We're really so pleased that we used Helen for our wedding day photography. She worked so hard in very difficult conditions (it was over 33 degrees on the day ,with the ceremony being outside too!!). A very pleasant and professional lady to work with, she was extremely well organised and managed to get some amazing photographs of our wedding and guests. I couldn't recommend her highly enough. The photographs themselves are excellent and really high resolution, she also had some nice ideas that we hadn't thought of (photo's of our wedding rings, bouquets, and wedding shoes).

Pre wedding we had several on line meetings and questionnaires which helped the whole process on the day. I'm sure that if you choose Helen Weir photography, you will not be disappointed.

We met Helen at a wedding fair while planning our wedding. We weren’t specifically looking to book a photographer that day, we were mainly there to gather ideas and see what was available. However, Helen stood out immediately.

From our very first conversation she seemed genuinely interested in us as a couple. She was warm, friendly and easy to talk to, and within minutes she had made me feel relaxed. We left the fair feeling as though we’d met someone who genuinely cared about capturing our wedding rather than simply selling us a package.

We decided to book an engagement/pre-wedding shoot to help us feel more comfortable before the wedding day. As someone who isn’t naturally confident in front of a camera, I was quite nervous beforehand, but I needn’t have worried. Helen made the whole experience feel effortless. The shoot was relaxed, fun and completely natural, and we spent most of the evening chatting and laughing.

What impressed us most was how comfortable she made us feel. Nothing felt forced or awkward, and she somehow managed to bring out the best in us without us even realising it.

When Helen sent our engagement gallery, I was genuinely nervous about opening it. I’ve never been particularly confident when it comes to photographs of myself, and I was worried I’d focus on every little thing I didn’t like. Instead, I was in tears within minutes - happy tears.

The photographs are beautiful, but what makes them so special is that they feel like us. Helen captured the laughter, the affection, the silliness and all the little moments between us that make our relationship what it is.

For the first time in a very long time, I looked at photographs of myself and felt pretty. That may sound like a small thing, but it genuinely meant the world to me. The biggest gift Helen gave me wasn’t just a collection of beautiful images; it was confidence and excitement for our wedding photographs.

I cannot recommend Helen enough. She has an incredible ability to make people feel comfortable and then capture them at their very best. We absolutely love our engagement photographs and feel so lucky that Helen will be photographing our wedding.

From the moment we met her, she was professional, organised without being overly formal or structured and incredibly fun which instantly put us at ease. Helen did the photography for our daughters wedding day. The photos were/are amazing and still bring tears to our eyes when we look at them daily. When we first met Helen on our first meeting rob my other half sprained his Ankle at work. Then when Helen came too see us two weeks before the wedding I had sprained mine on my hen do! She made a joke saying is everyone walking now low and behold she came into the living room and see me sitting there with my ankle raised up and said wot have you done we was both giggling. Thankfully me and rob made it too our big day with no problems to say we was all delighted lol Helen is a very special person we wouldn’t have had anyone else do our wedding! The first time I me Helen was at a wedding fair, I can't tell you enough for how many years I have been scared of getting married, I'm the older bigger bride and found the right one on the what I felt was the later side of my life not his though, he's perfect for me and I wanted desperately to give him his dream wedding, I've never been married and the thought of just trying on those dresses terrified me.. however as soon as I got near to Helen's stall I started to feel something different I can't t even describe it ..as I looked over her stunning photos on display I burst into tears! Yup right Infront of her, (I rarely cry)..she literally came over and put her hand on my shoulder (btw she's beautiful) and I'm not even kidding I relaxed and loved her instantly she even sent Ian away to find tissues, lots of tissues, I told her that I thought all along the dress was my problem and right Infront of me she had captured one of the most precious times in those people lives creating a stunning mood and feel for each photo, and from her reassurance and her talent I kept staring at, i knew instantly I didn't want anyone else but Helen to be with me on our special day, and she was not only there for us on Friday 29th she asked to help curl mine and my daughter's hair as I had that meltdown Infront of a mirror.

Helen was our photographer at our 'late in life' wedding recently. You feel her enthusiasm when you first meet her.
She produced a fantastic gallery of photographs that really document that special time for us. They were everything we could have hoped for, spontaneous, varied and full of surprises. She is clever and imaginative in getting the best from everybody attending.

I met Helen at a wedding fayre held at Ware Priory, which just happened to be the venue for our wedding.

Helen has a great personality, always has a smile on hand, easy to talk to, engaging, listens well and is keen to put forward her ideas.

We were both so pleased with how she carried out her work. Once we had agreed to have Helen as our wedding day photographer, she was quick to arrange a follow up meeting (which was carried out via Zoom as we live outside of the UK).
Using her brochure she ran through the different packages available, offered advice on timings, where we would take photos at the venue and what her role would entail during the day.

In the months and then weeks before, Helen continued to keep in touch vial email, which included a couple of online forms to help her understand more about us and which group photos would be required.

It is clear that Helen has wealth of experience when it comes to these type of events and this was invaluable throughout the whole process.

She was very well organised, knew what shots she wanted to capture and even though we didn't have the greatest weather, using her lighting equipment and her trusted assistant, managed to get some great photos.

The whole day was a roaring success and only made possible by the good work carried out by all the suppliers of which Helen was an essential part.

Helen has been so easy to work with in the build up to our wedding. At our engagement shoot, she listened to us on exactly what we wanted but guided us where necessary. She provided the photos within a few days and they are super easy to download or buy.
