We couldn’t be happier with Michael. From start to finish, he exceeded our expectations. Working with us from the start with an engagement shoot (which was included in our package) to photographing not just one but two weddings! He was incredibly professional, fun, organised, and an absolute joy to work with. He made us feel so comfortable on our wedding day, even in silly moments.
His creativity and attention to detail shone through in every shot, as well as attentively following our requests and last minute ideas. I loved how Michael captured every candid, heartfelt moment without ever feeling intrusive.

What can I say... What a lovely, helpful and generally nice man. From the initial contact to the actual wedding day Michael could not have been more helpful, from guiding us through the process to making suggestions to ensure we got the best possible photos to remember our day. We were incredibly lucky to have Michael as our wedding photographer. Not only is he a consummate professional with a fine eye for detail, but he is also a truly wonderful human being — kind, thoughtful, and calming in every way. From the very beginning, he took the time to get to know us as a couple, meeting us well before the big day to understand our vision, our story, and what truly mattered to us.
On the day itself, Michael was simply extraordinary. The photos he took of the bride getting ready were not only stunning but captured with such sensitivity and attention to detail — the delicate moments, the joy, the anticipation, and even the quiet reassurances he offered that helped put everyone at ease. He brought warmth and encouragement to the whole bridal team.
But his real genius shone during the ceremony. Michael managed to blend in seamlessly, liaising so gently with the groom and guests while never being intrusive. He captured every touching moment of the ceremony with such care and precision, preserving memories we will treasure forever. His photographs are moving, joyful, and deeply human.
After the ceremony, Michael had already scouted the perfect location for our couple shots, ensuring not a moment was wasted. He gently guided us in a way that felt natural and unforced, producing images that genuinely reflect who we are — not a trace of anything cheesy or clichéd. Just pure, authentic storytelling through his lens.
Even the details — like our stunning wedding cake — didn’t escape his eye. He made sure it too was captured in all its glory!
I chose Michael because I had seen his previous work and was struck by its authenticity, the warmth it radiated, and the elegant, delicate touch he brings to his craft. He never goes over the top, yet his work is never bland — always full of soul.
Michael is a joy to be around, someone who instantly makes you feel at ease and who you can trust wholeheartedly. His pricing is extremely fair, especially considering the exceptional quality of his work. With so many aspects of weddings often overpriced, Michael stands out not only for his talent but for his integrity.

10/10 would hire again
We are so greatful to have Michael capture our special day! As two people who are unsure of what to do in front of a camera, Michael made us feel comfortable and gave us direction - we are so happy with the results! Great service, attitude and professionalism
Michael was fabulous. Prior to the wedding he had two online meetings with us to go through what we wanted… he was flexible (o kept adding things!) and he also recommended some great ideas for shots and logistics.
On the day he was great - really amenable and pleasant to everyone, getting loads of natural shots as well as a few posed ones S per our request. Our guests commented on how he was everywhere but not intrusive at all. We cannot wait to see our final photos - if the few Michael sent over the day after the wedding are anything to go by, they’ll be fab!!Michael Willatt Photography's reply:

Just what we were after!
Michael was the perfect photographer for our wedding. We wanted to avoid stuffy, cheesy, or staged photos, and worked with us to create our vision. He kept us and our guests at ease, creating a relaxed atmosphere that allowed personalities to shine through. Many guests complimented his friendly approach and had a great time being photographed. We aren't comfortable in the limelight, but Michael's gentle direction helped us feel natural, and the photos turned out amazing. Excellent experience
My wife and I chose Michael after finding him on hitched.co.uk. From the outset he was a consummate professional, from our engagement shoot, to the frequent and open communication before our wedding and then the day itself. Michael had listened to what we wanted, was easy going and congenial with guests but also managed to direct and herd them when the need arose. He delivered some excellent photos, from which we selected some of the best to go into a bound album, which was included in our package.
