Writing an 'about me' personal profile is kind of hard... It either feels like I’m oversharing with new friends or promoting my most perfect self on Tinder, which for the benefit of my wife – I’ve never been on! So this feels weird & I’m going to start off slowly.
"I’m a wedding photographer based in South West London. I’ve been a professional for 13 years and have documented over 170 weddings to date." Ok, so that wasn’t so hard.
I believe weddings these days have become such a personal reflection of the couple getting married. Gone are the days of sticking with decades old traditions, thankfully! So if you’re keen to have your story told in a personal, natural, relaxed & most importantly, enjoyable way, without cliché'd poses, then I'd love to help. Which also means if you don't want lots of photos of your foreheads touching (Why would you?), just let me know. I'm happy with that too!
Couples tend to go with me for my creative portraits of the Bride & Groom which have an editorial feel. Your portriats may sometimes be posed but they are always relaxed, natural and most importantly, fun. I'm always on the hunt for a nifty nook for a photo or a shaft of light beaming through some trees or a window(It's a bit of an obsession of mine). My aim for your album is to capture the 'what actually happens on the sidelines' as well as the key moments, and most importantly I want your day not to be just about photos, but about you 2 having the most awesome day ever, and me documenting the love and the fun.
Couples in the main tend to go for a mix of documentary photography (i.e. me not getting involved) and a bit of posing/portraiture (me lightly directing things). And yes, you can absolutely can have a full set of formal photos with the family too!!. It's your day, so you get to choose and decide on everything. I will make a photography plan, discuss it with you & tweak it until you are happy. This way, you can both relax about the photography and enjoy the day knowing everything is in hand. You can be confident your photographer will be capturing both the formal & the fresh, with the contemporary & creative photos of you both. Yay!
And finally... don't worry if you don't have a huge master plan because I've still got your back & will happily walk you through the process & make some suggestions where they are welcome. You'll get my direct number for any questions you may have, at any time, leading up to the big day. I'm on your side every step of the way. From our first call through to delivering your photos in an album, you will be my priority.

Captured our day perfectly
The fact he does a pre-meet up before the wedding day to have a practice shoot really helped us relax as neither of us enjoy being in front of the camera. It also allowed us to pick what we wanted to do on the day to save time so that we could actually go and enjoy time with our friends instead.
We wanted very natural shots, mostly, which is why we picked Michael as we liked his photography style and he did not disappoint us.
