I wish I had photos back from my photog, but I didn’t want to delay reviewing Chris. The cake was perfectly simple, as we wanted, and so delicious! The buttercream and sponge were beautiful, and the flowers were so intricate. My only regret is that I didn’t order a bigger one to enjoy it for longer! Thank you so much for our perfect cake, Chris!

We found this supplier as it was recommended by our venue. We got cake samples from a couple of different cake shops in Notts and the samples we brought from the Ruddington Cake Company tasted the best! We ordered our cake to be three tiers - the bottom tier was red velvet cake, decorated with full buttercream and the top two tiers were Belgian chocolate cake with Belgian chocolate buttercream and these two cakes were in the 'semi naked' style. Lisa was amazing via email, helping and advising us, so that together we could design the wedding cake that we wanted for a good price. We decided we wanted to get real flowers from our florist to decorate the cake and Lisa arranged these for us on the wedding day. The cake looked good and tasted delicious!

Ruth at Southwell Cakery is amazing, our wedding cake was perfect and the guests couldn’t get enough! It lasted for ages after the big day too. The communication was brilliant throughout (even in the midst of a pandemic!) and it was easy to order samples - I recommend the red velvet and chocolate orange - but there were many more flavours to choose from. Would definitely recommend!

Alison is very friendly and understands what you want quickly. She has patience and deals with even your tiniest concerns, which puts your mind at rest. She provides options if you are working on a budget and provided lovely cake samples to try before you decide if you want to go ahead. She came early and delivered, set up the cake herself and left before any guest arrived. I would recommend.
