Why Green Grove?
We offer a unique venue for weddings and special occasions. With breathtaking views and a panoramic landscape at the foothills of the Brecon Beacons overlooking the Towy Valley, this is the location to celebrate your special day. The venue is rustically beautiful, the backdrop is stunning, and we are here to help you make everything just right for a perfect day.
Everything is so flexible and intimate that it works for parties from less than 100 to 300. You can design and dress the barn to suit your individual needs. But, just as important, we have Sera, our on-site wedding planner and hostess, who will help you every step of the way. An outdoor ceremony? Live music? An evening BBQ? Pet-friendly? Yes, Yes, Yes, and Yes!
If you are looking for a unique venue that can be personalised to your particular taste, then Green Grove is perfect for you. We only plan on hosting a limited number of events each year, so you will have exclusive use of the barn and accommodation for as long as you need it, with no need to rush either before or after the event. Our self-catering on-site accommodation can accommodate 20 guests and includes a hot tub for relaxing on the eve of the wedding. You can even have a "chill out party" with friends and family on the day after the wedding. And for planning purposes, you can book the accommodation for a mid-week recce visit in advance.
We are easily accessible in about one hour from anywhere in South Wales and no more than two hours from Bristol or three hours from Birmingham. There are plenty of fantastic hotels, glamping and caravanning parks and B&Bs within a couple of miles, and we can help to arrange taxis, minibuses and coaches to minimise driving to and from the wedding.
In addition to our well-stocked bar, we have some great local suppliers (florists/designers, hairdressers, caterers, bands and DJs, etc.) that we can recommend, but you can bring your own if you wish. We are confident that you will get great value for money for whichever option you choose.
About Us
We are a third-generation farming family who developed Green Grove Barns for our own family wedding, and it was such a success that we decided to make it available for your special day. To provide the personal touch, to ensure that everything goes to plan, and to make sure you get all the help you need, we have our own on-site wedding planner, Sera, who has many years of experience in event planning and will be on-site throughout the planning process and on the big day itself. This is not your large-scale corporate venue; we aim to provide the personal touch throughout.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The most perfect Welsh wedding venue! Do it, do it, do it!
We planned our wedding on just three months’ notice (totally doable!), and nothing was ever too much trouble. Every crazy request was met with a smile, and the team were so supportive and accommodating from start to finish.
The accommodation was flawless — beautifully clean, comfortable, and loved by everyone who stayed. The fact that it’s dog friendly was such a bonus for us and our families, who can’t go anywhere without their four-legged friends!
We made full use of the venue all weekend. The night before the wedding, we had the bar and barn open and brought in All Fired Up Pizza (Llandovery) — hands down the best pizza and the loveliest people! Nothing was too much for Sera and the team, who helped make it all so easy.
On the wedding day itself, the bar staff were amazing — so organised, no queues, great cocktails, a brilliant selection of drinks (including my husband’s beloved Guinness), and even a local bottled lager which was such a lovely touch. Prices were really fair too! Our best man threw some spontaneous challenges at our “table captains” which led to a full-blown shot hunt for the bride, and the bar team were absolute legends for playing along!
We also had kids’ entertainment from HP Bouncy Castles (Llandovery) set up in the outdoor barn, which went down a treat with the little ones.
And we have to give a special shoutout to Sera — what an absolute legend! We genuinely couldn’t have done it without her. She was on it from start to finish, knew exactly what needed doing before we even thought of it, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. She’s an absolute credit to Green Groves and a huge part of why our day ran so seamlessly. Storm Amy was a part of our day and I hardly noticed!!
💡 Tip: Order your breakfast pastries from La Patisserie in Llandovery — they were divine and the perfect start to the morning!
If you’re considering Green Grove Barns — do it! And if you get a chance, go to one of their open days. You’ll see exactly why we fell in love with it straight away.
We couldn’t have chosen a better venue — it truly felt like “ours” for the weekend, and we’ll forever be grateful to everyone at Green Groves Barns for helping us pull off the most incredible celebration.

The Gilly’s wedding
Staff were great and really helpful and we even got to have our pictures with the farm cows! We decorated the venue ourselves and were able to setup on the Thursday and pack up on the Sunday.
Dog friendly venue, we had our spaniel Griff there and friends and family’s dogs which made it really fun.

They helped us to create the dream wedding for us. We highly recommend this beautiful wedding venue.
The best venue for the best day
So many people have since said it was the best wedding they have ever been so and I wish I could do it all over again. The barn, house and cottages are just beautiful and perfect for getting ready in and keeping everything in one place without the need to travel. We had about 160 people and it worked perfectly with plenty of room and a well stocked bar. We had a fire breather perform at night and we also arranged for a friends tractor to be delivered for decor all of which was welcomed. I think it’s fantastic value for money and a real show stopper of a venue. I had many suppliers including my florist which was setting up over a few days who all said they would definitely enjoy working with this venue in the future. Thank you so much Green grove team.

The fact that we can bring our own suppliers in was a dream as we weren’t restricted on what we could have. We could truly make our Wedding day a dream come true. The venue is beautiful and the views are breathtaking! We highly recommenced Green Grove Barns for your big day!

You have the flexibility of running things exactly how you want them, but with the amazing and professional support from Sera when needed 👌
I would recommend using Sera’s contacts as much as possible. She did all the communication for us as soon as we had chose our venders. (e.g. bands/ food/taxi/bus) Which, as you can imagine is extremely helpful.
Every time we visited, (which was as much as we wanted, through contact with Sera) the family were always working on something to make improvements. We were even cheeky enough to ask for a few extras, which were all met before the big day. They couldn’t do enough to help and were genuinely excited about improving their venue.
Overall, amazing venue and even better people running it.

Our amazing wedding at Green Grove
Sera, the wedding co ordinator at Green grove couldn’t do enough for us throughout all the planning. She was there for us whenever we needed her and her professionalism was second to none. She made sure that everything ran smoothly from dusk until dawn.
We had such an amazing day from start to finish. The staff were great and worked so hard to provide us with the best day possible.

Shwdmae Sera ydw i. Hi I'm Sera, Events Manager at Green Grove Barns. I will be your main point of contact from your first enquiry, visit through to your wedding day or event.
I started my career in hospitality over 30 years ago, as a pastry chef at the prestigious Savoy Hotel, London. What a privilege it was to work alongside some of the best chefs in the world.
I then joined the banqueting team at the well known Grosvenor House Hotel and Lloyd's of London company as well as spending my weekend's working for a marquee company at outdoor weddings, along the South of England. I took all this experience and ran my own restaurant and public house, which had an excellent reputation for good food and service as well as great reviews and accolades.
Now, I am in my element showing couples around Green Grove, chatting all things weddings and supporting couples to create a wedding as unique as they are. I am passionate about providing an excellent service as well as creating the perfect environment for their taste. Basically, I enjoy making your weding dreams come true ✨
I can also offer an additional full events planning service if required, where I bring my creativity to life along with a wealth of knowledge of the area and local suppliers.
