  Incredible

  Our wedding was perfect from start to finish. We had the exclusive use hotel and venue for Friday and Saturday, this worked perfectly for our guests who were travelling long distances to celebrate with us. Having breakfasts together each morning was really special too, I loved that the celebrations continued all weekend not just for one day! There is nothing I would have changed about our wedding day. The venue itself, view, staff, wedding co-ordinators and Kelly and Dawn were amazing! We couldn’t recommend them enough

  Absolutely Amazing Wedding!

  Our wedding at the Sandy Cove hotel was absolutely amazing. The views, the location, everything was perfect! The wedding team are amazing at getting back to you via email (I must have sent a million emails with different questions ha)! The NEW getting ready room is absolutely INSANE! Absolutely stunning! You have a breakfast area for all of your bridesmaids to eat at and then there is basically a salon at the end! I wish I could do it all again!! My guests have commented on how beautiful my wedding venue was! Thanks again!

  Absolute perfection!

  I arrived at Sandy Cove a couple of days before the wedding to get settled in and have some chill out time before the big day.
  From the moment I arrived I felt like I was the only bride there! Even though I know they are extremely busy making many brides dreams come true, I honestly felt like the only one! Everyone was so attentive, seemed to know who I was at every given turn and made me feel so special. Nothing was too much trouble, all the staff were so kind, friendly, thoughtful and helpful.
  
  The day itself ran like clockwork. All of the decorations were laid out without fault, nothing was too much trouble and was in our eyes absolute perfection. Despite the rain, it really was the best day of our lives and we will be eternally grateful to you and the whole of Sandy Cove for making it happen for us.

  We had our perfect wedding at Sandy Cove.

  We had a winter wedding at Sandy Cove in early December and it was absolutely wonderful. It was the perfect day - even better than we had imagined! From our first point of contact, the whole team at Sandy Cove were fantastic. They were professional, friendly and always quick to answer our questions. On the day, the wedding coordinator and her team were simply amazing - clearly very experienced and everything ran seamlessly. We were lucky enough to have a bright, sunny (albeit very cold) day and we were even able to pop down to the nearby beach for photos.

  October Wedding

  We had a wonderful day. The venue, the ceremony room, the food and of course the views on a beautiful October day were the very best of what we could have wished for and all brought together by our wedding coordinator who was brilliant. Thank you so much for helping us have the perfect day.

  Best venue we could ever ask for

  This venue is beyond incredible. The team were fantastic with communication, set up, making everything run smooth. The day was made perfect due to the locations views, weather and staff. Thank you for making our day perfect.

  We had the most amazing wedding at The Sandy Cove Hotel with over 140 guests. The staff were all very professional and helpful and the day went so smoothly without a hitch.
  
  The views were breathtaking and as you can see from the photos, we were particularly lucky with the weather!

  Wonderful wedding experience!

  Sandy Cove is a brilliant venue with jaw dropping views that are hard not to fall in love with! The staff are all brilliant, especially wedding coordinators Jess and Sammie who were hugely responsive to any kind of query and contact before, during and after the big day. One of the great things about the Venue is that it’s pretty much set and ready to go! It really doesn’t need much styling as the views do the job for you, and there are lots of items you can hire too. A venue stylist/ planner is not really needed because the wedding coordinators do a lot of this! I thought the price was reasonable. The food was excellent! My only criticism would be that it can be difficult to get the bridal suite room for the night before your wedding. This is because there’s a wedding most days so in my case the bride from the day before was still in that room. We were still able to get an executive room but it wasn’t very spacious which made things a little cramped during bridal prep. Overall would definitely recommend this venue if you’re looking for a dreamy costal wedding! We were very lucky with the weather for our August 2023 wedding, but if the weather isn’t on your side I can imagine it to be a bit disappointing as the indoor ceremony room just has nothing on the outdoor space!

  No Coordination

  There was no coordination or plan for a completely wet day. I wish we chose a different venue given the large price tag attached to the venue.

  Dear Harriet,
  
  We’re so sorry to read your comments below, I can only imagine the disappointment of having rain all day and night on your special day, especially after planning for an outdoor ceremony & photographs. I’m sorry you felt there was no co-ordination or plan for wet day however, I would point out that we did provide transport from the hotel to the ceremony room for the bridal party, I do appreciate that one guest did use their own car but this was unnecessary as the hotel were in control of this. I would also highlight that we have a purpose built indoor ceremony room with spectacular views of the bay to facilitate weather conditions such as those experienced on your day. Every couple would choose to get married outdoors on our amazing sky walk if they could, unfortunately and on rare occasions, this is not always possible due to the British climate. We did also provide a number of umbrellas for those guests who chose to walk to the ceremony room instead of being driven.
  
  I am concerned and confused by the statement ‘Anything that could have gone wrong from the venue, did and there was no apology.’ Having been on duty myself that day and night and also checked back with our team and external suppliers, I can find no instance of any issues other than the weather. Guests returning to the hotel later in the evening also commented on how well the day had run and that it was a real shame about the weather. If you would like me to look into any specific concerns, please do let me know and I’d be happy to look into these for you. I would like to offer my apologies for the disappointment you feel as a result of the weather, however I sure you can agree that the hotel is not responsible for the rain on the day.
  
  I do hope we will not be judged too harshly on this occasion and that with the passing of time, we may once again welcome you to Sandy Cove Hotel in the future.
