Helena did mine and my bridesmaids make up for my wedding in May and I felt so beautiful.

She is very professional and such a nice person to have with you on your wedding day, chatty and friendly.

I could have fallen asleep as she was doing my make up as she is so gentle, you definitely feel pampered! She is very hygienic and ensured to cleanse all the equipment and her hands before going on to the next person, this made me feel very comfortable and my skin was safe within her hands!

Overall, she is amazing and a lovely person to have with you on the morning of your wedding. Thank you so much Helena, if I have any other events in the future I wouldn’t hesitate to contact you again

Helena was incredible. From first meeting her to the trail to the wedding day. She is definitely a professional in makeup. I loved getting to know her during the trail. My bridesmaids, MoH and mother in law love their makeup. Everyone kept asking me on the wedding day/night if I had to do any touch ups and the only thing I had to do was touch my lipstick up.

I honestly couldn’t recommend Helena enough! From the very beginning, she was so warm, welcoming and lovely to work with. She was really open to all of my ideas and thoughts and was more than happy to try different things during my trial so we could find the perfect hair and makeup look for my wedding day.

On the morning of the wedding, Helena was absolutely amazing. She took so much time and care to make sure everything was just right, patiently perfecting my hair and makeup until I was completely happy — and I know I can be very fussy! 😂

She managed to strike the perfect balance between natural and glam, which was exactly what I was looking for. My makeup stayed absolutely perfect all day, through all the celebrations, and looked amazing in every single photo.

I honestly couldn’t recommend her enough! She did the hair and makeup for me, my bridesmaids my mother-in-law and my maid of honour on the morning of my wedding, and she was absolutely amazing from start to finish.

She made everyone feel so comfortable and relaxed, and somehow managed to keep the whole morning calm, fun and completely stress-free. Everyone looked beautiful, and I was so happy with how my own hair and makeup turned out — I still felt like myself, just the best version of me!

Everything lasted perfectly throughout the whole day and night, and she was such a lovely person to have there with us on such a special morning. I’m so grateful she was part of our wedding day and would 100% recommend her to any future bride.

I booked Helena for my wedding, having been very happy with my trial beforehand. She was part of a duo, with Helena providing the hair and a colleague providing the makeup for our wedding party.

Unfortunately, my experience on the wedding day was disappointing. My own hair did not look as good as it had at the trial, the decorative hair clip was positioned inside my veil rather than outside as intended, and the style did not resemble what had been trialled. My makeup also did not last and by the end of the ceremony it was visibly noticeable - the groom asked ‘if I needed to go and touch up as I was patchy’. I appreciate it was warm but again, I would have expected the makeup to have lasted longer.

My biggest disappointment was my mum's hair. The schedule had been arranged by Helena, yet my mum's hair and makeup did not start until around 11:30, despite her needing to be completely ready by 12:00. This left only around 30 minutes for both services to be completed. Her hair appeared rushed, with visible grips, and the finished style was not what we had expected - she requested a French tip but ended up with a rushed half up half down with her hair slightly straightened when she did not want this. As she had paid the same £135 as the other members of the wedding party, I was particularly disappointed that she appeared to have been left with so little time for her hair and makeup.

I also overheard Helena saying to the makeup artist that she needed to be going, which added to my impression that my mum's hair was being rushed.

Another aspect that I found particularly difficult was the repeated conversation throughout the morning about a friend of Helena's who had recently passed away from cancer. I completely appreciate that losing someone close to you is extremely upsetting and I have every sympathy for her loss. However, hearing about it repeatedly throughout my wedding morning had a significant effect on the atmosphere and, for me, really brought the mood down on what should have been a happy and exciting occasion, alongside conversations around past relationships which had broken down, which felt an unusual topic of conversation given the circumstances. The bridal party and myself felt uncomfortable raising this at the time, as we didn't want to appear insensitive to what she was going through.

I didn't raise my concerns on the morning because it was my wedding day and neither my mum nor I wanted to cause additional stress or delay immediately before the ceremony. I don't feel that not complaining at the time should be taken as an indication that we were completely satisfied.

After the wedding I contacted Helena privately to explain my concerns and hoped we could resolve the matter amicably. Unfortunately, despite contacting her again, I have not received a resolution.

Helena had originally asked me for a testimonial and professional photographs for her portfolio. Having reflected on my experience, I unfortunately cannot provide the positive testimonial I had originally intended.

I am sharing this as an honest account of my experience, as I would have appreciated knowing this before making my booking.

Helena did a lovely job on my bridal hair and makeup as well as three lots of makeup and two lots of hair on my bridesmaids which turned out great too. She was really receptive to tweaks to our final looks on the day, making sure we were all really happy with our glam!

She listened to what we wanted, also gave advice and we swapped ideas.

All three of us loved our hair and makeup it was perfect.

There was no Stress, just a chilled experience throughout. She made us all feel very comfortable.

Booking in with Helena was super easy, she was very responsive, quickly sorted a quote and invoice.

The trial was an amazing opportunity to spend a couple of hours trialling options, especially as someone that rarely makes a huge effort with my make up beyond the basics.

On the day Helena was incredible, listening to each member of the party to create a look they were comfortable with.

She also must be some kind of magician because in 34 degrees we all still looked great come the end of the night with make up firmly in place.

Helena is chatty, bubbly and puts your mind at ease, felt very comfortable throughout. Helena worked her magic even in extreme heat, I had many lovely compliments on my bridesmaid hair and makeup! Thank-you Helena☺️

I booked Helena for my daughter's prom to do her hair and makeup. Helena was professional and on time, she kept in contact with us before the day, she is a lovely lady who made my daughter look absolutely amazing. Helena did exactly what my daughter wanted and gave fantastic advice. She is amazing at what she does her products are high quality and my daughter looked the same at the end of the night has she did at the beginning. Hair stayed in place and makeup stayed on. Thank you Helena we will be using you again soon.

We had a lovely lady called Laine who was arranged for us by Helena. Laine did a fantastic job of helping us all look and feel amazing on the day. She arrived on time with everything she needed. Laine worked really hard and had us all ready and looking fabulous in plenty of time. The whole experience was relaxed and fun. There was no rushing around or panicking. Everything was really chilled and a fantastic experience. My makeup stayed perfect all day and everyones hair lasted until the end of the night, even through all the dancing! Thank you to Laine - a very talented lady.

Been going to Helena for a few years now for beauty treatments and always been consistently impressed with my lash lift. Recently went to her for wedding guest makeup and I was so happy. The makeup felt lovely and lightweight on my skin but still gave good coverage. I especially liked how my eyes were done. Helena is soo lovely and I 100% recommend to anyone who is looking for natural makeup. Xx

Helena, is such a lovely, polite and funny lady. She did my mum’s makeup and all the bridesmaids makeup, We were all very happy with the results and felt confident. She even helped my aunt cover up some really red tan lines and it was very well covered. She gave me some good tips on makeup products and how to use them. I would recommend her to anyone that is looking for a Makeup artist.

Brilliant from start to finish. Helena spent time to get the finer details right and was always happy to listen to any changes I wanted on the day. She was confident and bubbly which really helps to calm your nerves on the wedding day! Helena did my hair and make up on the day and I was thrilled with both. She even did my mums hair for me as she was stressing about putting fresh flowers in her hair and Helena just did it for free for her which was lovely. I couldn’t recommend her enough!!

It was such a lovely morning getting ready with Helena! She did my makeup, my mum's and my bridesmaids' makeup and she delivered high energy and great vibes to get our day started!

She made us all look so beautiful! She carefully listened to what we wanted and even freestyled when my mum didn't know what she actually wanted. Makeup was great all day and survived the hottest day of May for a wedding!
