How They Met

Katherine and Alexander, both 33 from Berkshire, met on a Christian dating site, where their connection first sparked.

“We spent our first date in London, going to church, enjoying lots of sushi, sipping coffee, and strolling through some of the city’s beautiful parks. We felt God’s presence throughout the day and received answers to prayer that reaffirmed his blessing on our relationship.”

The Proposal

Alexander planned a surprise trip for his birthday weekend, which turned into the proposal of a lifetime at Stourhead National Trust.

“We had a private tour that took us to the Temple of Apollo on the hill - the same place where Mr. Darcy proposed in the Pride and Prejudice movie. It already felt like stepping into a fairytale. 

The sun was sparkling on the lake below, and our tour guide stepped back to “let us enjoy the view together,” just before Alexander guided me up towards the temple. 

He asked me to look at the view for a moment longer, then told me to turn around - where I saw him down on one knee, holding out the most beautiful ring. 

He declared his love for me and asked whether I would marry him, to which I responded, of course.”

The magic didn’t stop there - staff appeared with champagne so they could toast their engagement in style.

Wedding Plans

The couple are tying the knot in April 2026 at a castle with an on-site chapel.

“We’re really looking forward to celebrating with our closest family and friends. The chapel will create an intimate atmosphere for our vows. Photography, videography, and catering are also top priorities, as we want to capture every memory and share a fantastic dining experience with our guests.”

I’m already registered on Hitched - can I still enter the competition?

Yes! Simply confirm your Hitched login details on our landing page, and then you can participate. Click here if you need more info. We recommend sharing this page with anyone you know who is getting married, including your partner.

Can I take part if I’ve already booked with a honeymoon agency?

Yes. If you win, we will reimburse the cost of your honeymoon (up to £5,000), provided the agency or company is listed on Hitched. Discover honeymoon travel agents here.

How do I know if I’m taking part?

Once you've registered on this page, you’ll receive confirmation that your Wedding Passport is active. You’ll also be notified via email. If you're registered correctly, you’ll be able to access your Wedding Passport, view the stamps you’ve earned, and track those you're still missing. Once your passport is complete, you’ll be entered into the prize draw. 

Who can enter?

Anyone aged 18 or over and residing in the United Kingdom can participate. The prize can only be spent on a wedding held in the UK and used towards the honeymoon with one (1) vendor listed on Hitched. If you're not getting married in the UK, we encourage you to share this opportunity with your engaged friends and family.

When will the winner be announced?

We’ll contact the winner in mid-November 2025 by telephone and publish their name at the end of November or beginning of December 2025.

Are the passport stamps updated automatically?

Yes. Each time you request information from a wedding vendor in a new category, you’ll automatically receive a stamp. Please note that your stamps may take a moment to appear on your passport page, or there may be a delay in your email confirmation. If it takes longer than 24 hours, please contact us at support@hitched.co.uk. You can also try clearing your cache before getting in touch.

Should I wait to book vendors until the winner is announced?

No need to delay your plans. Go ahead and book your vendor or venue via Hitched to secure your dates. If you win, we’ll reimburse your honeymoon costs (up to £5,000).

What if I register on the wrong page?

Only registrations made on this page will be valid. If you encounter issues, email us at: support@hitched.co.uk

Can I win if I'm getting married outside of the United Kingdom?

No. The prize is only valid for weddings held in the United Kingdom, and the honeymoon must be linked to that wedding.

Can I use the prize money to book with a wedding vendor not listed on Hitched?

No. The vendor must be listed on Hitched. If you booked with a vendor not on our platform, we won’t be able to reimburse the cost. However, you can use the prize to book new services with a different honeymoon vendor listed on Hitched. If you’d like to use a specific agency not on our site, you can invite them to join - it’s free to sign up.

Will I be able to choose the date of my honeymoon?

Yes, within our timeframe. Your wedding must take place between 2nd September 2025 and 30th September 2026, and the honeymoon between 1st November 2025 and 31st December 2026. If your wedding is in December 2026, your honeymoon may take place up to 60 days afterwards.

Is the prize transferable? If I win, but I don't want it, can I give it to an engaged friend?

No. The prize is non-transferable. If you know someone getting married, please share this opportunity with them so they can register too.

Which vendors are included?

Any honeymoon or travel vendor listed on Hitched is eligible. The £5,000 prize must be used towards honeymoon services.

Any recommendations when it comes to choosing a honeymoon vendor?

Yes! Check out our latest Wedding Awards winners. These vendors have been highly rated by real couples and can be filtered by category - including honeymoon services.

What happens after the honeymoon?

Hitched will work with you and your chosen vendor to share your story and inspire other couples. This may include creating content about your wedding and the competition experience.

I registered to enter the contest, but I can't find my passport to see my progress. Where is it?

On desktop, visit your Hitched profile and click on Wedding Passport. On the app, tap the three dots at the bottom of the screen and select Wedding Passport from the menu. If your login details weren’t saved, you’ll need to log in using the same email and password you used to register on Hitched.

How can I send a request to receive a double entry?

To earn your fourth stamp, which counts as a double entry, contact a wedding vendor from a new category you haven’t connected with yet (e.g. florist, photographer, entertainment, cars).Send a personalised message directly via their Hitched listing. Messages sent outside Hitched will not count.

All requests must be made between 2nd September and 31st October 2025. You’ll receive an automatic confirmation of your double entry.

I sent messages to several vendors before the 2nd of September 2025  - will I receive stamps on my passport?

No. Only requests made between 2nd September and 31st October 2025 will count, and only if you’ve already registered on this page. We recommend exploring new services you might need to complete your passport

I requested information from a wedding professional, but didn't receive a stamp.

Ensure you're registered via the correct contest page.

Also, you must request quotes from different categories to earn stamps (e.g. photography, catering, favours, florists).

If you contact multiple professionals in one category, you’ll still only receive one stamp.

If my honeymoon is also my destination wedding, can I use the prize for the wedding?

No. The prize must be used solely for honeymoon services with professionals listed on Hitched. Destination weddings are not eligible.

I downloaded the app within the timeframe 2nd of September to 31st of October, so does that mean I'm participating in the Wedding Passport contest to win a honeymoon?

Downloading the app is a great first step, but it doesn’t count as registration. You still need to sign up on this page to activate your Wedding Passport and enter the contest. Good luck!
