Yes - and now she’s engaged! After keeping her romance private for several months, Emily revealed the news of her engagement in July 2025 via Instagram, posting a joyful photo of the couple beaming as she flashed her ring. 

Emily Atack is engaged to Dr Alistair Garner. The couple have known each other for several years, due to being ‘step-cousins’. They are not biologically related, but Alistair’s step-mother is the sister of Emily’s mother. 

The actress has spoken out against the misleading claims that the pair are biologically related, calling the rumours ‘awful’. She told the Guardian: "There were so many articles which were really hurtful, trying to make out there was something untoward about my relationship,

"There were headlines saying that I was dating my cousin, which is very damaging.”
