Don't Tell The Bride First As Bride Refuses to Get Married!
Don’t Tell the Bride never fails to leave its viewers in
suspense. Whether it’s a Beauty and the Beast themed wedding or a race-track
ceremony, there’s always something out of the ordinary.
Every week viewers watch in anticipation as brides put up with the most obscure wedding themes, wondering if one day, one bride might just snap and say, "I don't!" - and bride-to-be Sofia did just that.
Thursday's episode achieved a never-seen-before situation
for the show, when a very angry bride actually cancelled the wedding.
Bride Sofia was left furious after learning that partner of
eight years, Craig, had planned Oktoberfest themed nuptials.
Sofia’s rage wasn’t just aimed at the wedding theme; the
bride-to-be hated her wedding dress so much she insisted on stopping off at a local
KFC restaurant to change into an alternative floral outfit.
Fuming at the plans
her groom had organised, Sofia said: “I don’t want to marry someone that nasty.
“There’s no point in letting him make a fool of me.
“I’m done, I don’t think there’s any chance of salvaging it.
I’ve given him so many chances.”
With their relationship at stake, the pair made a brief visit to a nearby children’s playground to try and sort things out. Sofia, 26, vented her anger to Craig, 32, but seemed to come around to the prospect of getting married to him, after all.
Despite her apparent compliance, it was later confirmed that the vows Sofia and Craig exchanged at the ceremony were not legally binding.
At the end of the show, E4 made a statement saying: “At the time of making this
programme Craig and Sofia had decided not to make their wedding legal and were
working together on their relationship.”
Although this is a first for the controversial wedding show,
Sofia had made it very clear throughout the episode that if Craig’s plans weren’t
what she wanted, she wouldn’t attend the wedding, telling the show: “If Craig
doesn’t know me by now it’s probably warning signs.
“If, after eight years of being together, if they can’t pick
what you want at your wedding, I don’t think you should be together.
“If he gets things really wrong and I don’t like anything I
actually won’t go.”
Chuckling to the camera after the ceremony, Craig said: “I
don’t know why she thought it was a good idea giving me control.
“This was a bad idea, a very bad idea.”
Whilst Craig was clearly regretting his decisions, Sofia
said: “I think we need deep and serious talks and try and get back on track –
but who knows with us.”
What’s your take on this, do you think Sofia was right to
stand her ground and not legally marry Craig? Let us know in the comments below!
