hassle and they made what usually is the most stressful part of the day an absolute breeze. Gorgeous Venue - beautiful for all the pictures. Best choice I made for the day. Thanks again for making our day amazing.

Muriel and Kevin helped us to plan a magical day and we’re forever grateful for them helping us to plan our special day. No ask was too big, and all the staff we encountered were really friendly. Thank you so much for everything!

I can honestly say that all the staff who worked on the day were absolutely brilliant. Everything went to plan, looked amazing and was just everything we wanted. Please pass our thanks on to all the staff who worked on the day for our Wonderful Wedding. We will certainly be recommending the Abode in the future.

Everything about our day was just as we hoped for, and Sarah and Nina and the whole catering team were so helpful and positive. We were able to set up the day before, the catering service was exceptional and the food was delicious. All our friends said how personal it all felt, and how friendly all the staff were. Both venues (St As and Malthouse) looked beautiful and we were able to have lovely photos taken in the grounds. There is also a lot of freedom to decorate and put your own personal stamp on things. Sarah saved the day, as our DJ pulled put two days before our wedding, and was able to sort us out with an amazing sound system. Would wholeheartedly recommend!
