Sophie Grace Bridal is an award-winning bridal shop based in Wokingham, in the South East of Berkshire. Its chic and sophisticated interior along with its relaxed and inviting atmosphere will ensure that you have a wonderful experience. 
 
At Sophie Grace Bridal you will always have a personal stylist with you for any questions you may have and we offer an exceptional collection of wedding dresses from some of the world’s leading bridal designers, including St.Patrick Bridal, Martin Thornburg - MonCheri, Ladybird Bridal, GAIA Bridal, Alan Hannah Bridal, Diane Legrand, Eliza and Ethan Bridemaids dresses and Dessy, Ellis Bridals.
 
Our current-season wedding dresses are priced from £1,200 to £2,500, however, because we regularly rotate our sample stock, those on a tighter budget are sure to find a bargain on our 'Off The Peg' rail.  
 
Having all worked in the bridal business for many years, our team knows that every bride is a special individual, therefore many of our gowns can be tailored to meet your needs, directly from the designer. We are also delighted to inform you that we have a very talented dressmaker, who will be working on the premises, where she will be able to assist you with all your fittings and alterations. If you bought your dress and garments elsewhere you can still take advantage of our specialist alteration service. 
 
Once you have found your dream dress, we have an exquisite array of bridal accessories and can assist you in choosing those all-important finishing touches to perfect and compliment you. We have a beautiful and glamorous range of veils, tiaras, headpieces, belts, and garters. You can be sure that our carefully chosen collection will add that magical touch.

I'd like to come and see your wedding gowns - do I need to make an appointment?

Sophie Grace Bridal operates 'by appointment only' which, whilst it sounds very grand, simply ensures that we can give you our undivided attention whilst you're with us and means that you get the boutique all to yourself. You can make an appointment by calling us on 0118 9771715 or by using the online appointment form.


What designers are stocked?

We stock a huge selection of designer wedding gowns featuring both contemporary and classic designs such as St.Patrick Bridals, Award-winning designer Catherine Parry Bridal, Alan Hannah, Blue Bridalwear, Ladybird Bridal & Emma Charlotte, Diane Legrand, and Ellis Bridals. We are very excited to add the new designer label featuring Plus-size bridal gowns. Each dress is enhanced with superb structure and support to make sure the fuller figure bride looks and feels extra special.At The Sophie Grace Bridal, we stock two brands of bridesmaids dresses - Dessy Bridesmaids Dresses and The Eliza and Ethan bridesmaid dresses. Prices start at £195 and go up to £250 for the more detailed dresses. We have carefully selected the range of bridesmaids dresses to offer you the most expansive range of colours, styles, and prices possible.


How much money should I expect to spend on a dress at Sophie Grace Bridal?

Our gowns start at £1,200 and go up to £2,500. The majority of our dresses fall in the £1,500 to £1,700 range. We require a 50% down payment at the time of your order, and the remainder is due when your gown arrives.


What if my size isn’t available? How will I try on gowns?

We’ll help you envision how the dress will look on you, even if it’s not an exact fit. We carry a variety of sample sizes in our boutique to ensure that all brides has enough wedding dresses to try on. Part of having a professional consultation with us is so that you can be fitted and pinned as needed, this will really help you see how you will look even if the dress is a quite a few sizes off fitting.


Are alterations included in the cost of my gown, and what do they average?

Most salons don't include alterations in the cost of your gown, so factor them in before committing to a dress, especially if it's on the higher end of your budget. You need to know the total price to make sure you aren't going over what you intended to spend.


When should I start shopping for my dress?

We recommend having your wedding date and venue booked before you begin your search for a dress. It is important to have the date and location established so you can envision the wedding’s overall look, and know when your dress needs to be ready! Gowns typically take four to six months to arrive in our store, and alterations generally require one to two months. Start shopping for about eight to ten months in advance to ensure you have plenty of time to make up your mind without any stress!If your wedding is more than a year away, we recommend waiting a bit. After all, styles and tastes can change, and dresses can be discontinued. At Sophie Grace Bridal, we want to make sure you start your search when you’re truly ready to say yes to the dress!


If I decide to buy this dress in the coming months, will it still be available?

After you've found “the one," you really should stop looking. However, if you need some time to sleep on your decision, make sure your dress will still be available in the future. Designers discontinue styles all of the time, and salons usually have very little notice. Some salons also offer incentives if you buy on your first visit. It never hurts to ask, and it might help you make up your mind.


Do you offer any special services?

Dressmaking Service: We have professional, qualified seamstresses that work on the premises. Our seamstresses can make jackets, add sleeves, remove sleeves, add straps, reduce trains, insert lace up backs, and add extra detail. We are pleased to be able to offer this fitting service to Brides, Bridesmaids, Prom Dresses, Mother of the Bride who have purchased their gowns, dresses, outfits from another establishment. Our expert dressmakers will fit you in our Fitting Rooms, subject to a pre- arranged appointment, ensuring your outfit is perfect for your big day. Dry Cleaning & Boxing Service: We also offer a cleaning service for our brides' gowns after the special day. Gowns can be either be cleaned and hung or cleaned and boxed. We use beautiful boxes which are acid free, ensuring that your gown is safe for life long storage. Whatever you need we will always do our very best to help you, every step of the way.


Who should I bring with me to my appointment?

Bring the two or three people whose opinions you value most. When it comes to choosing a dress, more is not always merrier! You’ll want to bring guests who understand your true style, give supportive feedback, and will help you look your best. Hearing too many opinions can be overwhelming for even the most confident of brides, so keep the guest list short and sweet.


Do you have off the Peg dresses available if I have a short lead time?

We have a wide range of 'Off the Peg' dressess are made up from amazing bridal designer's current wedding gown collections. We edit our dress range regularly and are constantly taking delivery of new styles – so something has to give! All gowns offered have only been used in our boutique for brides to try on. They are not second-hand gowns. They are in excellent condition and you can still be assured of the same first-class alteration service from our in-house seamstress.


I only have a few weeks/months until my wedding, can you help me find my dress?

Of course! We stock over 50 sample gowns which can all be taken away on the day. So even if you only have a few weeks, do not panic as you can take your dream dress away with you!


How many dresses will I get to try on and how long will my appointment be?

We usually advise you to select 3 or 4 dresses which you’d like to try, and then throughout the appointment we will get a feel of what you are/not liking and we can pull some more out for you! Sometimes the ones we pull out are not what you’d go for but are often the ones brides go for! Have faith in us. Your appointment will last for around 1 hour 15 mins.


What appointments do you offer?

We are currently offering Dress Consultations and Dress Retry appointments, Dress Consultations are 1 hour and 45 minutes and include exclusive use of the showroom. There is a booking fee of £20 for all Weekday and £35 for all Weekend Dress Consultation appointments, and this is redeemable when you order your gown with us. Should you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment, then a full refund will be given as long as you give notice in writing, no later than 72 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. If you wish to book a Dress Retry appointment following your Consultation we are able to offer a first retry free of charge, subsequent retry appointments are chargeable at £20 each.


What will my ‘New Normal’ appointment be like?

We’ve taken lots of steps to ensure we are working safely within government guidelines, and you can read about these below. * The showroom and dresses will be thoroughly cleaned regularly, and all touchpoints will be disinfected between appointments. * We continue to be appointment only, and the showroom will be exclusively yours for the duration of your appointment, along with your very own dedicated Bridal Consultant. * We will ask that at this time you bring only one - special and trusted - person to your appointment. * Both you and your guest will be temperature checked on arrival with a no-touch forehead thermometer. * Both you and your guest will be provided with cotton face masks and a washable bag, along with lashings of hand sanitiser and gloves. We ask that masks are not removed for the duration of your appointment, and we will be wearing ours too. * During your appointment, we will adhere to recommended social distancing measures. We have some nifty equipment that will allow us to help fit your dress in a safe way. * Dressmaking appointments will now take place downstairs to limit movement through the building. * Unfortunately, we are unable to provide refreshments or allow the use of the washroom other than for handwashing. * We will ask you to sign and agree to abide by our protocols prior to the start of your appointment.


How can I prepare for my appointment?

Number one - research, and well done as you have already found your way to an award-winning Bridal shop with the huge range of dresses, years of experience, and an on-site seamstress to both customise and fit your dress! In advance of your appointment, one of our Bridal Stylists will be in touch to discuss your plans, style and budget, so make sure you have given some thought to these. This will also help you get to know the Stylist behind the mask in advance of your appointment. We have always said when you’ve found the one, your search is over, and now more than ever that sentiment is true. While we know it can be daunting to say Yes to the Dress the first time you see it, we know that in the current climate your freedom to see lots of dresses and boutiques is no longer advisable. Which is why we ask you to talk to us, honestly and openly both before and during your appointment so that we can help guide you seamlessly through your dress search and ensure that saying ‘Yes To Your Dress’ is still the magical experience you envisaged.

    I cannot put in to words how good this place is, we walked in to a huge room filled with beautiful dresses which we had to ourselves for our own private appointment. Mo was amazing, I had an idea of what I wanted but Mo explored all other avenues to ensure I was happy and I found my dress on my first dress shopping trip ???? This place is a must!

    Fantastic experience from start to finish!

    From my first appointment right through to the day I collected my dress the whole team here are fantastic!

    They have a great selection of dress styles and designers, plenty of room to try on in the shop and you don't feel rushed or pressured in anyway. Maureen and all the team are very warm and make you feel relaxed immediately. You can tell they have years of experience.

    After I picked my dress everything happened as they advised me it would, the dress came in when it was supposed to, the team were proactive in contacting me to arrange fittings and flexible with timings.

    A huge bonus for me with this boutique is the onsite seamstresses (Visma and Jackie) who did a remarkable job of altering my dress - it fitted me like a glove on the day. I have friends who have had to have their dresses sent away after every alteration - having the team onsite and knowing the dress was staying put and not being couriered back and forth was a big comfort to me!

    I cannot recommend the team enough!
