Over the Threshold is a premier live wedding band based in Barnstaple, Devon, in the South West of England. The band are available across Cornwall, Devon, Somerset and Dorset for weddings and other events. Performing hits from Justin Timberlake, The Beatles, The Killers, Oasis, The Kinks, Stereophonics and many, many more. Over the Threshold's extensive set list of classic party anthems, coupled with the band's outstanding live show, is guaranteed to have everyone on their feet and singing along.

Services Offered

Over the Threshold can provide a variety of entertainment services for every aspect of your event. These professional musicians perform live at the wedding and even offer a free DJ playlist for the times that they are not playing. This team of entertainment professionals can adjust the size of the band and even add a female vocalist to accommodate your needs and fit any occasion. Couples can also book an afternoon acoustic set to keep their guests entertained during the drinks reception.

Brilliant wedding band

We are so happy that we booked Over the Threshold as the band for our evening reception. They are really talented, easy to communicate with and all of our guests loved their music and personalities. People were so impressed and very happy to dance all evening. We didn't want the music to end.

Highly recommend

What an amazing band, we hired Over the Threshold for our wedding at the Polurrian on the Lizard and they didn’t disappoint.
All of our guests commented on how fantastic they were, the playlists were on point and kept everyone dancing all night. The songs that were requested were perfect and really added that finishing touch to our perfect day.
They even managed to keep our superb excited extrovert in check. Thank you so much and we would highly recommend!

Our advice: Book Them! You won’t regret it!

“Our wedding at Priston Mill, Bath was the best day of our lives. We could not be happier with our choice of wedding band! Over The Threshold blew us and our guests away and really are as good as their videos and reviews suggest. We have been inundated with compliments from our guests for our band and just how good they were. The dance floor was never empty and the choice of songs were perfect for all of our guests.
Our first dance performed by the band was perfect and really made our moment that bit more special.
Communication with the band before the day and during the day was spot on and we were never left worried about any part of the process. They are true professionals.
Our advice: Book Them! You won’t regret it!

Fantastic band and great entertainment

They were incredible! They have a great sound perfect for any wedding, but definitely worked well with my slightly more rock vibe. They were so entertaining and their interaction with the guests (even those who were slightly drunk and constantly requesting wonderwall) was fantastic. They would be a great choice for any wedding!

Great experience and everyone loved them!

Outstanding band

These guys were absolutely amazing! We could not recommend highly enough. All of our guests commented not only on their exceptional musical talent, but also their ability to tailor the playlist to ensure the dance floor was packed all evening long. They did a great job learning our chosen first dance and requested tracks and played them to perfection. The DJ set between the live sections was also brilliant, with the band happy to take all requests. They were all really nice polite chaps who diligently arrived on time and set up and dismantled their kit without any fuss.

What a great band !

What a great band ! They played at our wedding in August 2023, providing a beautiful acoustic set whilst we enjoyed post ceremony drinks and then maintained a full dance floor throughout their live & disco sets, to the absolute delight of all our guests. From the initial enquiry to the actual day everything went like clockwork. We were delighted with their music choices, having provided a detailed running list to choose from, as well as playing some of our special requests. We would highly recommend without hesitation!

Amazing band!

Over the Threshold were brilliant from start to finish. Booking was easy and they were quick to respond to any emails/queries we had.
They played both both an acoustic set in the afternoon and as a group in the evening. The live music made a great day even more special. They had everyone on the dance floor and the guests were raving about them at breakfast the day after.
We couldn't recommend them highly enough!

Fantastic band

What a fantastic band and a lovely bunch of lads. Was everything we wanted for our wedding. Song choices were just fantastic and couldn’t keep everyone off the dance floor. Guests were saying what an amazing band they were. Highly recommend. If your after a professional band to keep your guests entertained, then these are the guys for you. Incredible band !!

If you are looking for a band, look no more.. you have found the perfect band.
From start to finish it has been so easy to book, sort everything and then on the day they were amazing. All my guests have commented how brilliant they were and they made our wedding evening just brilliant!!!! Thank you guys. Highly recommend to anybody

Great band and DJ service

The band was lovely! They were easy to book and very flexible during the pandemic. They had a joy filled attitude arrived on time, did some great music and got us all dancing and offered a DJ service as well. Best of both worlds and a great addition to our wedding day. We would highly recommend them!

Beyond amazing 🤩

We looked at other bands for our wedding, but when we got to Over The Threshold’s website, we knew we had found the only band we wanted. From our initial contact, the guys have been amazing! We had to change our date 3 times, the guys were accommodating with every date change, but we finally got there!! We didn’t give the guys much time to learn our first dance song or the father & daughter dance song, both they absolutely aced it. It brings me to tears every time I watch the videos of our first dance & the dance with my dad, as the guys sounded beyond amazing. Every song performed was fantastic, all our guests thought the guys were awesome. We can’t thank Over The Threshold enough for being part of our big day!

Amazing band from start to finish, everybody loved them

Over the threshold performed at our wedding at Sandy cove hotel, Devon on 16.8.21, they were absolutely amazing from start to finish!! Had so many of our guests commenting on how fab they were! They made everything so easy for us and would highly recommend booking this band! X
