GemMakeup is a professional freelance makeup artist based in Kent - founded in 2017. Gemma Specialises in Bridal Makeup describing her style as modern, luxury and soft but still glam! Also being fully mobile bringing makeup services to you in the comfort of your own home or chosen location.
Gemma has trained alongside industry professionals to become a fully qualified makeup artist prior to launching GemMakeup obtaining a degree in Specialist Makeup at University. Whilst studying TV and film makeup Gemma gained the knowledge of how to make your makeup look photo ready not only on camera but in real life.
With a total of 10+ years in the industry, completing over 200 weddings, having a vast knowledge of makeup products and techniques Gemma goes above and beyond staying with you on your wedding morning right up until your ceremony to ensure each bride has a unique experience as well as a perfect, smooth and calm wedding morning getting glam!

What services do you offer?
Makeup
What is included in the wedding package?
Makeup will be supplied for the bride and each member of the bridal party booked. Gemma will stay with you for top ups until your ceremony time to ensure the makeup is absolutely perfect
How far in advance should I contact you?
Gemma is currently taking bookings up until December 2025. It is never too early to get in touch!
Trials will need to be completed around 4-6 months prior to the wedding date
Do you work at homes?
Yes
What is the charge for travelling?
Travel charge is based upon 60p 2024 and 70p 2025 per mile to and from your location if over 15 miles away or over 45 minutes away. Any toll or parking charges will also be included in travel costs
What is your main business area?
Make up
Could you stay with the bride until the photo shoot?
Yes
How many people can you beautify for one wedding?
Gemma is comfortable to take on a maximum x6 makeups alone however for larger bridal parties can hire an additional makeup artist to carry out any extra makeups
Can you provide your beauty services for pre-wedding and post-wedding photography?
Yes
What are the forms of payment?
Gemma only accepts BACs payments and does not accept cash payment for wedding bookings. Details are supplied upon booking/enquiring and an invoice will be sent with your payment deadline date on

Cannot recommend Gemma enough, she is a dream!
From the minute I enquired to the special day, Gemma has been nothing but sheer excellence, Her work is just beautiful and what really drew me into her page.
At the trial she was just so friendly, professional and effortless at makeup, really understanding my skin, makeup preferences and type of look i wanted to have for the day. She really took the time to understand all aspects of the wedding to ensure both mine and my bridesmaids makeup matched with the colour scheme and theme of the wedding.
She was so on the ball with everything and was always there for any queries i had, It was like talking to a friend rather than a supplier!
On the day she was very prompt with her timing, professional with the order of completing the makeup on the bridal party and was just brilliant at working alongside my hair stylist. The makeup really spoke for itself with the beauty of it and made me and my bridesmaids really feel amazing. I really cannot recommend Gemma enough, she is a strong business woman who really is top class in her profession! Her work really does speak for itself but she is also just a genuinely lovely person who i would consider a friend now.

still looking for a makeup artist? Gemma is your woman!
Gemma did both my makeup trial and my bridal makeup. I’m not a massive makeup person so I was anxious for this to be done but as soon as I met Gemma she made me feel so at ease. I was instantly impressed as soon as I had my trial and did exactly what I asked for and more! My wedding day Gemma made me feel like a princess and so calm and collected. Outstanding!
I had the pleasure of Gemma for a trial and my wedding day. She was so relaxing, calm and trusting. She made me and my bridesmaids feel at ease on the day and feel beautiful. She really knows about skin and make up and what works with each individual person. I feel like she’s so calm on the day which is what you need on your wedding day, it’s like having a facial before your wedding!. I would 100% recommend Gemma for make up especially your wedding day if you want someone who is reliable, honest and friendly who will make you feel like a million dollars 💕🙏.

The best MUA around!!
Gemma is just the best MUA there is! From meeting at the trial to my wedding day she listened, understood and then delivered!! All of my bridal party were thrilled with their make up, including my mother who was apprehensive about wearing a full face of make up, but Gemma was able to put her af ease and she love it! I even struggled to remove my glam at 2am which says a lot! Not only is Gemma fantastic at her job she is also a lovely human being. Would highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing!
Gemma was truly one of the best decisions I made for my wedding. Her makeup skills are phenomenal and flawless but she’s also a fantastic person to have around you on the morning of the wedding. She’s kind and patient, professional and friendly and nothing is too much hassle for her, she goes above and beyond for you and makes you feel like a princess the whole time. My bridal trial and wedding day makeup was perfect and lasted all night. Gemma is absolutely fantastic at what she does!

The BEST bridal makeup artist!!
Gemma is not only an incredibly talented make up artist but she is also a really lovely person and I'm so glad I found her! From first contact when I sent an online enquiry right through the booking process, trial, and up until applying the finishing touches to my makeup just before I walked down the aisle, Gemma was a true professional and clearly loves what she does which really shows in her work! Just the best!
Gem was amazing from start to finish. She was so understanding of my specific needs and worries about reactions to products. I needed products with little or no scent and she did great, she knows her products inside out and selected the perfect ones for me. My trial was wonderful and I really enjoyed chatting away with her throughout. On my wedding day she made me feel so beautiful, I couldn’t have wished for a better makeup artist. My bridesmaids looked fantastic and she made my daughter so happy giving her little sparkly eyes, little touches that mean the world. So very happy with her wonderful work.

Gemma is an amazing makeup artist, wedding supplier and person.
Gemma’s kit was immaculate and contains the widest range of luxury, professional products I’ve ever seen. She listens carefully to what you would like and works her magic to create the most stunning makeup looks. My makeup lasted all day and all night and didn’t budge one bit! I felt so lovely!
The other thing about Gemma is she has such a friendly, calming nature and makes everyone feel so comfortable which is exactly what you need on the morning of your wedding.
I’d highly recommend Gemma to everyone, you won’t be disappointed!

The best bridal make up
Wow what can I say about Gemma. She was amazing from start to finish. I booked her early as she’s so popular and she was so flexible with communication - we spoke lots to arrange trials etc. Gemma is a make up professional and created my dream bridal make up, and all of my bridesmaids looked beautiful and were so happy. It lasted all day. If you love make up, Gemma has it all, plus the talent! She was incredible at keeping me calm on my wedding morning too, I wish we could do it everyday. Thank you Gemma!!

Incredible!
Gemma was absolutely incredible on my wedding day back in June! She catered to everyone from minimal to full coverage and everyones makeup looked fantastic even by the end of the night. I was so happy with my makeup, literally EVERYTHING was perfect! Gemma also made us all feel really comfortable and relaxed on the day as she is so friendly too.
