We had a wonderful experience. Our wedding was a dream thanks to the staff. Nothing was impossible for them.

Absolutely cannot recommend this enough, we had the best day of our lives getting married here. The Turner Contemporary is such an iconic building in Margate. Foyle room is spectacular overlooking the sea. The steps out of the terrace and the vast beach in front of you. It is just an impecable wedding venue. The team were so accommodating, so forthcoming with advice, and such a calming influence. Everything went exactly to plan and the drinks were delicious and served attentively. Just perfection from beginning to end. THANK YOU

Leas Cliff Hall is situated overlooking the mermaid tail at Folkstone Beach. A stunning backdrop for a start. The panoramic windows and full length balcony allowed the best way to showcase this incredible scenery. The space itself is simple (not for anyone wanting ornate fittings or classic architecture etc), but well decorated clean and flexible, with the ability to partition off areas to allow for a sense of intimacy for the ceremony itself, then to open it up in sections and use it as you wish. The cost was incredibly reasonable. It was one of the only places we found that changed the same for a weekend in the summer as a weekday in the winter, which is amazing! Linen was provided, and an amazing and generous 3 course meal at a cost that did not break the bank. They also helped arrange contact with the Registrar. Because it is not part of a hotel or communal space, this venue area is exclusively for your own use, including the bar area. This means there is no reason why anyone else should intrude on your private function, or risk that you will have to work around other functions on the day. Because of this, and because they did not stack their bookings. we were permitted to use the venue for the whole day, allowing for a relaxed setup. The perceived disadvantage for some is that there is no accommodation attached, which means you cannot get a package deal, but there are plenty of hotels, of varying quality, available nearby, and close by, that were able to accommodate all our bookings. This leads me to the staff. Hugh and his team were fantastic! They couldn't do enough to assist with every little detail. Double checking each element to ensure it was exactly as required before the event, working flexibly with me, and making the planning a relaxed and fun experience. To add, I have a really particular friend who worked in the catering industry and who, unknown to me, checked every element of the linen, cutlery etc. even down to the placement and said it was as good as any 5 star dining. So, in conclusion, a 5 star service for a brilliant price.

We live in Herne Bay, so when we got engaged we knew we wanted to get married in the pier, we had seen a few wedding on there before and saw how relaxed, fun and unique the day was…exactly what we wanted. Kirsty was amazing from start to finish, really supported us planning the best possible day. We were surprised at how reasonably priced the venue was. I was worried about booking an outdoor venue, but I didn’t need to, Kirsty reassured me she catered for all weathers and she absolutely did. We had wind, rain and sunshine and our guests loved it and were always comfortable. The setting was beautiful. We had fish and chips, ice cream and everyone had a spin on the carousel…our guests had so much fun and loved the whole day. You can make this venue as formal or as relaxed as you like, it really can be unique to you. Plus, we get to visit our wedding venue wherever to like to reminisce. Thank you so much Kirsty, we had an amazing day that we will never forget.
