Do groomsmen get gifts?
There are no set rules in place of what the members of your wedding party should or shouldn’t get – and that includes the groomsmen. However, if you want to show a token of your appreciation, and you can afford to do so, then of course – be inspired by our present ideas for groomsmen and get them something you know they will love.
There are also no rules on when you should give your gift, should you choose to buy one. While many grooms will choose to give the groomsmen gifts on the morning or day of the wedding, others might do it before or after the wedding, which gives you one less thing to think about on the day itself.
How much to spend on a best man gift?
How much you choose to spend on your best man gift is completely up to you and what you can afford. If budget allows, it might be nice to get him a luxury keepsake piece, such as a watch or leather goods, but equally a small token of appreciation is just as special if it's thoughtful, personal and from the heart.
Our edit of gifts for the best man above includes presents from just £9.99 to items that are upward of £200.
Does the best man buy the groom a gift?
The best man is under no obligation to buy the groom a present for his wedding day – they’ll likely have been working hard to make sure the groom feels supported in the run up to, and on, the big day. Of course, if he wishes to get a present, then that’s fine too.
If you want to get the groom something special as the best man, why not team up with the other groomsmen? You could get something for the groom to open on the morning of the wedding, something funny that could be gifted as part of your best man’s speech, or it could even be tickets to something like a sporting event or gig that you can all attend at some point after the wedding day.
Do groomsmen buy the groom a gift?
So, do groomsmen give wedding gifts? Well, in our opinion, your presence is a gift enough! As with the best man, there is no obligation, but if you want to treat your pal to something then you could all club together to purchase something really special. Alternatively, you could join together to get a gift for the newlyweds.
Now the groomsmen gifts are sorted, it’s time to check out some wedding suit options!
