We held our wedding at Sandy Cove taking up the ‘Exclusive Use’ winter package. Sammie our on the day wedding coordinator was absolutely fantastic and took all the stress off us. The weather was miraculously fantastic for December in North Devon and the venue staff were willing to help us set our ceremony up last minute outside if we wanted.
The quality of our wedding breakfast food was excellent and the venue was flexible to accommodate dietary needs from guests.
The bridal party loved the ‘get ready’ room which was a fun way to prepare out of sight of the rest of the guests (and the groom!)
We had support from the wedding admin team on the lead up to the wedding, with templates for us to complete to organise all the table plans and food options. All very organised.
The venue itself is truly beautiful. It was a nice bonus to be able to walk down the beach steps to get some photos - though being winter and 350 steps we only made it half way!
The hotel accommodation was really handy for all of our guests, especially as we got the whole hotel bar/restaurant to ourselves for the night before the wedding to throw a pizza party. The renovated swimming pool and spa is very luxurious and had only newly opened when we held our event.
Overall it was a magical weekend, we are so happy to have chosen Sandy Cove for our big day! -

We had a wonderful wedding day. all the staff went above and beyond to make our day special, especially Sammie, Dawn and Sharna. we cant thank them enough. i would highly recommend getting married at sandy cove. we plan to book a stay for 2027 for our anniversary -

We recently had our wedding at Sandy Cove Hotel, and we honestly couldn’t have wished for a more perfect venue or a better team to look after us. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, everything was exceptional.
The staff went above and beyond for us, nothing was ever too much trouble. Sharna, Deb, Nadine, Sammy and the entire Sandy Cove team were warm, organised, and genuinely invested in making our day special. Their communication, care, and attention to detail meant we never had to worry about a thing. We truly felt supported every step of the way.
The venue itself is breathtaking. The views, the ceremony space, the atmosphere, everything felt magical. Our guests were blown away, and we’ve had so many lovely comments about how beautiful the setting was and how smoothly the day ran.
The food, the service, the accommodation, and the overall experience were exceptional. We felt completely relaxed and able to enjoy every moment knowing the team had everything under control. It was a day we will never forget, and Sandy Cove played a huge part in that.
Thank you for helping create the most unforgettable, joyful, and beautiful wedding day. We couldn’t recommend Sandy Cove highly enough to any couple looking for a truly special venue. -

The best day of our lives, thanks to Sandycove!
Firstly I want to say thank you to all at Sandycove who made our day so special!
From planning, to every minute of our stay we were treated exceptionally and nothing was too much trouble. I can honestly say that EVERY member of staff we encountered were professional, friendly and helpful. The wedding planners prior and on the day, the receptionist, chef, waitress and night porter who ensured all of our needs were met, even at 5 in the morning!
Our wedding was everything I dreamed of! We had an elopement and I have had so many comments of how stunnoing our venue looked, most people thought we had been abroad. The food was 5* and the venue was beutiful, clean and welcoming.
I cant thank you all enough. They say your wedding day should be the happiest day of your life, and for us it truly was, thanks to Sandycove and all the staff. Thank you X -

Sandy Cove Review
We had such an incredible day! Our coordinator sammie but our minds at ease in the morning, decorated inside incredibly and did all she could to get us married outside. Unfortunately, the rain came just before but it was still magical inside. The food was fantastic and staff couldnt do enough for us! -

The most amazing venue, the views are obviously the selling point, but it is just incredible. Our day was the most magical day ever, from getting ready in the bridal prep room (which is an additional cost but so worth it) to the last song of the evening everything was perfect. The wedding coordinators were absolutely beautiful, down to earth, I had a laugh with them, and if anything went wrong I was not aware of it - and still not aware. Our wedding coordinators were Sammie and Anna and they were both beautiful ladies.
The food was INSANE, we opted for the BBQ which is a lot more chilled and it was all delicious. The deserts were gorgeous and the evening food was also just as delicious. Whenever my friends and family talk about the wedding the food is ALWAYS mentioned. Although it’s Sandy cove hotel it does not feel like you’re getting married at a hotel, it’s completely separate and incredibly perfect.
The staff in the hotel were so incredibly lovely, one of my wedding guests was chatting to the staff on reception until 1am the night before the wedding.
I couldn’t have wished for a better day and will be forever grateful to Sammie and Anna, the chefs and everyone at Sandy Cove. Thank you always x -

Summer Elopement Wedding with Children
Looking for an elopement wedding with your children can be challenging. When we seen Sandy Cove and the view of the coast of Ilfracombe we knew it was perfect. The packages available are very reasonable especially to get the full venue for the day. It was great to spend time as a family and enjoy it. This was supported by a wedding co-ordinator who was great and support from the events team from the initial booking helped this wedding to be unique to ourselves. They offered advice and knew their stuff about what could be achieved. The team at Sandy cove all produced excellent customer service and were there to ensure our day went perfect! Will definitely be back to relive those special moments in the future. Thank you very much Sandy Cove. -
