Rafe Abrook Photography is a full-time professional wedding photography business located in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, that specializes in capturing life’s most precious moments. Owner and lead photographer Rafe Abrook uses a natural documentary-style approach to capture the most authentic moments throughout the day. Rafe has been running the business for over 7 years, capturing over 380 weddings during this time, balancing his skill of capturing reportage moments with his ability to capture stunning Bride & Groom portraits.

Services Offered

Rafe Abrook Photography offers a range of package options from 4 to 12hrs. On off-peak dates, he also offers shorter day options and is willing to price something bespoke if required.

He also offers and recommends adding one of his bands of regular Second Photographers for the full-time to ensure end-to-end coverage and no key moments being missed.

On top of the above, Rafe also offers his Video Highlight Film package where he fiulms video while capturing stills for you.

I employ a photo journalistic. reportage approach to the majority of the day, but will help orchestrate group shots and the all important Bride & Groom portraits! It's all about the people!

3 top end Canon Mirrorless (R6) cameras with the very best Canon EF and RF prime lenses, and a full off camera flash system

Look no further for your wedding photographer!!

If you have come across Rafe in your hunt for a wedding photographer, then look no further! We are over the moon with our wedding photographs and cannot stop looking at them. The quality is fantastic and he has wonderfully captured every moment of our day. He has been helpful, supportive and a great surrounding board through the COVID-19 crisis. We just managed to squeeze in a small wedding before lockdown and Rafe was fantastic with changing plans, keeping in touch and being flexible. Would definitely recommend an engagement shoot, it made us feel at ease and prepared for the wedding day. One positive about having to delay our celebrations is that we now get 2 sets of photos from Rafe!

Thank you so much!

Choosing Rafe was the best decision we made for our wedding at Woughton House! From the moment we met Rafe, prior to our wedding day, his calm, professional manner helped us relax and put our faith in his amazing talent. Both him and his second photographer, Michael, were phenomenal throughout the day. They both went above and beyond to get the shots we wanted and many many more that are all outstanding. Rafe and Michael were both excellent from start to finish. They were there all day (well into the night!) to ensure they got fantastic dance floor photos too. Words can't express how happy we were to receive our sneak peek photographs after less than a week and were blown away by how they captured the atmosphere of our special day - the sparkler shot being one of our favourites! We would recommend Rafe for all your photography needs but especially your wedding and we can't wait to use him again in the future. Thank you so much!

I would highly recommend Rafe

Rafe has done a totally fantastic job of capturing the love, laughter and happiness we had at our wedding at South Farm. He has a great eye for detail and an ability to take natural, relaxed and intimate photos which show true personality - something that was really important to us as a couple as we are not a very "posey" couple. Everything about Rafe was professional, yet informal, he was able to share his expertise and experience with us in order to get the best shots and I have to say we were blown away by the results. Since the wedding, we've had countless compliments from guests about the quality of Rafe's photos. I would highly recommend Rafe

Choosing him was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding

A wonderful photographer who is dedicated to getting you the best photos of your special day. Rafe is fabulous to work with because he makes you feel totally comfortable and yet remains polite and professional. He has exceptional talent and choosing him was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. He also traveled a very long way to join us at a new venue and took the most stunning pictures, which we just love. No regrets at all! We 100% recommend him.

Amazing

Rafe did an amazing job on our wedding day! All of our friends and family have said how much they love the photos, and we cannot thank him enough for capturing our wedding day so perfectly. Rafe and his team were professional and friendly, very easy to work with and even stayed on late into the evening to get some fab shots of our guests at the evening reception. Highly recommend him!

Beyond our expectations

We genuinely cannot thank Rafe enough for capturing our day just perfectly! The outdoor snow shots were so far beyond our expectations. We chose Rafe for his creative eye and natural/action shots and are so happy with the outcome. Rafe was very professional and friendly and kept all the shots very informal and fun. Excellent from day one

Rafe and his team were excellent from day one - being someone who hates having his photo taken and has no real clue about photography, Rafe was able to calm my nerves and help the day go with complete success whilst ensuring my wife was comfortable and enjoyed every minute.
His team were as friendly as he was and they got in incredibly well with everyone at the wedding.
Thanks for capturing our special day perfectly.

Came to our rescue

Stunning Portrayal of Our Special Day!

Rafe Abrook Photography - where do we even start! It was an incredible journey. The best professional in the wedding industry that we could ever have asked for, from booking to engagement shoot to the big day and beyond Rafe was amazing! If you're not a massive fan of being photographed and/or want a well documented story of events from your big day capturing emotion & personality, look no further. Rafe made us feel at ease from the very beginning, he was friendly, understood exactly what we were looking for & took truly amazing photos. The photos were perfect portrayals of our closest family and friends celebrating with us & on the day itself he was a photography ninja, almost invisible yet he captured every second of our day in the most incredible way. Utterly professional

Rafe was utterly professional from start to finish and took the stress away from worrying about anything to do with our wedding photos. We had Rafe and Karolina there from morning until dark secretly beavering away all day and then he produced some amazing photos for which we’ve received so many compliments including from others who got married this year. Only hard part was choosing which ones to get framed as there were so many! Thanks Rafe

Absolutely fantastic

Rafe and his team shot our NYE wedding last week and were absolutely fantastic! From our initial consultation, Rafe was very friendly and professional and put us at ease. His passion for photography shines through and is shown in the two pictures we have had a sneak peak at already.... we can’t wait to see the rest! Well what can I say?! The photos are just amazing and couldn’t be more perfect!! We had such an amazing day and the photos DO do it justice. Rafe and his team were fantastic on the day. Worth every penny!

Rafe was amazing! We absolutely love our wedding photos, they really tell a story and Rafe was able to capture the emotion from the day beautifully. Our photos are so creative and he made both of us & our guests feel so comfortable. Very highly recommend.. worth every penny!
