Sali aka Ms Moo :) I adore getting to work with bridal clients. I truly believe I've got the best job in the world, getting to help people look good and feel good on the most special day of their lives. Make-up to me is about enhancing the beauty within, guiding you on what will accentuate your best features and how to get the very best from your skin. I'm a very big fan of making sure that my brides look like they've got skin instead of like they've been dipped in thick paint! I use cruelty-free make-up and skincare and aim to bring my fun and calming personality to your wedding morning to set you up for the most fantastic day. No two brides are the same, but you can be sure to rely on me for your wedding morning when you've read reviews from my previous clients. Get in touch if you've any questions, as I'd love to hear from you :)
Frequently Asked Questions:
Do I need a trial?
Absolutely! Before the big day, I always recommend a trial; this will let us get to know each other a bit first and you can find out what information you need from me well in advance. We’ll discuss what you want your make-up to do for you; bold brows, subtle shimmer, sharp cheekbones or bright eyes; I won’t rest until you’re 100% happy and have a beaming smile.
How many people can have their make-up done?
As many as time will allow me! The biggest bridal party I've done was of 10. As long as I've got caffeine, I'm alright ;) For bigger parties, I can bring an assistant.
What make-up brands do you use?
Absolutely all sorts. It's a shame that some of the more well-known make-up brands test on animals, but I take great pride in using products that are Cruelty-Free and I have a lot of vegan makeup brands too. I've researched many products and brands to make sure I don't compromise on quality. My kit list includes but is not limited to Illamasqua, Urban Decay, Ardell, Hourglass, ELF, Barry M, Body Shop, Tarte, Real Techniques, Morphe and Sugarpill. I use First Aid Beauty, Soap and Glory or B. for my skincare. If you've any questions about what I use, get in touch!
How long do you allow for each person's makeup on the day?
I tend to want to allow an hour for the bride's make-up and around 45 minutes per additional guest in the bridal party. Timings can be discussed at your trial. I only do one wedding a day, so I'll be with you for whatever you need and as long as you need!
Do I need to pay a deposit to secure my wedding date?
Yes. A non-refundable deposit of £150.00 is required to hold the date of your wedding in my diary up until your trial run. This amount is then taken off the rest of your booking.
How far will you travel for a wedding?
Wherever I'm needed and wanted, I will go! I've been to Croydon, Llangollen, Grimsby, Southend on Sea and those closer to home like Chesterfield, Leicestershire, Derbyshire and Warwickshire. Travel charges will apply outside of a 20-mile radius of NG6 and are charged at 50p per mile, based on a return journey. I've got a valid passport too if you're getting married abroad ;)
When is the best time to book you?
I always recommend people get in touch as soon as they can when they book their wedding day. Peak wedding season can book up some 12-18 months in advance, and I will only take on one wedding a day to provide a personal and professional service.
Do you do hair as well as makeup?
No, I don't provide any hair-styling services; hairstyling to me is wizardry! I'm a specialist bridal and events makeup-artist with over 10 years experience and pride myself on having really high standards of service. I can recommend you a number of amazing hairstylists that I work with on a regular basis who have years of experience.

I felt a million dollars!
Wasnt really sure what to expect from having a bridal trial but it’s so worth doing. Sali was really great at adapting the look I wanted when we did the trial. We brought the wedding forward due to Covid & we’re lucky that all our suppliers were able to join on new date. Things ran smoothly on the morning of the wedding when applying the make up but it’s really Sali’s years of doing this and helpful advice and tips that make a bride feel calm and not get stressed. She also had interesting ideas for extra shots for the photographer which I can’t wait to see. That first view standing in front of the mirror with dress, hair, make up and bouquet was second to none bridal experience.

Sali was an excellent bridal make up artist from start to finish. We talked about what we wanted my look to be, and she delivered! I'm not normally someone that wears make up so I was worried that my make up would make me look different to my normal self, but she managed to make the my face enhanced and glowing without looking over the top! On the day, Sali was a lovely presence to have in the house; she's always fun and positive and helped calm any last minute wedding nerves! She was also efficient and worked steadily through me, my three bridesmaids, and my Mum to a strict timetable that allowed us to be ready in plenty of time. I have no hesitation is recommending Sali as a make up artist: she's friendly, considerate, and most of all, really good at making you look beautiful!Sent on 02/11/2012
Sali did my bridal make-up + three bridesmaids for my wedding on 12th August 2018 and she did an absolutely fantastic job – I’m so happy that I chose Sali! Sali was brilliant through every step of the process, from booking to the wedding day and her email correspondence was always spot on! Sali was even kind enough to pick me up from Nottingham train station for my make-up trial as I travelled down from Manchester for the day and made what could have been a stressful day as easy as possible :) I was rather vague in what I wanted for my bridal make-up, but Sali asked to look at photos of me with my make-up done and went from there to produce a look that I fell in love with – even going through 4 or 5 different shades of red lipstick to find ‘the one’! On the wedding morning, Sali worked brilliantly to make myself and my bridal party feel both at ease and beautiful! She also has a great sense of humour and is so easy to get on with. The bridal pack Sali provides is very thoughtful – the sweets were needed for energy purposes and the tissues were used during the ceremony! Sali is also a dab-hand with a hair grip - I’d have never gotten all the buttons on my wedding dress fastened if it wasn’t for Sali’s helping hand! My make-up stayed put all day through to the early hours – even after plenty of drinking and dancing – and my eyebrows have never looked so good! I can’t recommend Sali highly enough! Thank you so much for everything! :) xxxSent on 04/09/2018
